Found it--thanks a ton!  Rock
2  The Sims 3 / Sims 3 Help / Re: Selling/Storing more than one item at a time in the inventory on: June 04, 2009, 12:46:14 pm
I was just about to post that I found this somewhere:

"Look at the top left of the item box, you'll see a little triangle in the corner. Hover your cursor over it and the tooltips should say multiple pickup or something. Drag them using that corner, and you move the whole stack."

However, I'm not seeing the triangle in the corner.   huh

Edit:  Does it require a certain type of container?

Am I the only one encountering this issue?:

You go to the Supermarket and buy a bunch of groceries..you have like stacks of the same item, or you grow them in your garden.  The time comes for you to put them in your refrigerator and you have to move ONE at a time.  I read and re-read the manual and see nothing about this.  Perhaps I am missing something and someone can shed some light on this?

Yeah, I was looking at the manual too and it's a bit vague in that sense.

eciPretzel's solution would be perfect, except the other Sims in town won't age.  Oh well, I'm sure something will pop up eventually.

That's not true.  A Sim will age when they meet the number of days required to age, birthday party or not. Sad

One thing about the pudgy faces that I noticed..

It's the young adults that seem to have fat faces.  When my character matured into an adult, his face was much more normal looking.  I don't know if you guys are using the young adult models or not (the game default is at young adult when you make a new Sim).

According to various sites on the net, most of the cheats still work..you don't use boolProp anymore, though.. I think it's just testingcheatsenabled true or something to that effect.  The aging one, of course, doesn't because you can turn off aging in the Game Options (although I would LOVE to find a cheat to manipulate (read: disable) aging for ONE sim only).

It has it's positives and negatives.  My biggest beefs are A) Your Sim just disappearing into a building when they go to a community lot (at least most lots work this way.  I'm aware of one other outside of the beach, parks and graveyards) and B) After like 11pm, NO ONE is outside.  I don't know if Sims 2 was like this prior to Nightlife, as I didn't play it before that expansion was released.  It's rather irksome though, especially if your Sim has a job that gets off late (like the music career jobs).

I really love the idea of being able to visit different lots (residential and community), that's huge for me.  I also like the traits and the (seemingly) improved AI.

If anyone out there just got the game and is debating trying the free town they give you, Riverview..DON'T DO IT.  It's terrible.  Use Sunset Valley instead.

I hope we see some changes or an expansion pack soon.

So a few hours after bumbling around with my new shiny, I have decided to re-create my favorite Sim character of all time but have encountered one teeny-weeny problem:  I want my Sims to age, but I want to disable aging (at times) for my one favorite Sim.  I know you can turn off aging in the options, but I want the town and other Sims in the household to age on, just not this one particular Sim.  I'd even be happy with something to extend his adult (not elder, which is what I think the life fruit does) life.  Anyone know what I can do, if anything?  Thanks in advance!
9  Resident Creators / Mod Requests / No autonomous waking the sleeping baby..revisited? on: December 20, 2008, 06:11:16 pm
I remember a long time ago (well over a year ago) that I had downloaded a mod to stop sims from autonomously walking over to a sleeping baby/toddler's crib and picking them up to do whatever while the baby/toddler was sleeping.  Recently, one of my sims hired a butler and he has this extremely annoying habit of lifting the toddler sim out of her crib while she's trying to sleep.  I've looked around and have not had any luck finding this mod.  Hopefully someone out there knows what I'm talking about and can point me in the right direction...if not, I humbly request a mod like this be made because it's one of the more annoying things in the game.

Gonna try that now.  Thanks a ton!

It seems Mary-Sue Pleasant died. (I don't know where she died) I can't find her grave, and I can't resurrect her with the Resurrect-o-tron.  I use the Summoner and it makes her appear but then it says she died on another lot.  Is there some way I can get her back?

Will try that now.  Thanks a ton Smiley
13  Simmers' Paradise / General Sims 2 Help / Need help with making a basement. on: August 31, 2007, 11:52:57 am
I've found some guides that show you how to make a basement when building a house.  They tell you to lay a foundation, then to hole out the center section, leaving a one tile border, then lower the terrain (using a wall covering with a bottom border as a guide.)  My problem is I do this, but it won't allow me to use the top of the foundation as a floor. I can only lay tile around the perimeter of the foundation, but not on top of the whole thing.  It places the place where I'd put the flooring a story higher.  Any Sim-architects out there willing to help me out?  I'd love to get this done.
14  Simmers' Paradise / General Sims 2 Help / Collection Sorting..Help Please ;_; on: August 24, 2007, 09:37:45 am
Being that I hate a lot of the Maxis stuff in the game but love the recolors and custom content people come up with, I tend to download a lot of room sets, you know, bedroom sets, bathroom sets, etc.

My problem is finding them in the game.  I know they are there, but trying to find some of them is like trying to find a needle in a haystack.  I know of Delphi's download organiser to sort my downloads folder which I have and use, and I know of a program called Sims 2 Collection Creator which is spiffy if everything is a mesh.  If the items are recolors though, they won't show up in that program.

I admit to being pretty naive about the more intricate areas of the game.  If someone could advise me on setting up collections that doesn't make me have to sort through every stitch of maxis content I have, I'd be grateful.  If there's no way to do what I'm trying to do (other than if it's a mesh to begin with), if someone could let me know that, I'd be happy.  As always, thanks in advance!

Ahh, alright then, that should make life a lot easier if it will let me select the mesh outside the game.  Thanks again Smiley
