I wanted to use this hair when I first saw it, but then I saw the coil -- what were they thinking?? Anyway, thank you SO much for removing it!

I downloaded Martin, and he's truly, truly GORGEOUS!! One problem, though -- he has "floating head" syndrome in the shower. Is there any way to fix this, please?? Like, is there a link to a showerproof mesh somewhere?

EDITED: Never mind, I found it. I thought I had all the HBB and SBB meshes, but apparently I didn't. It's the HBB-toes-nude meshes.rar file found here, for those who might need it.

All your sims are so beautiful -- I can't believe the level of talent that's gone into your creations!  So I've finally decided to swallow my nervousness and attempt to share mine. I've never done this before, so I hope I do it right. I'm a little worried that ImageShack is going to kick me off for going against their rules and editing the links so the pictures will show.

Anyway, all of these guys are favorites of mine, probably because they're all born-in-the-game, believe it or not. I know it's always a matter of opinion, but *I* think they're pretty hot!

So...Here's Rocque, who to me is probably the most beautiful male sim I've ever had appear in the game. He's a son of one of Engelchen's male Sims, Tristan, found on her site here.

And this is one of my new favorites, Kai. I like Kai because he's a bit unusual looking...kind of exotic, I think. He's also very mischievous -- LOVES to goose the girls! He's the only sim I've ever had who does that on his own, and it makes me laugh even though the girls don't always like it!

And this is one of my all-time favorites, Jaiden, with Kai again. Jaiden's been around a long time, because he's so pretty, I couldn't bear to see him age!




And here's Tucson -- he and his brother Taos (a redhead and not shown here)  are pretty much hard-core rock-and-roll and have just started their first year in college. I think he's pretty hot.

 

I have a lot more, but I had to draw the line somewhere! I wish I knew more what I was doing with posting images, but I think you get the picture, so to speak (as long as ImageShack doesn't pull the plug on them, that is!)

I just remembered this odd one today: One of my born-in-game sims went off to college, where I installed him in a dorm with nine others. I don't know how, but through his going off to class, some sort of glitch happened, and his character somehow ended up cloned. One of him was there at the dorm, the other was at class. When the second one returned from class, there were two of him, interacting with everyone, acting like there was nothing unusual happening.

Just for fun, I played it for a while, and believe it or not, he took an instant liking to himself. So I had him flirt...and next thing I know, there he was, making out with himself! It was the weirdest thing -- like he was carrying on a romantic relationship with a mirror or something. I finally got bored with it and exited without saving because I didn't want that kind of error in my game, and when I went back in, there was only one of him, thank goodness.

It was the weirdest thing, though! Talk about being in love with yourself! :-P

No, no camera hack ever. I hadn't done anything new to the game before this happened --but I had noticed that the camera view was higher than it should be and I couldn't seem to get it back down to normal, even using the mouse wheel. Now, as I said, I can't use it at all.

I think what I'll probably have to end up doing is extracting all the sims I really like with SimPE and then starting all over. It kills me to think of losing my beloved neighborhood that I've been building for almost a year now, but I don't know what else to do.

I'll check that, thanks. It seems to be getting worse, since now I can't make the camera level out anymore by using the middle mouse button. I'm afraid my neighborhood's so big and so full of errors at this point that everything's starting to go.

I don't understand why they'd make the game so that you can't get permanently rid of the sims you don't want so they don't clog up your game. This way, the neighborhood keeps growing and growing until there's no more place for it to go. Makes no sense to me.

I'm having a weird problem and I've done numerous searches but can't find any solution. My in-game camera has suddenly gone wonky in that when I click on the arrows to change the view, the camera actually tracks in the opposite direction.

It's very disorienting because I'm clicking to go left, and the camera turns right, and so on. It just started happening, and I can't figure out why. I've also had trouble recently in that the view seems to be too high; for example, I can't see my sims' thought bubbles unless I zoom way out.

I have to admit that I've always had a bit of trouble controlling the camera, but this is really, really frustrating.

I love all these stories! I'm always really excited when one of my Sims does something new that I've never seen before. Free will is great for that reason.

The most surprising -- and strangest -- thing I ever experienced with the game happened one night when I was playing my all-time favorite Sim Jason. Jason was born in the game, and was a teen at the time, I think. He was just sitting there at the dining room table alone for some reason, and because I'd just downloaded the mesh shirt he was wearing, I zoomed up close to see the detail on the neckline because I was impressed with the way it looked.

Anyway, I zoomed up close, looked at it, and then pulled the camera back -- and when I did, I swear, he looked directly at me and LAUGHED.

It was the weirdest thing, because he has these really great eyes, so expressive and almost knowing, if you know what I mean, that for a moment, no kidding, I forgot he was a Sim. I've never had it happen again, but let me tell you...it was a bit...creepy. I was all by myself when it happened, and I thought maybe I'd fallen asleep and imagined it. But I didn't. I can't imagine how they programmed THAT one!

I downloaded her so long ago that I really don't remember where she came from, and I've looked at all my usual places and don't see her anywhere. I thought maybe I could re-download her, but that's not going to happen if I can't find her.

I'm really frustrated right now, because I have a downloaded female character whose skin I can't change in either CAS or BodyShop without the application crashing. She's a very generic looking Young Adult, and I can get her looking really beautiful if I change her skin, but as soon as I click to confirm in either program, I get an instant "This application has crashed" notification. I've tried various skins, and all of them crash, so it's not a problem with any particular skin, either.

Has anyone ever had that problem? I tried cloning her without changing skins, and it worked, so it's definitely the skin changing that's causing the problem.

It's heartbreaking because she's SO pretty, and I just can't get it to work.

I have the same problem with BodyShop, and the only thing I've found is that if my neighborhood is too big, Bodyshop won't work. So when I want to work with the program, I pull out my current neighborhood and put in a saved version of an older one that's a lot smaller.

It's pretty tricky when I want to clone one of my born-in-game sims, because I have to first use SimPE to extract them, then remove the neighborhood and replace it with the other one so I can complete the cloning process.

I don't understand why it matters, but the size of the neighborhood file seems to be a problem. For me, anyway.

I've been to your thread and I'm so impressed!! Your sims are absolutely beautiful -- thank you SO much for being so generous and uploading a few of them for us!

I guess I'm wondering why some smart, enterprising person or group of people doesn't come up with a game that can compete with The Sims series, one that addresses all the issues and problems and specifically not only allows for, but encourages, custom content from the playing community. One that is even better than The Sims all around, in content and in execution. There must be some way of dodging the trademark aspect -- after all, you see copycat concepts all the time in big business.

The thing is, I don't think EA will ever work on their quality control issues unless they're forced into it by either a drop in profits for some reason, or by some challenging competition. Big corporations like that are very short-sighted from what I've seen...money is everything, and to hell with their consumers. A very, very stupid modus operadi in the long run, IMO.
