this is mostly for those in the Hell Date contest, but anybody who wants it can have it.

It works for all categories

It is part of my "devil" set, links to the other parts of the set will be posted soon

also, don't expect anything fancy, I'm a beginner at this.

Enjoy!

Ideas from people at thesims2.ea.com:

SoccerChicMN13
Here's some ideas, not all of them are my originals though, sorry.

-Have a single mom/dad with a kid or two live in a park. Provide them only necessities, like benches for sleeping, and toys for the children. If you have Seasons, you must fish and cannot buy a fridge.

-Create a nanny in CAS and have her live in a house on her own. Move her in with families that need a nanny. Great way to save money, and the nanny is actually going to do her job!

-Have two Sims that hate each other live together. Have the cowplant eat one of the sims, then have the living sim drink the "milk." Ressurect the "cow food sim" again and repeat. You could call the living sim Tuck Everlasting!

-Build an "apartment" building (lock the doors to allow only that single sim in). It's really more fun than it sounds! Have a massive love...shape with all the people in your building! Try to have everyone in love with each other without the others finding out!

-Make the ultimate monster: Alien, Zombie, Werewolf, Plantsim, Vampire. Virtually impossible, but quite hard challenge to keep you busy!

I'm having Lucy Burb adopt every stray that comes to her yard. 4 and counting. They all have jobs, too.

JK Amaryllis
make a family to kind of represent each EP. For uni, of course, make some typical college students. For nightlife, make a sim who is single and loves to go 'clubbing'. OFB, make a total businessman and start a business. Pets.. make an old lady with like 8 cats... (or your own idea). lol. YOu get the idea. Smiley

some interesting ideas:
nuns- live in a church and adopt kids, renaming the kids brother ? or sister ?
monks- like nuns only live in a temple and start with men instead of women.
royal family- make this one a legacy! add a "duchess", "duke", "prince", "princess", "queen", "king", ect. to their first name
tribe- use boolprop to enter debugging mode and make an awesome tribe!
orphanage- adopt a toddler or child every now and then, see if you can take care of them all without cheats
pound- adopt a puppy/kitten/dog/cat every now and then (no elders) and see if you can find them all a new owner before they become elders.

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Make a knowledge sim family, try to get them to become something supernatural (zombie, vampire, werewolf or plantsim), get abducted or build servos.
Copy a family off a TV show, movie or book, like the simpsons. maybe make a whole neighborhood dedicated to the show/movie/book. I made a whole neighborhood of Harry Potter, with Hogwarts as the college, Diagone Alley and Knockturn Alley were the shopping villages.
Or just roll a dice for things like number of people in family, age, gender, ect. even relationships, and you can end up with a wacky family! I ended up with a single mom raising three kids with help from her mom.
Let the sims do as they please, or try to fulfill as many of their wants/lifetime wants as possible.
try a legacy, uglacy or a different challenge, there's a forum dedicated to challenges on modthesims2.com, and you can find them on most sim fansites, or on this forum. or adopt a sim family from simcasticdesigns.com, some of them have very interesting stories.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

Play all the maxis-made families if you haven't already, and do as you please.

Make a black widow sim (no job, gets all money from husbands when they move in and get one motherlode when they kill their husband without cheats, and it's not old age) and see how rich your black widow becomes.

Make any romance sim and try to keep their aspiration high from their many lovelifes. I suggest hiring maids, talking to them, then firing them, and then you know a new person Wink. I also suggest not being gender-picky with who they fall in love with.

Get some inspiration from reading some of the stories on the exchange, that's what first inspired the royal family idea.
debugging mode is also very helpful for cool families and ideas- it inspired the tribe idea

also, make a town with a family of only vampires, one of only aliens (using debugging mode), one of only werewolfs, one with only servos, ect. without cheats (except debugging mode for the aliens).

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
make a neighborhood where one man and one woman will live in, and try to populate the whole neighborhood with their children, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, great-great-grandchildren, ect. There's a challenge on this too, the "Adam and Eve Challenge" (thesims2.ea.com).
make twin kids and their parents, have one twin do everything good (A+s as a child, roofraiser birthday parties, overacheiver as a teen, tons of scholarships and college too, top of their career or a level 10 business, get married, have a roofraiser wedding party, have babies who grow up well with roofraiser birthday parties and get A+s, ec.) And the other does everything bad (D- grades, no job, runaway teen, terrible parties, ect.)
make a family for each aspiration (knowledge could be a kid in college, family a really large family with like eight kids going on ten, pleasure a sim downtown, romance a single woman who gets lots of babies from her lovelifes, ect.
make a neighberhood with 10+ families and try to get them to become one really big family through mairrage- see how many generations it takes (sort of a backwards version of the Adam and Eve Challenge, mentioned above)
or make a couple with a toddler only command the parents to get a job and different things to fill up needs, everything else they need to do on freewill (or turn freewill off to make it harder) and only one parent can have a job. have the toddler "ask for attention" "ask for food" and "ask for diaper change" and try to get them to survive till the toddler is a teen and can mostly take care of itself without help from parent.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

make a toddler sim and their family and try to have them overachieve in everything they do WITHOUT CHEATS (get potty trained, learn how to walk, talk and study, get into private school, get to the top of their career/business as teens, become overacheivers, become big man/woman on campus, graduate 4.0 grade average, get married, have kids, own a pet at the top of their career, teach their pet all the commands, get their pet fully trained, ect.)

it'd be difficult

try to limit yourself to only calling service to adopt and only call for a nanny if they only live with one sim that's teen or older. that'd be even more difficult.

avoid runaways and social service.

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Some ideas (in bold, with details following) and tips for themed neighborhoods:
1. make sure it's an interesting theme that you enjoy and can play through. For instance, a tribe theme you can't really play through because what can you do that makes it more tribe like? A Kings and Queens theme on the other hand can be interesting, and can play well with interesting storylines available. I have a neighborhood with a royal family and some rich familys, or the noblemen as you may call them in one section of the neighborhood (Upper Class) the founding family and other families in another (Middle Class, though the founders have a small fortune, that's unfortunatly dying down, so guess they'd eventually belong in Middle Class) and maybe I should make the poor lower class.
2. Use debugging mode to unlock clothes that fits your theme (for instance, an Ancient Greece theme could use the togas in Uni's debugging mode), and for you OFB owners, use the salon chair and "suggest outfit" option to make the townies dress and look as you see fit. Or you can use simPE.
3. If you're doing a society like Kings and Queens, Ancient Greece, Ancient Rome or Ancient Egypt you can add a downtown/shopping district as another kingdom, or another town in Rome/Egypt/Greece.
on the ModtheSims2.com forums and the thesims2.ea.com forums there are challenges involving a themed neighborhood of your choice.
15  Simmers' Paradise / General Sims 2 Help / can't load sims- please help!!!!! EDIT: problem solved! on: December 23, 2007, 09:21:53 pm
*sigh* the thing is I have a bunch of friends who've made sims on my account and would be so mad if I deleted all the cc- they're the only reason I still have it.
I'll try checking my system software and try a system restore later- I'm not focused enough right now
if only I knew how to do a file check on my downloads and savedsims folders to check if any are bad... can't cleaninstaller do that?
