856  Simmers' Paradise / Sims Stories / The Sundial on: September 18, 2007, 09:18:48 pm
You're off to a great start.  Your pictures are very classy.  Interesting storyline - I didn't find it offensive at all.  I hope you can get your computer issues worked out so you can continue.  It sucks to be held up for something like that.
857  Simmers' Paradise / Sims Stories / Elijah Adonis-The Legacy on: September 18, 2007, 06:53:17 pm
I've never tried the Legacy Challenge before, but I've done the Apocalypse Challenge, which is similar.  I always thought the Legacy sounded kind of boring and I would get burned out.  But starting out with a dark elf certainly puts a different spin on things, doesn't it?  Your pictures are crisp and clear.

I'm liking this quite a bit so far.  Nice storytelling and pretty pictures to go with it.  I look forward to seeing where it goes next.
859  Simmers' Paradise / Sims Stories / The Feeders chpt6 part 2 on: September 18, 2007, 02:32:49 pm
Maybe, but the ones who are reading it are enjoying it.  Please continue.  I haven't had that many readers, yet, either.

Whoa!  Now that's what I call an update.  I can't wait to see what happens next.  That lady crawling on her belly was creeepy.  Poor Ilina.  She's just a victim.  We both have Tims in our stories, and I have a character whose name is similar to Ilina.  Well, it starts with an 'I' anyway.  I love the effect you do with your pictures.  That must take forever to do every single one.
861  Simmers' Paradise / Sims Stories / Between the Light and the Darknes - *~Chapter 30~* on: September 17, 2007, 11:06:14 am
Wow!  Thanks, guys!  Since you like it, I'll try to get part 2 up by the end of the week.  Thanks for your compliments! Smiley
862  Simmers' Paradise / Sims Stories / The Feeders chpt6 part 2 on: September 15, 2007, 06:52:57 pm
Nice!  I love the freaky dream sequence.  Great effect with the pictures.  Can't wait to read more!
863  Simmers' Paradise / Sims Stories / All My Pixels----update 9/22 on: September 15, 2007, 03:18:04 pm
How neat!  You've managed to cover just about everyone with an interesting story.  Mary-Sue as a Plantsim, wow.  And they all look great with their makeovers.  You also have some nice pictures, particularly, the one of Nina in the bubblebath.
864  Simmers' Paradise / Sims Stories / **The Tragedy of Lilith B. Pleasant** ~ Updated 6/12 - Chapter Two: Part Six on: September 15, 2007, 03:11:34 pm
I like this!  You really put a lot of work into the lives of these sims.  It almost makes me want to go back and play them.  But I ended up moving Daniel, scum that he was, and Mary Sue out and then deleting them (oops!).  The twins have grown and started their own lives, but managed to mend their relationship first.

You really had me hating this family, lol.  I wanted to reach through my moniter and strangle the Pleasants - poor Lillith.  I feel so bad for her!  I sure hope she and her renegade boyfriend can have a good (legal!) life together.
865  Simmers' Paradise / Sims Stories / Meeting Alaska on: September 15, 2007, 03:06:34 pm
I like the beginnings of this story so far.  I'll be looking forward to an update to see how Alaska's life turns out now that she's free.  So yeah, I think you should definitely continue. Wink
866  Simmers' Paradise / Sims Stories / Between the Light and the Darknes ~~~Chapter 34 - The End~~~ on: September 15, 2007, 01:54:37 pm
Okay, I'm really nervous.  This is my first story here, and I'm hoping people will like it.  I have my own webpage, but would like to have a bit more exposure.  I'm a novice both at storytelling and picture taking, but I'm learning.  Please feel free to critique, good or bad, but if it's bad, please say so nicely.  I have a fragile ego and bruise easily. Wink

What would you do if reality as you knew it ceased to exist?  If you were suddenly plunged into a realm populated with strange beings?  A realm where there was a struggle between good and evil; light and darkness?  Can't happen, you say?  Tim Mitchell would have to disagree with you.

Between the Light and the Darkness - Chapter 1

The smell of frying ham and eggs filled Tim's small apartment, waking him from his bear-like slumber. His stomach growled fiercly, reminding him it had been hours since his last meal.

