1  Simmers' Paradise / General Sims 2 Help / Something stupid related to uvmapping on: September 05, 2011, 06:49:18 am
I have a really stupid question. I checked everything I found about uvmapping but I'm stuck on the fact that it is stated that to maximize the map I have to click on the symbol "=" in the numerical pad. Help! Where the hell is the symbol "=" in the numeric pad? I don't have any! I use a swedish keyboard and the symbol "=" is located on the top of the number 0 (zero, null) and it doesn't work. Literally I pressed ALL the keyboard buttons and none works.  Does anyone know the answer? Thanks.  Embarrassed
2  Welcome to insimenator.org / Issues & Suggestions / Classification of Sims version? on: September 03, 2011, 02:24:59 am
Is it difficult to include a brief classification on the new posts that appear on the main page, so that you know immediately if it deals on TS2 or TS3? Sometimes you read something interesting and only after you clicked and entered the thread you get to know which game it is talking about. It would also avoid that you give or get wrong information and have to go back and include "oops! wrong game!" Thanks.
3  Simmers' Paradise / Where Can I Find...? / WCIF - Mod to avoid clothing in inventory on: August 20, 2011, 06:30:21 am
Does anyone know if there's a mod that avoids that Clothing which sims grow into, is added to the family inventory. I'm particularly interested on avoiding that Young Adults throw all the garbage in the house inventory. My Uni is a school with uniform and though I unabled all clothing to YAs, they continue finding a piece of crap to add to the inventory.
There's no reason to have a lot of shop clothing racks, if they continue filling up the wardrobe at random. Thanks.
4  Simmers' Paradise / Skintones / Plantsim default skintone that is not "green" on: May 05, 2011, 05:51:20 am
I'm looking for a default replacement skintone for the plantsim thingie, but one that is not green at all. In fact I wished a brownish skin that looked more to a tree stalk (tronc d'arbre) enough worked to look like a tree but not too much to look like a monster. Something like a strong tree like body and a more sensible and fine texture for the face. The lighting for the skin I think has to be reduced to almost a mat surface so that it looks dry but not dead. It requires a very good skintone maker to get a good result. Thanks.
5  Simmers' Paradise / Objects & Recolors / Special sized mattress (single bed) on: May 03, 2011, 07:16:26 am
Is it possible for someone that can create new beds (animated and useable sheets), to create a special sized mattress-bed for me? It is not to reduce the size but to increase it on the sides so that two mattress-beds can be placed together and simulate a double bed. I know that two beds have to be created, one for the left and one for the right, so that everything fits together. I'm dealing with creatures that I want they do not mix up with normal sims, do not use the same objects, do not sleep in same beds, things like that. I can create most of the objects but I don't have presently time for much reading to learn how to deal with game animated objects. It can be created two cheap single beds and just eliminate the frame once I actually need only the mattress. Any help is deeply appreciated. Thanks.
6  Simmers' Paradise / Where Can I Find...? / Grass cutter on: April 07, 2011, 06:22:43 am
Anyone knows where I could find a good mesh of a grass clipper, preferably one we call Sittklipper, a sort of toy tractor you sit on the top to cut the lawn. I have a grass clipper made by feeessen but it is a little bit too childlike, I'm looking for something more dramatic. Thanks.
7  Simmers' Paradise / Content Creation & Recoloring Help / Terrible Mistake on: April 04, 2011, 02:18:25 pm
I downloaded some animation meshes today and got very interested to create a special toddler doll. Unfortunately I forgot to check the UV Map of the original mesh before I finished positioning the doll. Result is that the UV Map is a tragedy and I'm not that good to change UV Maps. Is it possible for someone with more know how than me to correct it - or should I simply scrap it?
8  Simmers' Paradise / General Sims 2 Help / What goes to What? Fashion Help! on: March 19, 2011, 06:43:33 am
I followed a link from a post at MTS2 and landed on a site named LianaSims. There were some interesting outfits and I downloaded several of them and was very careful to download the outfit and the respective mesh simultaneously. Now I have a folder with about 100 outfits but I cannot connect the textures to the respective meshes because there's absolutely NOTHING to identify them. I opened each outfit in Simpe and all it is written in the Text list (that should identify what goes to what)  was an internett adress or just "Made by xxx". How the hell you girls identify all those outfits. If the only answer is to throw all the crap in the downloads folder and hope that they are correct, I think that I have to trash file about 33 MB and almost one hour of my time.
