1  Simmers' Paradise / Apartment Life Help / Re: Write novel crashes game on: January 05, 2009, 10:26:39 am
I had problems with writing novels when using an old version of the write novel fast mod.
And some mods that modify the term paper writing can also break the novel writing.

Good luck !
2  Simmers' Paradise / Apartment Life Help / 1. CLP Errors - 2. Buy/Build Problems on: November 01, 2008, 11:20:52 am
About your second problem, seems that the game doesn't recognize the apartment you choose as one anymore but as a communal area.

Maybe when you used the code and modified your apartment you added or removed a door, fence wall etc and now it's not a "proper" apartment anymore?

If you added a garage or heliport make sure it's not connected to more than one apartment or to a communal area, that it is enclosed by fences or walls (even the driveway on the sides). And if it's not on the same level than your apartment it has to be connected by stairs and not an elevator.

Hope this will help !
3  Simmers' Paradise / FreeTime Help / Problem getting member cards on: October 31, 2008, 03:19:15 pm
Hi,

I noticed recently that i have a problem getting the hobby's member cards.
I have the proper hobby level or more but i don't get the card. Sometimes i get it 2 sims days later and sometimes never.

I have all the add-ons and kits and all are patched.
I have a lot of mods too but there isn't any conflict, at least none that the conflict hack detector notices.

Did someone already have that problem ?
If it's one of my mods, well it's the only problem i noticed so i would like to keep it and just add the card with a hack or cheat code. Does someone know one ?

Thanks for your help

Great !

I'll try that tomorrow, i prefer the EA cheat code rather than another hack. I already have a lot and if one day i have a bug it'll be a real nightmare to find he guilty one Sad

so thanks a lot rebecah ! :-P

Be careful i had that hack and when i installed BV the hack still worked but i had a lot of problems and bugs. After a while trying to find the guilty download i discovered it was that one.

I dont remember exactly wat kind of bugs but it was a lot of big ones. I couldn't play anymore.

So better use a "test family" and not yours if you want to try anyway.

Hey

I had the same problem than you, and it seems that i found an answer that will work with every EP as long as you have Pets installed

what means :

Increase the maximum number of controlable beeings

for every living beeing  : uintProp maxTotalSims x
Only for Sims : uintProp maxTotalHumans y
Only for Pets : uintProp maxTotalPets z

this codes are to be put in the  userstartup.cheat. file

x : number of controlable beeings
y : number of controlable Sims
z : number of controlable Pets

Warning ! avoid to use that kind of writings y + z < x

This code doesn't work with every PC configuration. Use it at your own risk.

I'll try it next time and let you know if it's still works with FT Smiley
7  Simmers' Paradise / General Sims 2 Help / Game crashes on my new computer on: July 12, 2007, 12:42:20 pm
After 3 hours looking on every technical forum i could fin , i have the solution Cheesy
In fact the driver works fine, but the old driver has to be removed wih an apropriate tool and not just with the windows installer.

I'm playing since 15 min and no crash ! Of course maybe i'm too optimistic, but before the max i could stay in the game was 5 minutes.

After a lot of tries and two extremly useless answers from the french EA Helpdesk i think i found the solution here:
http://bbs.thesims2.ea.com/community/bbs/messages.php?threadID=06c442234ffa7adb4557aaac3804ab89&directoryID=21&startRow=1&openItemID=item.21,item.61,item.41,item.127,item.23

Seemes that the problems is very well known since at least 2 years with the GeForce graphic cards .
And Nvidia endly found the solution Cheesy

I'll try with that beta driver and let you know if it works as soon as i can

By the way my computer crashes too with Oblivion. But i could play one or two hours before crashing.
But then i remembered that it use to happend too with my old GeForce 6800 GT graphic card.

So i hope that driver will solve both problems Wink

Very good idea !
i'll try with oblivion. This one is quite sensitive too Cheesy

If it works properly i guess it's a compatibility problem with my mothercard
maybe ea games didn't try with it so they still dont know ...

anyway i'll post the solution when i'll know it.

thanks again for everybody's help !

12  Simmers' Paradise / General Sims 2 Help / Game crashes on my new computer on: July 11, 2007, 10:54:21 am
yes i tried with all the neighboroods and i have the same problem
and the seasons are created, pets too, no problem at all with that.

I'll try without entering in any neighborood, just to see what happends. But if it works it wont be very helpfull to play ^^
13  Simmers' Paradise / General Sims 2 Help / Game crashes on my new computer on: July 11, 2007, 10:45:33 am
I went there and there's nothing about my graphic card , they only say about Geforce 7400 or 7500 i dont remember

I posted a question to the support , saying exactly what i said in my post.
And they answered : ensure that your graphic card and sound card drivers are up to date ......

i'm not sure they even read my message. that's the first thing i wrote ...
14  Simmers' Paradise / General Sims 2 Help / Game crashes on my new computer on: July 11, 2007, 10:33:22 am

15  Simmers' Paradise / General Sims 2 Help / Game crashes on my new computer on: July 11, 2007, 10:22:23 am
