I'm sure if she was browsing this forum and stumbled across this, she'd have a serious freaked out moment. Tongue It's wonderfully realistic. Cheesy I recognised her before I saw the name, and I don't even know her face that well!
3  Sims 2 Community Downloads / Custom Objects & Recolors / Aperture Science Weighted Companion Cube on: November 24, 2007, 07:14:52 am
Yaaaay!!! I almost cried when I had to euthanise my cube. Sad This will make up for it nicely. Cheesy *glomps*
4  Sims 2 Community Downloads / Walls, Floors & Murals / 6 Walls from the Portal game on: November 09, 2007, 12:35:37 pm
Yay! They're beautiful!

Make me a weighted companion cube, and I'll love you forever. Tongue I already have a card one about two inches across on each side sitting on top of my computer. Tongue Having one for my sims would be about as wonderfully geeky as I could stand. Cheesy

Thank you both. Smiley I'm not sure what the PJSE thing is, so I shall try the other thing, but thank you for your time to answer my question, both of you. Smiley Right, let's see if I can actually get more than a few steps in this time! Cheesy Yay!

*is stupidly excited as I have no homework due tomorrow, so I have all evening to play with sims stuff* Tongue
7  Simmers' Paradise / Content Creation & Recoloring Help / Oh, fiddlesticks... SimsPe help? on: September 10, 2007, 11:26:23 am
Okay, so I'm still following one of the tutorials here, and I'm now here:

Quote

7. Open Sims04 and export the GMND file that corresponds in name with the GMDC file you exported.

Only, when I opened Sims04, and found the right file, there was no sign whatsoever of the export button, which had been nice and obvious for the previous step, and I've searched pretty much every clickable thing in sight, and can't find anything that might work.

Any help? I would be eternally grateful... *sighs*

I'm not normally such a n00b... :sad3:

One day I am sure I will be able to make a mesh! Theoretically I can't keep being put off it forever, can I?

Oooh, thanks! Cheesy I am forever in your debt, or something. Cheesy
9  Simmers' Paradise / Content Creation & Recoloring Help / Direct X? on: September 10, 2007, 04:48:52 am
There wasn't a URL when I got the message. Sad I know, because I clicked on things several times, just to make sure. Tongue I think I've just about memorised the error message. Sad
10  Simmers' Paradise / Content Creation & Recoloring Help / Direct X? on: September 09, 2007, 05:50:34 pm
Okay, I am completely new at editing meshes for the Sims (although I have used Milkshape before, but that's beside the point)... Anyway, I was following one of the lovely tutorials here (This One) as a good starting point, and I got to step 6 or so, where you find the mesh you need (I think), and when I tried to open it, I got a big angry warning yelling at me, saying, "WARNING: You need to install MANAGED DirectX!!!"

*well, maybe without the exclamation marks, but the capitaliation is all true to word*

Anyway. That is where I am stuck...

Anyone else have this problem? Or, better, know what I can do about it?

*looks hopefully around*

Thanks. Smiley

(Man, this bit of the forum is so near the bottom it's a wonder anyone might come down here. Maybe they're lost when they do? Tongue)