Rising from his bed, he ambled towards the stairs, taking a few minutes to give his stocky Mastiff a rub on the tummy.

"Morning, Bones,". The big dog lay there, tongue lolling out of his mouth.

"Why don't you bring yourself back a girlfriend?" Gertie called from the kitchen.

Bones cocked his head to the side, righted himself, and galloped down the stairs into the kitchen. Apparently, he thought he was going to get some scraps. Knowing Gertie, Bones would be making out like a bandit.

Tim peered over Gertie's shoulder. The sight of sizzling ham made his mouth water.

"But Gertie, you know you're the only woman for me," Tim said with a wink.

"You don't go out enough. Young boy like you should be getting tons of dates. You spend too much time working and cooping yourself up in this tiny apartment."

"I go on plenty of dates. In fact I had one just last, uh, last..."

"Last year, Timothy."

Tim groaned. He hated it when she used his full name.

"Okay, so maybe it's been awhile, but so many of the women I meet are so phoney. 'Oh, Tim, are my nails okay? Does my hair look alright? Does this dress make me look fat?' "

Gertie couldn't help but laugh. "Timmy, my boy, you are such a fool."

"I know, but you love me anyway, don't you?" He said, snatching a piece of ham right out of the skillet.

"You betcha," she said, slapping his hand away and setting the table. Tim didn't know what he would ever do without her. She was employed as his housekeeper, but she also acted as a best friend and mother to him.

"I would just like a girl with some depth. One with hopes and dreams and...a personality."

"It's slim pickin's out there, Timmy, maybe you shouldn't be so picky."

"Why Timothy Mitchell! You're going to tie your stomach in knots eating like that."

Tim stood, grabbing his car keys.

"Goodbye, Gertie. Don't spoil that dog too much."

"Oh, I won't. Would Bonesy Wonsey like some yummy steak scraps? Would he?"

Bones barked excitedly and wagged his tail so fast it became a blur.

"Did someone mention steak?" Tim drooled at the thought.

"Yes, sir."

"Gertie, you're too good to me."

"Goodbye, Timmy. And don't forget to bring yourself home a girlfriend."

"You said that already."

"Some things bear repeating, dear."

Tim arrived home absolutely ravenous. Of course, working in construction and Gertie's home cooking always did that to him.

He decided to take Bones out for a jog while Gertie put the finishing touches on dinner.

He stepped off the corner of 12th and Main...

...into another world.

I like the way this starts and am interested to see where you will take it.
868  Simmers' Paradise / Sims Stories / The Feeders chpt6 part 2 on: September 15, 2007, 12:43:41 am
Oooh.  I'm definitely loving this one, already.  I love the grainy-cartoony effect of the pictures.  The third shot, of Ilina by herself, is especially pretty.  I like your writing style, also.  The way she keeps thinking back to 'before', and how she has a past with some mental problems, captures my interest.  I'm looking forward to reading more.
869  Sims 2 Community Downloads / Sim Hunks / Gourgeous Twins: Marco & Vinnie on: September 10, 2007, 12:22:16 pm
Marco is sooo droolable.  On another forum we were thinking about starting an Adopt a Family project.  I created our very first family using Marco, but I'll direct everyone here to download him.  I just couldn't resist that pretty face.  I made a photo collage with him for this project.  Please let me know if this is not okay.

Here's the background:

Rachel had the perfect marriage. She and her new husband Bill bought a big house in the country to share their dream together - to fill it up with children.

But when their first born child was just learning to crawl, Bill took off in the middle of the night, saying he wasn't ready to be a father after all.

Strapped for money, Rachel did the only thing she could think of, and rented out part of the house so she could stay home with Joshua through his babyhood.

That's when she met Robby Sanderson. Rachel swore she would never date again; in fact, didn't even want to look at another man again. But she finds herself drawn to him, and thinks about him often. But as she's drawn to him, so is she repelled by his childish nature. He seems to want to spend all his free time playing, and Rachel needs a man that can step up to the plate and help her fulfill her dreams. Can Robby ever be that man? Should Rachel look the other way and forget about men for awhile? You decide!

(I hope I'm not boring you to death!)
