If I remember right there's 3 or 4 colors to choose from. Body shape is all the same unfortunately. I don't know if you can sit with them on your lap. When she was carrying the dog around all she could do was stand. You can watch them in their little playpen as well as feed them and I don't remember what else. I just thought the playpen took up a lot of room for what you get
