*my first attempt at something creative*

Ok, so I don't post a lot... I don't "create" anything cool.  I mostly just spend HOURS downloading everyone elses cool creative stuff... and with the dial-up I have I do mean HOURS.  :smt120

Anyhoo... I have always been intrigued by the self-sims here.  So, I figured what the heck I'd try to do one too.

Harder than I thought... much harder... but thanks to a lot of other peoples cc... I managed to get a reasonable likeness.

I might try to do my whole family just for kicks. :-P

So--- here it is--- er I am--- it's not exactly "right" but it's pretty close...





Oh- and the shirt "I'm" wearing... it's the first clothes I've ever made too... just a recolor... but still... I feel special... LMAO.

Thanks to ALL of the super-talented peeps out there that have made such awesome stuff for me to download!!!  :worship:  Without you guys and sites like this I'd still be playing with fugly-wugly Goopy's and living in that Maxis starter-house from game one.

What's included/not included:

The "me" sim comes with maxis hair- the hair in the pic is from Peggy Sims (donation item) and isn't included- go get it at her site.  

The jeans in the pic are not included but are from Demused Sim (see the cc list above) you can get them at MTS2- and don't forget to grab the mesh.

The "me" sim comes with maxis pants included.  

I made the tshirt recolor so that is included... the art work on the shirt is from an Avenged Sevenfold cd insert.

As far as I remember all the items I included are base game so no EP's needed- well except the jewelry- it is BV hoops.  If you don't have BV the hoops won't show up I guess- but the sim has "diamond earrings" that will still show up.  (I think?)

What you can/can't do with "me":

If you want "me" get me- just don't upload "me" to the evil-exchange or any paysites--- goodness knows NO ONE in their right minds would PAY for me but at any rate there it is... if you re-use the shirt just give me a shout out and feel free to include it in your uploads if you wish.

For realistic "me-ness" ---

I'm a life of the party, outgoing and playful, Gemini who loves my family (hubby and two boys- ages 5 and 16), all types of music, gaming, writing.  I love animals and work p/t at a pet store so if you have Pets- give me plenty of 'em.  I'm a major BOOKWORM!  You will find me with my nose in a book all the time.  Oh and I am domestically challenged!  So be ready to hire a maid and be prepared for a lot of burned meals.  LOL

I like dark hair/facial hair/mechanical- turn off - stinky of course. This should help you set up a "realistic" personality for "me".  :study:

I take NO responsibility for the "quality" of said patch- I am just pointing it out for those that are brave enough to try it out.  LOL

I've been trying to download the hospital for nearly two hours now- lol- gotta loooove dial up- sigh-

No hurry on that garage but I look forward to seeing it.

This is totally worth the looong download time... just hoping it doesn't time out before it finishes!

Oh I forgot to say that my "Strangerhood" disappeared when I installed BV.

I don't mind since I never played it- but I guess for some that might be considered a problem.

Well I was wrong- it wasn't the SecuRom- it was however another program that was a type of spyware (something like SecuRom I guess) that was also removed when I cleaned out my pc.

I installed Free Time which has the SecuRom on it and nothing has exploded yet....

I'm still not thrilled about having to have it on my computer in order to play the games though.

That is a "thing" with my game or pc...

I know this- that you have to re-enable the CC-

Sometimes though--- I click the "enable" and it sort of doesn't "take".

Does that even make sense? LOL

I logged in the second time and it was still marked as "enabled" but I went ahead and disabled and then re-enabled it just in case.

I am pretty sure it is one of those weird things that only happens to me--- kind of like the snowing crashes my game thing.  LOL

I installed BV on a pc that had NO dowloads, hacks, mods, CC or anything... at that time I wasn't aware of all this cool stuff...

Anyhoo- as I said I installed it the day after it came out and have played it all this time... and only had ONE major problem...

EVERY time it snows my game crashes...

I know this would seem to be a "Seasons" problem but it didn't do that when I was playing Seasons- UNTIL I installed BV.

Strangely enough---

I just installed Free Time... and so far... no snow-crashes.

Weird.

ANYWAY--- for the most part I had no real problems with BV except for the snow-crashing.  

(I seem to recall the error message being about my graphics card- which is not really anything to do with the game- that makes me think that it isn't a game related problem.)

Which little annoyances? If you don't mind my asking- because-

My locking gates so that random stray animals don't show up in my house- is not working- they still get in.

This didn't happen PRE- FT.

Had this occur in your game yet?

My report- LOL

I installed FT and all my custom content was showing up with that lovely blue-flashy thing.

I exited out and figured I would need to uninstall all my CC.

Instead I tried one more time- and the second time I tried to play it almost everything showed up just fine.

I had a custom pc that was a hack that didn't work- but otherwise all the other CC is there now.

The only "bugs" so far...

Even if I lock a gate or door for "disallow pets" the random pets in the neighborhood get in.

I will see them just walking through my houses at random now.

Oh- and not a glitch or bug- but the constant phone ringing is getting almost as annoying as that sea-chanty thing.  LOL

Otherwise- it's pretty good so far and despite the SecuRom- nothing seems to have blown up, fried, or exploded... yet....

Well, inquiring minds want to know...

Did your InSim work with FT???   LOL

(and another quick question- did you have any crashes or explosions because of the securom thing?)

Too bad EA won't send a Mr. Humble to our houses to deliver the NEEDED new computer to play the up-coming Sims 3, huh? LOL

If you go to a community lot you can now buy lots (about 5 I think) of new games to play on you "new" pc too.

I saw the same thing on my preview only it was really choppy so I can't say much about the "better graphics" part... but yes- love that SHOE thing. LOL