If someone has a better answer, thanks beforehand.
9  Simmers' Paradise / Clothing & Body Mesh's / Correction on 2 game outfits Request on: March 09, 2011, 11:18:20 am
Could please someone that can make clothes meshes, make a correction in two game outfits that I always dreamed to have repaired? The outfits are the aubodyclown (FreeTime) and the pajamas used by the sloppy date (Base Game).  Both have one of the legs shorter than the other and I would like to have them with simetrical legs. To say the truth I would like to have all outfits that have one leg shorter to have both simetrical (there are some others in game).
Outfits like the bodyclown are gender neutral and can be used for many other purposes. If they exist already I would love to be linked.
Thanks.
10  Simmers' Paradise / Apartment Life Help / Time System in TS2 on: March 09, 2011, 05:53:26 am
This is an specific question, not hypothetic: Anyone knows how the game counts "Days of the Month"? Is it triggered when you launch the game?, or when you launch an specific lot? How is it reset? At every game launch? Every lot launch? Or everytime you switch on the computer? (In the last case, is it using real datum?)
I know that one Sim day is equivalent to one year, hours and days of the week are visually counted in the UI, but how are the "months" counted?
Ex.: food has birth day, month and year. I suppose that you can count how long food will take to spoil if you just take as start point the birth day or year and it would be enough.
Reason for the question: I want to know how one could calculate an action based on the day of the month (and I'm not talking about foodies), so I need accurate information.
One supposition I already have is that you take a 24 hours clock and divide by 2 so you will have a month consisted of 2 sim hours. Anyone can confirm that? Please reconsider your answer because I'm european. Some other countries folk cannot even understand a 24 hours clock. A 12 hours clock base would require separated timing AM/PM and it would be a hell of calculation, so I also suppose that it wouldn't be taken for basis, but you never know.  Grin
Thanks.
11  Simmers' Paradise / Clothing & Body Mesh's / Clothing to carry baby on the back on: February 17, 2011, 07:24:54 am
I don't know if anyone has done it before, but is it possible to create any kind of clothing for males and females that include a baby on the back? There are plenty of deco babies, I wonder if someone could create an outfit that simulate someone carrying a baby on the back like some folks use to do. I'm needing in fact also an outfit like this for elders (I want to replace the crap nanny for other purposes  Grin so I need that the baby is part of the outfit).
Thanks.
12  Simmers' Paradise / Content Creation & Recoloring Help / Proper lay down anims on: February 03, 2011, 07:37:27 am
I have been working in some objects and I'm missing proper lay down animations. Has anyone been able to correct some of EAxis "fantastic" lay down animations? I took as start point the "vampire" coffin. The lay down animations are better than the original beds but some genial "emptloyees" created the animation with the sim in a stupid position holding the coffin cover with one arm/hand, what gives ... well, the stupid look as always!
I got a "Numenorian" object named "UVAtanningBed" but he didn't do anything more than replace the meshes. The animations for Beach Towel Suntanning are far better but are limitated to the ground level. I know that any object that is initialized to support weight 0x00C8 is able to hold a Sim, but it is still the issue of snapping the sim to the proper slot. Is there anyone who has any clue on this?  The massage table is out of questions, I couldn't even find the codes to enter the massage table. Thanks.
13  Simmers' Paradise / Content Creation & Recoloring Help / Bed Sheets on: January 26, 2011, 04:52:07 am
Could someone please teach me what could be done to correct the problem that a clone of a bed makes that the sim doesn't use the sheets when sleeping? I know that the problem is already solved somewhere but I don't know where. Thanks.
14  Simmers' Paradise / Content Creation & Recoloring Help / Milkshape Grid on: January 23, 2011, 08:17:12 am
Could someone please inform me what I can do to make objects placed on the Milkshape grid to be automatically adjusted to fit inside the Game grid? I'm working with some fake houses and buildings and when I place them correctly in Milkshape, they are completely displaced when I test them in game. If I go back to Milkshape to correct it, it becomes even worse. Thanks.
15  Simmers' Paradise / Content Creation & Recoloring Help / Outfits Including hats and other accessories on: January 05, 2011, 05:19:27 am
Does anyone know where is this resource node:

E519C933-3CC1ADA-1C0532FA-FF6B8A91  Huh?

I checked everything inside the game and there's no match. It is used in all career outfits that include hats and other accessories. I checked also all bins and no match too.
Thanks.
