1  Simmers' Paradise / General Sims 2 Help / Kitchen bath and Interior Design Bug? on: April 22, 2008, 05:57:24 pm
Hello everyone, so yesterday, I got Kitchen Bath and Interior Design stuff along with Glamour Life, and I was wondering if anyone is having the same problem as I have:

I wanted to check out the new clothing in bodyshop, as I was doing townie makeovers and wanted to put some new clothes on them. Anywho, I opened up the Freetime Bodyhop first, and noticed there weren't any KBID clothes in any of the categories or ages. Then I opened up the KBID Bodyshop and the same problem occoured.  Also, I hope it's not interfering with the "Missing Wedding Dress" restoration by Lord Darcy. Although I don't think that's a problem seeing it only restores the clothing. As well I downloaded the FreeTime and Seasons updates on the objects from KBID by Lord Darcy. I also downloaded the KBID robe conversion by Cloudlessnights (which didn't show up) as well as the lingerie replacement by migamoo, which I know those two wouldn't interfere AT ALL because one is a mesh conversion and the other is just a texture replacement.
2  Sims 2 Community Downloads / Misc. Mods and Careers / DO NOT DOWNLOAD: An Extension of Jaxad0127's Community to Residential Items on: April 21, 2008, 01:41:38 am
Do not download, as there has been an issue pointed out by lord darcy about this.

Quote from: Lord Darcy
Zazazu, I was subscribing your original MATY thread (which was deleted by Pescado) in which you pinpointed your problem to this mod, because I have been using a similar personal mod for months and have never encountered such a problem. I cannot say anything about homework, as mine does not alter it, but I have no problem in child-teen transition.

I compared fway's mod and mine, and found out  :alarm:  the GUIDs are all WRONG in fway's. Why on earth did you assign a whole new custom GUIDs to Maxis objects? That's a Very Very Bad Thing, not to mention being completely unnecessary, especially for accessory objects like homework or Uni assignment. The GUIDs for such objects are hardcoded into BHAVs. If you override them with custom GUIDs, of course the game will fail to function properly. I wouldn't be surprised if people experience similar problem with other objects, like pizza or Chinese food.

Also fway's mod re-categorizes unbuyable objects like Turn-on/off potion and homework to be visible in Buy Mode catalog. Mine does not make them appear in Buy Mode catalog. They can be selectable only via a special collection file, much like Pescado's Magic Wand. I felt it was safer, especially for accessory objects.

Once again, I am sorry to anyone for tihs, that may have caused any problems whatsoever.
3  Sims 2 Community Downloads / Misc. Mods and Careers / Garden Plots Can Have Terrains Underneath their Plots. (Seasons Required) on: April 17, 2008, 04:39:16 am

What is this download for
- It simply makes the bases of the garden plots (fertilized/non-fertilized) from Seasons invisible.
- It's a default replacement.

Why am I uploading it?
- Why to share with you all of course. Smiley

Why should it be used?
- Well you can grow vegetables without having ugly ground cover.
- You can also add groundcover underneath it, as shown below in the thumbnails.
- Because it's silly not to have it.

Extra Special thanks to:
HP @ MTS2 for sending me the textures, and she knows I wouldn't know where to find it XD.
- She also inspired me with her "Liberated Plastic Flowers."
Fanseelamb @ MTS2 for linking me to Numenor's helpful tutorial on recoloring.
Canoodle @MTS2 for the moral support.
Keely (or Linuslover30) for her Phinnius who makes a cameo in this upload.
Anyone that I have missed over @ the IRC @ MTS2.
And last but not least: The SimPE Team.

A Note For House Uploaders or anyone for that matter:
- My ReadMe File (located in the zip) has important info regarding this download, considering it's a default replacement, seeing if you put the garden plots in with a offset terrain, it'd look different to the user who would download your house.

- Also I forgot to mention that you should put the terrain first, before laying down plots, the same goes for flooring XD.
- Actually I think you can put terrain down regardless, I think it's the flooring.
- Feel free to manipulate the textures to your liking seeing it's Maxis', but you should thank HP for grabbing the textures.

Thanks for reading/downloading/using, and happy simming
