Simmers' Paradise / General Sims 2 Help / inverted movies
|

when I got my new computer and reinstalled the sims 2, i developed a movie making problem. When I make movies they come out inverted -upside down- when played in media player or divx. VLC plays them upright but it doesn't help because the sound still comes out backwards. Why is this? How can I fix it?

Simmers' Paradise / General Sims 2 Help / Pets won't eat

Since there is no "Pets" section I'll ask here. When I try to feed my livestock the animals don't even go near their dish even when commanded to do so by player, in spite of, repeated warnings that the poor animal is starving. Infant care has similar problems, even when the player manually controls the character; free will or not. What is the problem?

Simmers' Paradise / FreeTime Help / Free Time crashes: Possible solution
|

When I first bought OFB -remember that old relic? lol- My computer would crash constantly. At the time, I was only running 128 MB video and 1 GB RAM. When I upgraded my system, I ended up with 256 MB video and 2 GB RAM. The Sims 2 is a pig on resources as the user progresses past Night Life, especially if CC is used. The problem was solved by my increase in my video card capability and further reinforced by my RAM upgrade. I hope this helps.

Simmers' Paradise / FreeTime Help / Free Time Game start problem

Firstly the CD doesn't auto run when placed in the drive, that's fine, but what irks me is that when I hit the icon on my desktop to run the game, it doesn't load until I try several times. I just get a black screen with my cursor arrow on it without the game loading. I often have to Ctrl-Alt-Delete to get my task manager and end the process so I can try again. After 3 to 5 tries the game finally loads. I'm happy for the fact that dilligence will get me started, but it is still exasperating. It seems like the CD is lazy or something. Anybody else have this problem? How can it be fixed?
