ugh i'm getting sick of this. The problems with my game crashing started after a while i installed free time. i cleaned up my downloads a bit and it was okay for a while. but now it just crashes when i try to change some ones appearance. It crashes after I hit the check mark.

I removed my entire downloads file and it still happened. i don't know what to do.

any suggestions please??

Feeling a little desperate. lol
5  Simmers' Paradise / General Sims 2 Help / Yet another "HELP ME Freetime issues!" Thread on: March 08, 2008, 07:39:18 pm
Well I removed ALL of my downloads. Disabling it was not enough. Everything worked as it should.

I'm curious now to fix some BV problems I was having. My sims couldn't Hula or Slap Dance and the Medicine Man or Witch Doctor, whatever he is, couldn't give my sims the voodoo doll (Mr Mickles, fun name lol).

So now I'll spend a couple of hours most likely hunting down the culprit. Wish me luck lol!

:worship:Thanks for the suggestion.

I've got like 3 problems that I can't seem to fix. :smt120

1) Sometimes when My sims are talking or doing something they get reset, like they just stop get moved and are just standing there.

2) Every time they go to cook a meal they start, cook it and then just get reset and the meal disappears.

3) Again with the resetting, when they are using the sewing machine, after making one potholder, which is then placed in their inventory, they again get reset, but the chair is still "being used" so every time I want them to make another potholder I have to "moveobjects on" to delete the chair and get a new one.

I took out Inteen and Insim so I'm not sure what else to do. Since it's acting the same way without Insim anyway I might just put it back in.

*Anyone have any ideas?Huh?* THANKS

Just bought it. About to play. I'm excited but scared of the new annoying autonomous actions that come out with each EP. And the whole not up to date Insim or Inteen lol. Cheesy
8  Simmers' Paradise / General Sims 2 Help / SIms 2 won't run on: March 02, 2008, 03:10:53 pm
Thanks everyone for your advice. I tried most of it but I did just end up uninstalling and reinstalling. Thankfully everything seems to working fine now, except for a few errors with graphics that have always been present(I've learned to disregard them and how to temporarily fix them). Thanks once again. I really appreciate it. Smiley

12  Simmers' Paradise / General Sims 2 Help / SIms 2 won't run on: February 28, 2008, 06:52:52 pm
Okay well I click the icon and it won't run.

My computer is relatively new, I purchased it in July. So the video card's pretty good. Any one have any advice. It ran yesterday, but not today so I'm confused. I'm thinking as a last resort I might copy my "EA Games" folder to someplace else and then reinstall it. Though I have GBs of downloads so I'd prefer not to that so lol so any advice is truly appreciated.

Thanks!
13  Simmers' Paradise / General Sims 2 Help / OMG My Neighborhood Disappeared!! on: February 17, 2008, 04:55:19 pm
For serious no one has any idea of what to do???

Crap.
14  Simmers' Paradise / General Sims 2 Help / OMG My Neighborhood Disappeared!! on: February 17, 2008, 04:13:27 pm
:smt120 Ok so I loaded the Sims 2 and there was only one neighborhood displayed. I have two Neighborhoods, Veronaville & Midnight Acres. Midnight Acres is the one I play and I was just playing it last night. So I got on the comp today and downloaded some stuff then I ran my game to see the screen with just Veronaville. No Midnight Acres Sad !

I was in shock and thought it was some goof, so I restarted it and still no Midnight Acres. I closed it again and removed the downloads I had just installed and then ran it again. Still not there. I checked my Documents + the EA Games folder in Neighborhoods to see if it was still there cause usually when you delete a neighborhood it's gone from there. Well N005 was still there; every thing's there. So I ran it again still not on screen.

So I ran SimPE to see if I could open it there. I opened it but everything was unknown("UKN"). Ran it again still not there. I restarted my comp and ran it still not there.

Any one have any ideas cause I'm sort of devastated right now. :smt120
