1  The Sims 3 / Sims 3 Buzz / Re: The Sims 3 (In Comparison) on: February 02, 2009, 05:20:13 pm
I've played Oblivion, but not all the way through. A bug stopped me from finishing the game. I'll tell you one major difference with sims vs any RPG I've ever played. Housing. In Oblivion, you can buy several houses, a pay to furnish them. But that's all. You can't built a castle from the foundation up, you can't decide what house will look like as well. And yes, you can create the character you run, but only that one character. Other games like Fable you can buy houses, grow older and get married, but the character interaction is extemely limited, as is your choices for homes and mates. Plus no children. The only thing I'd love to see with Sims, would be an RPG fantasy setting, so your Sim can go out on quests, fight monsters (like in spore) and still have total freedom as to creating homes and characters.
2  The Sims 3 / Sims 3 Buzz / Re: Who's going to get the The Sims 3? on: February 02, 2009, 05:08:45 pm
I've got it on preorder, but I doubt I'll give up on Sims 2 any time soon.
3  Simmers' Paradise / General Sims 2 Discussion / What would you do if you woke up inside The Sims 2?! on: September 19, 2007, 06:50:45 pm
As long as I can have my insimenator and motherlode, I'd be doing ok.
4  Simmers' Paradise / General Sims 2 Discussion / The Sims 2 Teen Style Stuff Pack rant on: September 19, 2007, 06:41:30 pm
My only complaint with the new pack, is I never run teens. I immediately send them to college.

That's a good one too Xozsitei. I'd love more Variation in height and weight.

Sims is the only non FRP game that I play, so I guess my ultimate game would be where you can fight monsters and cast spells, but still get to build home or castle, get married and have kids.
7  Simmers' Paradise / General Sims 2 Discussion / seasons, pets, or bon voyage? on: September 19, 2007, 04:24:03 pm
I buy them all so perhaps I'm the last one to ask, but I've been having more fun with bon voyage.
8  Simmers' Paradise / General Sims 2 Discussion / Sims 3? on: September 19, 2007, 04:20:33 pm
Considering the difference between sims 1 and 2, 3 would have to be really something in order for me to switch over to it. Does anyone still play sims 1 any more? The characters all look so puny in Comparison.
9  Simmers' Paradise / General Sims 2 Discussion / What do YOU think of BV? on: September 19, 2007, 03:51:23 pm
I managed to get 44 out of 45 of the momentos, the only one I had trouble with was the pirate song. Ironically, once one person learned it, nearly all my characters on townies keep singing the blasted thing. Another funny thing, my God daughter and I spent hours trying to find the treasure chest for her sim, but another of my characters found two in just under five minutes. Still, loving the game.
10  Simmers' Paradise / General Sims 2 Discussion / BESIDES the 3 destination spots? on: September 19, 2007, 03:38:51 pm
So far, I've found this to be my favorite of all the expansion packs. I love the Ninja traveling, as well as collecting the 45 mementos.
