1  Simmers' Paradise / General Sims 2 Help / Re: Naked Sim = Floating Head grrr on: April 29, 2009, 10:08:14 pm
I haven't fixed- or even tried to yet- but I think I will start by sorting through all the custom skins and figuring out which ones are floaters.  LOL

I then will just find a file where i can link the floater to a showerproof tone... I did it once long ago- I am hoping it will all "come back to me" when I try it again... like riding a bike?  lol

Will let ya know if I make any progress. Smiley

Wow. What "crazy" mod did you use?

Oh it came from over at MTS2= it's the spinny thing that the loony-dr shows up with when sims go insane- but it's been hacked into an object- you put it in a room and then put the sim in there and they go crazeeee!

You can choose temporary or permanently insane- but if you do permanently the sim stays in the crazee loop foreeeeeever!

It's fun to be mean to sims sometimes- I like to make people I'm mad at then lock them away in the nut house.

bwahahahaha-- yeah I got issues.   rolleyes

here is the link if anyone else is as demented as I am... hehehe

Hmmm- I know I have some of his skins- but the two that are giving me problems right now are from some sims that I downloaded... the creator of both those sims claims that he did the skintones himself.  They are just fine until you get in the shower- then POOF just a head.  lol

I had figured out how to link the tones when I made some sims for other people- I had some that were not showerproof and I was able to fix them...

Problem is... I don't recall now how I did it!   Undecided

I will play around with it more later... for now I'm working on simming some requests and don't have time to play with my sim heads anyhoo! rofl

Egads- was afraid of that.

I don't know why I am so afraid of sim PE.

It seems sooo complicated.  LOL

Thanks for the reply.  Smiley

I've noticed it's mostly the cc I've downloaded for the body-builder ish sim guys.

Guess I can play them skinny for a bit til I've sorted it all out. Wink

Just a note...

Since I added AL I've had issues with jewelry showing up fine in CAS and then going all blue-flashy in game.

If I add the jewelry IN game it shows up fine.

Anyone having the same issue- thought this might be helpful.  Wink

OH- and this set is GORGEOUS in game- I hope you will make LOTS more!  I WUV IT!  Grin

5.93 GB (6,376,075,264 bytes)

21,043 files

541 folders

*and that doesn't include the drawer of discs (about 13) that I have saved stuff on so that I can load it when I want it*

Yep that is what I did- I downloaded the Mercy Hospital and the medical sets, some gowns, etc.

Then I used the doors to keep patients "admitted" until they were well.

I also added a cheat that makes the sims go crazeeee for the "psychiatric ward" of the hospital.  Wink

Works great for this too. Cheesy
10  Simmers' Paradise / General Sims 2 Help / Re: how to have a concert? on: April 18, 2009, 01:41:05 am
Well it looks as if a stage was created, instruments placed, and the sims were directed to "perform" to give it the look of a concert. Smiley

As for the crowd- that is likely from a pose box- there are tons out there - just have to find the right one.

Here are some lots for concerts that might help get you started:

http://linna.modthesims2.com/download.php?t=74587

I downloaded a lot from somewhere- prob. either here, tsr, or mts that is called "desert rock concert" and has TONS of stuff all set up- just add sims.

I can't remember where but maybe you can search for it and see if it comes up?  Smiley

I love it!  We home school irl so I had to have a way to do so in my game too! LoL

I have all ep's and all sp's except for the ikea one.

I have a download folder that would make anyone else hear shiver with fear and run screaming... seriously... I have a downloading problem.

Even with all the crap in my dl folder- including tons of hacks and mods- I have NEVER had a single issue with the simlogical one.

I hope this helps- I know I've really enjoyed having it in my game!
12  Simmers' Paradise / General Sims 2 Help / Naked Sim = Floating Head grrr on: April 18, 2009, 12:58:21 am
I am soo tired of making these great sims only to get them in game and and see that as soon as they hop in the shower (or get nude in any other way) that suddenly... they are just floating heads.  angry

I've always tried to be sure any custom sims I've made had showerproof skins... but apparently not everyone is as worried about that when they make a custom skin.  sigh.

Is there a way to change the sims skintone in game- or will that even fix this?

I never know which custom skins are going to have the "floating head" syndrome until it's too late. lol

If anyone can tell me how to fix or avoid having floating heads in my game I'd be quite appreciative.   Wink

huh

Oh come on now, someone must know something...

What about the skintone changer by christianlov?  will this work to fix the sims I have in the game that are already- heads?

 Undecided

LOL- it's all good- it happens to us all.

Life gets crazy and you make something soooo cool that you simply forget to upload it.  rolleyes

I grabbed them and will be wearing them- in game at least- they're really pretty and perfect for my sim who longs to be a music teacher at the local elementary school. Cheesy
