Not rushing to pre-order TS3. Did with TS2 cos it was a massive improvement on TS1 or rather so it looked with the pre release videos/pics.
I don't like the look of the new sims, although the sims in TS2 ain't perfect, they look [at the mo] better than the new sims. Like the idea of a seamless neighbourhood. Like the idea of sims aging whilst you're playing others.
There's too many issues, securom, ingame advertising etc that makes me think no, ain't buying. Plus what's shown in the pre release vids/pics isn't always what you get in game. The more I read the more I'm thinking I'm not buying it. Plus like many others I've not played TS2 enough, have on going storylines etc.

Going to wait and see. I haven't played TS2 enough.
Anyway going on screen shots means nothing. There were wonderful screenshots for TS2 and the screenshots were nowhere near what the true content were.
Not too keen on the appearance of the sims in TS3 and from what I've read on possible custom content means its a definate case of 'wait and see'.

I wonder if the new too EA has released, virtual me is the fore-runner of the body shop for TS3. If it is, the characters are UGLY.
I like a lot of the ideas for TS3 but I'm not buying until they take out the bugs and there's some ability of customisation. I also read somewhere that there's going to be no life stages in TS3. If that's true I won't be buying it cos I like the being able to go from cradle to grave.
Agree there's so much that can be done with TS2. Next expansion pack is to be apartments....that I really like the idea of.
Anyway I haven't got my play out of TS2 yet

Already sorted a no cd crack. Its getting loaded on. I loved the look of Freetime as much as I loved the look of Seasons [and I love Seasons].
Securom must've been advertised wrong to EA cos the cracks are out quicker than they were for those who had Safedisk for security.
I tend to use no-cd cracks anyway. I've had 3 discs break and now prefer to not to use the disk in the drive.

Never bothered with H&M nor Vacation but have just ordered Freetime and after reading all this I'm in 2 minds whether or not to ship it straight back to Amazon unopened.
If this security feature is causing so many problems why don't all the simmers get together for an en-mass legal action for the damage caused to their computers by the software? That would force EA to change their minds about this feature.

Haven't bought the expansion as yet. I'm very undecided cos I absolutely detested Vacation. And reading these threads I'm going more on not buying it.
So truly is this just Vacation with updated graphics?
