1  Simmers' Paradise / General Sims 2 Discussion / My Sims 2 Diary on: June 17, 2008, 09:26:10 pm
Since I don't feel that I would keep updated enough for people to actually post my "stories" at forums and such I started a Sims 2 Diary at opendiary.com since I'm there for my real diary anyway (seperate btw lol). If anyone wants to check it out find it here:

http://www.opendiary.com/entrylist.asp?authorcode=D753171

Right now I'm just doing run downs of all my favourite families (24 all together but only 5 posted... will be five tomorrow anyway) and then I'll be moving more to the meat of stories for all of them. I also make sure to provide links to all the custom content I use in any of my pictures Smiley You can leave comments if you like or not... be nice! hehe.
2  Simmers' Paradise / General Sims 2 Discussion / Please Help (FT Patch) on: May 29, 2008, 05:52:48 pm
So the new FT patch was released today. I was SO happy it fixed things from like 3 years ago. BUT apparently it comes with an update for SecuROM. If you have emulation software then you are screwed. I cannot play my game and EA is giving me the run around right now and I'm really upset. I cannot play my game at all. I spent almost 300 dollars on all the EPs and SPs. Does anyone know of a work around so I can use it? When I try to play the game it says "Conflict with emulation software detected" and then will not play the game. *cries*
3  Simmers' Paradise / General Sims 2 Help / Pictures on: March 13, 2008, 12:01:30 pm
I'm wondering if anyone knows how I can take snap shots from one neighborhood folder to another. I've tried just cutting and pasting but that doesn't work. I've been trying to figure out the sequences so I can rename the files but they seem random.

Here's an example: snapshot_00000001_2de303e4 then the next one is: snapshot_6dae6a73_b4e53386. Like I said pretty random.

See I've used SimPE to extract the appearances of all my fav sims from every neighborhood (Pleasantview, Riverblossom and Veronaville, don't like the Strangetown or Desiderata characters hehe).

I put them all in one (custom) neighborhood but the thing is the "story" for the neighborhood (and families) would be better if I had the original pictures from the hoods they came from. I know I could take new pics but I like the ones that came with the game . Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated, I'm out of ideas lol.
4  Simmers' Paradise / FreeTime Help / Cars and Driveways broken in FT on: March 03, 2008, 06:26:17 pm
This glitch ranks up there with the game tips one. No hacks and no custom content, completely vanilla game because at first I assumed this was a hack conflict. Its not. Not impressed. I can't use the main drive way to keep my cars, only the extension. If I put a car on the main dw piece they can't get in the car.

If its more than one sim, one gets in, the other can't but then the one that got in can't get out, I have to sell the car. What the heck? Way to go EAxis, really great programming you got there. I have no idea how to fix this. Having a drive way and and extension is no feasible on my smaller lots. I really REALLY wish I had NEVER purchased FT. WAY too many glitches for my liking.

I just noticed this now, they are just walking through the cars, even the original maxis ones, then they get in, then nothing. Thats when I have to sell the car. Its almost like because of FT the mesh has been broken on the cars.

Also on the restorable car if I do it on the main driveway it becomes "stuck" in the trashed look. I can't do anything to it. My head is about to explode from frustration.

PS yes I have the drive way in the right spot, I have moveobjects turned off. And yeah its like this on every single lot. *kicks Sims 2 FT programmers in the shin* I tried using JM's anti-watchout and nodrivewayshuffle and niether work.
