1  Resident Creators / EP8 Mods / Fun Gain While Chatting on the phone EP8 on: September 18, 2008, 08:58:12 am
Well that's good to hear, I just used the Hack Conflict Detection Utility, I usually do that with all my hacks before I load my game. That's all.

This appears to conflict with Pescado's phonehack, should I let his hack load before yours or after (I noticed your prefix had a z, so I assume that everything would have to load before it), or choose which one I should take out? Which will be hard to tell you the truth. :/

Thanks, but how come the indiewave speaker is really a big yellow box that says "Placeholder"?

Hopefully I didn't bork anything this time.

I can't seem to use the jewelry racks. Can't even click it, but can make the complete object buyable... I just want to get my jewelry at home:'(

The only reason you're not getting any options, is because the jewelry is meant to be sold in a home business. When I first downloaded Jaxad's objects, I wanted to have a grocery store below to buy items, but I found out the hard way that you can only sell them at home by starting a home business. And you still won't be able to buy it regardless.

Sorry it took so long to reply. I'll have to go into my game and check it out. I didn't notice this.
8  Sims 2 Community Downloads / Misc. Mods and Careers / Mods That Allows Toddlers To Use Stairs on: May 03, 2008, 01:37:13 pm
Quote from: rebecah;1231383
Actually I do have FT EP it's the others I was concerned that it might not work with.  I have had reports from others that it works with most combinations of EP's without FT installed.  I do not know positively if it will work with base game only but it should.

Why not try the AnyGameStarter by numenor? (Unless you've installed Kitchen and Bath, I suggest that you do not use it, I had to reinstall Kitchen and Bath after using it. XD )

By the way this is awesome! I don't have to worry about my toddlers screaming about not getting down. Now, for toddlers who can't walk is there/will there be a seperate one for this? Crawling up the stairs to be exact.
9  Sims 2 Community Downloads / Misc. Mods and Careers / Garden Plots Can Have Terrains Underneath their Plots. (Seasons Required) on: May 03, 2008, 01:36:01 pm
Well the plots are supposed to show up as invisible. The weird thing is how you're saying they aren't giving you any options... I don't understand how a texture override would do that. huh I'm unsure as to why it wouldn't work for you. Well, if you must take the default replacement out because it's giving you problems, by all means remove it. However, I didn't think hacks would conflict with default replacements. I also have FreeTime and BV, but I don't think that poses a risk either.

No, when I hover over, there's nothing. If I were simply forgetting where they were, I'd get the "Go Here" and "Run Here" options, and I get nothing. It simply says "No Options Available" like when you try to click on a toddler's toy or something else that has no available actions.

Hmm, what do you mean by using the design tool? I wasn't aware that there was more than one way to place garden plots. However, I've tested this also on winter's custom growable cowplant (based on seasons plot) as well as on a buyable plot after I had no luck with only maxis content. They showed up as invisible plots, and no actions were available for them either.

I'll load up the garden plot in simpe and take a look at the BHAVs and see why this might be happening. I'll post back if I figure out something.

The garden plots aren't editable with the design tool, and the garden plots don't have any BHAVs, it's a default replacement, it simply overrides the textures (TXMT, whatever it is), nothing more, nothing less; And I don't think default replacements interfere with anything unless you have more than one, (however the BHAVs don't change if you have more than one default). Try removing all of your hacks too, simply because it could be a hack conflict you have. Once again, this is simply a texture override and won't harm the game or cause hack conflicts. Wink The plots ARE SUPPOSED to show up as invisible though because once again, it's a default replacement and won't have any issues with the game, unless you have more than one, the texture will look all wonky. You also have to remember where you put the plots otherwise you'd have to go looking for them with the cursor.

And when you get "no actions available" with the toddler toys are you sure you're playing a toddler, because adults simply can't play with toddler toys, although it'd be fun to see them use them.

I'm expiriencing a problem with this mod. Now that my plots are invisible, even when I click where they are, the No Actions Available thing appears, and I can't plant anything. Cry Or is there something incredibly obvious that I missed?

What do you mean? You hover over the plots and get nothing? I have these in my game and they work fine. Make sure you remember where you put your plots, as a suggestion, put a line of flooring, then put your plots about two tiles away, place the desired terrain and it should work. Otherwise I'd like to see what's happening, or I won't know what is that's happening. Unless you're using the design tool.
12  Simmers' Paradise / Sims 2 Apartment Life Chat / Apartment Life- EP 8? on: April 24, 2008, 04:26:24 am
Ohh, as I've said over @ S2C, I truly hope that we get to sell our homes with OFB! As well, I hope we can rent out two spaces in our apartments, one part well the apartment, and the second a home business. Also, I hope we get to rent out a part of a "mall space" so we don't have to go through the hassle of running 500 stores on one lot, ohhh that'd also mean we're competing with other businesses on that one lot Cheesy I'm already getting my hopes up.

14  Simmers' Paradise / General Sims 2 Help / Kitchen bath and Interior Design Bug? on: April 22, 2008, 07:04:31 pm

did you run the game first? I think that's needed for the clothes to show up in bodyshop. try that first. you have to enable custom content to make the clothes show up ingame, so you probably have to do it for the clothes to show up in bodyshop, too.

I did run the game first. I opened up the game to see the new objects and stuff. And as well, custom content has been enabled after the stuff packs were installed and I booted up the game. I wouldn't think the clothes from stuff packs would have to show up with CC enabled.

I'll try again and see what happens, thank you for your help.
15  Simmers' Paradise / General Sims 2 Help / Kitchen bath and Interior Design Bug? on: April 22, 2008, 05:57:24 pm
Hello everyone, so yesterday, I got Kitchen Bath and Interior Design stuff along with Glamour Life, and I was wondering if anyone is having the same problem as I have:

I wanted to check out the new clothing in bodyshop, as I was doing townie makeovers and wanted to put some new clothes on them. Anywho, I opened up the Freetime Bodyhop first, and noticed there weren't any KBID clothes in any of the categories or ages. Then I opened up the KBID Bodyshop and the same problem occoured.  Also, I hope it's not interfering with the "Missing Wedding Dress" restoration by Lord Darcy. Although I don't think that's a problem seeing it only restores the clothing. As well I downloaded the FreeTime and Seasons updates on the objects from KBID by Lord Darcy. I also downloaded the KBID robe conversion by Cloudlessnights (which didn't show up) as well as the lingerie replacement by migamoo, which I know those two wouldn't interfere AT ALL because one is a mesh conversion and the other is just a texture replacement.
