Have you tested your game without the ANYTHING in your downloads to conclude it being the game itself or somthing you downloaded?
I ask this because it would be a waste to reinstall everything again.

If you have the phone controller, which might be the culprit, needs to be disabled or removed. Somtimes hacks get left in houses unknowingly. What you can do is run Clean Installer and weed it out to see if you might have it in your downloads folder. Red indicates hacks, look out of anything phone related.

From Sims2WikiBecoming a Plant SimThe way one becomes a plant sim through gameplay is through gardening. Becoming a plant sim while gardening is fairly rare. First, adult or elder sims must have sprayed pesticides 10 times on plants on that particular lot. Then, every time you spray after that, there's a 10% chance of your sim being turned into a Plantsim. Basically, you must be abusing pesticides for this to happen. It may be easier on premade Maxis lots like the Greenmans as the lot's preexisting "pesticide abuse level" may already be high enough to provide the 10% chance of going Plant. For a much easier way to become a Plantsim, get Wintermuteai1's PlantSim Mod , which is a potion which will let your sim instantly become a plant sim. |

Perhaps you should also test the games without hacks period, one may be conflicting with the other or probably outdated. Before you enter the house, enter "boolProp testingCheatsEnabled true" while in neighborhood view. Try and see if you can get an error log and attach it.

Either you can look if the creator has updated them for your most recent EP or learn how to update them yourself. It's not easy but, everyone goes through trial and error with SimPe. As for the maxis bookcases, try LordyDarcy's fixes section at mts2 or MoreAwesomeThanYou.

Doku, of course your sims will look funny without your custom content, but this is to sort out your problem. Run the game and just check, just remember not to save the game when testing without your cc.
