so recently i had to do a funky computer format, due to a virus.
and while it kept all my data files, my programs were erased. no big deal!

well, its been a month or so now and with the Sims 3 coming out, ive been a bit more excited to play the sims 2.
i have to reinstall all the discs, no biggie and i feel now that i wanna start from scratch.

but heres the problem, ive had the Sims 2 since it first came out, along with that all the expansion packs (minus a few Stuff packs) and quite frankly, i organize my custom content like a dead duck :/...

all my content is seperated in folders like 'Housing' 'Cosmetics' 'Clothes' 'Furniture'
and in those folders, their seperated by Expansion Packs. and not 'Meshes' etc.

so its quite possible, ive downed a new hair (for example) but ive had the mesh since ive had Nightlife ya'know?

can someone advise me on how to fix this situation? i really don't want to add any old stuff.
and ive got Delphy's CC organizer program but i don't think that'll help very much.

Should i just start completely from scratch or take the time to sort out my downloads?
what would u do in this situation or what DID you do in this situation?

i know today is the first day it came out [here in america] but i was jus seein if anyone else got it.

i plan on gettin it friday on payday, just so i can say i have all the Sims 2 Expansion Packs [i was never really fond of the Stuff packs] but i must say Apartment life seems very interesting to me.

it kinda sucks tho cuz if im correct, i read rumors that some hacks and mods wouldn't be updated this time around and sometimes it sucks gettin a new EP when it first comes out cuz there are literally no hacks or anythin for it.

so yes. i guess this is a little discussion thread

but my main question, is.
When you do Screenshots, do you use the camera system in the Sims 2 or do you print screen and resize and photoshop and whatnot?

because i wanted to introduce some of my characters and such created in the sims but i think the pictures i take using the camera in the game come out to small unless im looking at the wrong folder. but regardless they aren't as big as everyone elses on here.

i just need some suggestions is all.

i don't know, i have my moments were im not interested in the sims (as far as playing it goes. i do keep myself updated on the information) after a while because of my other interests but now i think im back for another while longer!

i already know about the Sims 3 stuff, i was around for that and i saw the new E3 trailer.

i havn't boughten the new Stuff packs because i don't..think i need anymore bathroom or furniture. well to pay for anyways.

so, lets see. im more of an urban style person. so could anyone tell me some new meshes that came out? or anyone want to advertise their house or new clothes or hair to me or something?

anyways, yes i do believe that killing them is the best way. when i had InSIM for bonvoyage i'd just make em commit suicide...it can be fun watching a sim burn to death or somethin, expecially if you don't like them

I haveeeee no idea why all of a sudden im getting Oject Errors all of a sudden, ive taken out old hacks (since theres no FT version of InTeen or InSim) and any recent objects and default replacements ive added. (note this problem just started occuring last night)

and when i restart my game, go into debug mode. i still get object errors.

the one thing i fear that it maybe the House i just recently moved my sims into, which was a custom house that i downloaded. but im not sure. the problem didn't flare up UNTIL i moved into the house but what could be wrong with it?

my sims can't change clothes, can't play Ps3, can't get on the computer. nothing, it always pops up with a Object Error. and stuff on MTS2 isn't helping me any X___x; uggh. Help? Anybody?

ok i also know how to enter the food contest, special lot or community lot yah.

but is it the same for all other contests? my sim wants to win a video game competition and i swore i saw it as an option on his computer onetime but now i can't seem to get it. i honestly can't remember if it was on a community lot or not.. so like yea,

so thats pretty much my question, How do you enter a video game competition?

oh! i got one.

so i create my sims based on the characters that me and my friends create right? ok so, i usually play this one family of characters. the single mom, her 2 teenage kids and her grown son (roughly around 22/23) and their cousin who moved in with them whose the same age as the oldest son. so anyways. the cousin and oldest son, despite the fact that their aspirations are Popular and Pleasure. they are the most permiscious men in the town. it seems like every female friend they meet, they want to woohoo. and by all these females coming to the house, the teen son, meets them and the same thing happens.

so oneday, the cousin throws a party. and here comes Kat (i have Pets. so theres a townie thats single with 3 cats) and when Kat comes in. FOR SOME ODD REASON. everyone is attracted to her. they want to talk to her, when i leave them alone. they walk over to her. it got on my nerves to the point where i had to ask her to leave. o___o; the crazy cat lady was the life of the party. so after the party. all the guys in the house wanted to do was talk/chat/play/flirt/date with Kat. so about a week later, when i finally got their minds and wants off Kat. i threw another party. sure enough Kat showed up. but this time, not ONLY did the guys run to greet her. THE GIRLS OF THE PARTY DID TOO!

so the mother had to deal with 2 sexually active teens (one being a girl) and 2 sexually active young adults. i play another house of characters that i have, which is a grandmother with her adult grandson and her teen sister. the grandson goes to get the paper because its his day off of work and Kat walks by. stops. does what all the other townies do. and the grandson drops the paper and goes to greet her. they talk. and after a while (take note: im not paying attention to him,im tending to the grandma) when i do notice, him and kat have talked up enough to be BFFs! O____o;

shortly after. like all the other male sims, he wants to talk/date/flirt with her. well i alternated between both houses and it came to the point where...well...Kat woohoo'd with all of them (minus the women)...and.......i decided to investigate. so i play her house, with her 3 cats...and it turns out..........she got pregnant.

NOW IM STUCK BECAUSE I HONESTLY HAVE NO IDEA WHO THE DADDY IS BECAUSE IT WAS A SILENT PREGNANCY!! SHES FALLEN IN LOVE WITH 5 MEN (plus Don) AND SHES WOOHOOD THEM ALL CEPT DON!

i never knew a single cat lady would be so popular o.o;; geezus. for that kind of attention i may go buy me some cats!

oh no no! i wasn't saying i was having problems with his 'stuff' i ment that it was the only thing floating alone with his head. i think the problem is solved now, when i deleted my download folder before installing FT (because i had wayyy to much CC) i must've forgotten to put the body builder mesh back in. but im not sure, i havn't tired the game.

ok so, i got Freetime the night it came out (i was in wal-mart *joy*) and i created a family, yes.

but one sim in my family, everytime he takes a shower, his body disappears and all thats left is a floating head, his jewlery and his off colored junk (becuz i can't seem to get to the options to change it to match his skintone)

but ive notice, its only when he takes a shower/naked. his body shows up fine when his in his underwear and clothing. but when it comes to bein naked his just a floating head and peen. how do i fix this?

and if i have to, how do i change skin tones in SimsPE? i know there was a topic on it but i can't seem to find it
