1  Simmers' Paradise / Sims Stories / Silent Hill 2: The Sims, Part 1 (Pic Heavy) on: February 21, 2008, 11:02:45 pm

Hello! This is my first ever Sims 2 story. It is based very loosely on the surreal survival/horror video game Silent Hill 2 and uses three characters from it. I'm not claiming the characters as my own or any other ridiculous thing like that. This is simply a story made by a fan of games for fans of games. With that said, there will be some scary/violent images, nothing too harsh. Also there are alot of pics to load so please be patient. This is part 1 of the story. If anyone likes it I may think about concluding it with a part 2. Thanks and enjoy!

A woman sat alone on a rusted old swing set in the seemingly abandoned town. She was cold and confused, with nothing but silence lent to her ears, along with the occasional bothersome noise of the swing creaking in protest as if it would give out at any second. She had no idea where she was or why it felt as though she was waiting for someone, or something..

In the distance a vague shape walked through the thick fog, leaving the shadows to be revealed by a street light as a man. His face told of extreme emotional distress but despite this fact, his lips upturned into a broad smile as soon as he laid eyes on the woman. "Mary?! Is...is that really you?"

The girl frowned, scrunching her nose in confusion. Immediately the man's heart sank. He rubbed at the back of his neck uneasily. "Oh..I'm sorry. I thought you were someone else. My wife, Mary..you look just like her! But...she died years ago. I don't know why I think she's here..anyway my name is James."

The woman stood up from the old swing, her hands on her hips seductively as a smirk curved her moist lips. "Well I'm Maria.." She stepped close to James, placing a hand on his shoulder. "You're...really NOT Mary.." James said, an obvious tone of nervousness in his words.

He turned away and began walking down the empty street. "Hey! Wait up! You're just gonna leave me out here by myself?!" Maria ran to catch up and begun following closely by James' side, taking note that though he was silent, he did not object to her company. The two continued down the street until James stopped in front of an abandoned hotel. Maria cringed, tapping a boot anxiously on the sidewalk. "You don't really want to go in there....do you?"

James didn't answer, but instead pushed the heavy double doors open and stepped inside, unflinching despite the horrid musky smell that was thick in the air. He began up the steps, boots thudding on the rotted wood underfoot. "Maria, stay here I'm gonna go up and have a look around."

Upstairs he entered one of the rooms, not surprised to see it vacant. The center of the floor glowed with a nauseating green glow. James approached, kneeling to find a simple 9.mm handgun on the floor which he promptly picked up to examine.

Just then the door swung open, James spun around gun in hand only to see that Maria had entered behind him. His brows narrowed at her but she simply shrugged. "What?..I got tired of waiting alone down there. What's that?" She remarked, pointing to the gun in Jame's hand. "You're not gonna kill me are you?.." She smirked, but James was unamused. "I found it here, I'm gonna keep it. We may need it later."

The two left the room, walking further down the hall until entering another of the vacant hotel rooms. This room was lit a bit brighter than the last, much to their comfort. With the gun firmly in his grasp James surveyed the area and upon deciding it was safe stuffed the weapon into his jacket.

Maria began to act strangely all of a sudden, she coughed horribly as though she had been ill all her life, and then stumbled back into a wall where she dropped weakly into a sitting position. James knelt beside her, placing his hand to her shoulder to shake her lightly. "Maria! What's wrong?..Are..are you okay?" There was a shakey tone in his voice. Maria's sudden sickness was strangely nostalgic to his wife Mary's illness. The same illness that had killed her three years ago.

Maria used James for support as she stood, then shooed him with a weak gesture of her hand. She sat on the edge of a filthy old bed and laid down, coughing still. "I'm fine James..I just..just need to rest. You go on and look for..." Her words trailed off into silence, a puzzled look on her face while she tried to recall the name. "Mary.." James said simply and gave a nod. "Okay..I'll go on ahead but I'll be back for you! Just rest." With that he left the room and moved downstairs, making his way into the bathroom.

Once inside, something shiney in the tub caught his eye. The tub was the filthiest thing James had ever seen, but he reluctantly leaned over it and stuck his hand down into the clogged drain, pulling up a single key with the word "School" etched into the base of it.

He dropped the key in his pocket and quickly moved to the sink to begin washing his hands, though even the sink itself didn't look much cleaner than the bathtub and James wondered if it would do any good.

After he finished washing up, James looked from the sink to the mirror, horrified to see behind him a strange figure clad in a bloody butcher's smock, with a massive metal pyramid for a head.

James fumbled frantically with the gun in his coat for several seconds before managing to pull it free and then whirled around to face the monster only to see that it was no longer there. Was he going crazy? Seeing things? He had to be crazy to think Mary was still alive, somewhere in this town.. Before James could scold himself for being so naive he heard a piercing scream upstairs. "Maria!"

James burst through the bathroom door, his heart pounding as he ascended the rotted steps that amazingly remained intact under the weight of his urgency. He then ran full speed down the corridor, seeing 'Pyramid Head' briefly appear in a swirling swarm of flies just outside the door of the room Maria was left in.

"Maria?!" James threw the door open with all his weight and stumbled into the room, shocked to see that the bed was empty. Maria was gone. No! not gone, she was taken! Taken by that Pyramid thing..

Despite fears that he was indeed losing his sanity, James crawled onto the bed and peeked out the window overlooking the street. Sure enough there it was. Pyramid Head stood expectantly with his arms crossed infront of the school as if he had been waiting. But James knew he wasn't waiting..he was leading. Leading James to that school..but for what?.

There was only one way to find out, and so James left the abandoned hotel behind. As he approached the school with key in hand he began to feel sick, his heart raced with all the unanswered questions running through his mind. None the less James fit the key into the school door's lock, turned it, and entered.

"JAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAMES!"

"MARIAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA!"

James had found himself in a place that looked nothing like a school. The floors were metal grates, the walls were solid steel stained with rust, or blood and had chains and shackles hanging from them. Pyramid Head stood with his arms crossed once again, beside Maria who was trapped in a cage and sobbing.

Enraged, James threw up his fists and screamed out like a mad man. "LEAVE HER ALONE! LEAVE US BOTH THE HELL ALONE!"

But it was too late. The bars keeping Maria trapped disappeared and she dropped to her knees beside Pyramid Head, then unexplainably burst into flames, screaming until the last of the air in her lungs escaped her lips and she fell over, lying motionless.

Distraught, James fell to his knees in front of Maria's body and wept. He felt punished, but why? Was this some kind of punishment? Was the Pyramid Head an executioner? How or why did not matter. He had not found Mary, Maria was dead and with her death came the same pain he had felt for the loss of his wife.

As Pyramid Head turned and walked away in silence James stood and pointed at the creature accusingly. "This isn't over you bastard! It's not over!"
