I have a sim that kind of looks like her minus the hairstyle.

I've been looking for more old school punk chick/goth chick hair styles for the game, just haven't had much luck.  But if I find a mesh that works, I'll upload the sim.

I usually make my own characters, but I'm having no luck with this one.

I imagine the Fashion Model Bodytype would fit this one the best, the issue I'm having is with the hair.

If anyone would like to give it a shot, that would rock.

And rather than creating two individual threads, maybe someone refer me to a site that has a hair mesh like this..

I've been looking for ages, but most sims sites seem to cater to super long hair meshes. Sad

What does that have to do with disabling the use of CC?

Disabling CC has nothing to do with the advancement of technology, it has everything to do with money.

The reason the US f***ed itself is because too many people always wanted more, they were never happy with just having enough.  EA is no different, they think they found a way to make even more.  Now they have a base game, future expansions and additional content.

Hellgate tried to do that, and it failed.

The TS3 leak is allowing a lot of people to already post a lot of negativity online, that will probably have more of an impact on sales than the piracy itself.

This would be the best time for another publisher/dev to create a game not unlike the Sims 3, but totally open to CC, and with a bit more of a mature spin.

Let us say hypothetically, someone cracks this "installer" thing people keep referring to.  And lets say that after it is cracked, we can get CC in.  Well that's dandy and all but what'll happen is a new expansion will come out, one that updates the installer.  Then you're back to square one.

Personally, if people have a spine, they'd show Maxis how they feel about all of this by not buying the damn game.  If people buy it and bitch, EA doesn't care.  It's like the woman who gets beat up by her man, if she keeps going back, he's going to keep beating her.

I think I've said it in other threads, but those threads may be on other sites Wink.

Isn't this a good thing for those who prefer TS2?

There's still a lot that can be done with TS2.  There's still quite a few of Warlokks bodyshapes that haven't really been hit heavy with custom outfits, that can kill time for those who like to create.  There's still a number of animations the few that do ts2 animations could do.  And I'm still cranking out quite a few conversions over at Back Alley and sometimes this sites "sister" site.

Don't get me wrong, Ts3 looks nice.  I like the free roaming, can't say I don't.  But without CC, the Sims is a G rated game.  And I doubt very many of us here are under the age of 12, or like being coddled by a company that treats us as if we're under the age of 12 and have a thick wallet or a healthy bank account.

I can only dream that 3 will kill the franchise.

But I think those who aren't into CC much, they'll buy it, play it for a few weeks and move onto another game.  THose who love the CC, I imagine they may try it out but than come back to 2.

But we'll see.
7  The Sims 3 / Sims 3 Buzz / Re: InSiminator Mod for Sims3 on: May 18, 2009, 06:32:30 pm
Not to break any hearts.

I don't think we'll see a lot of the same mods for 3.

I wouldn't hold my breath when it comes inteen, I mean they're still working on a newer Inteen for 2.  And TJ seems to be totally occupied working on ACR 2.0 for 2.

Warlokk is retired I believe, so I don't think we'll see the really detailed body shapes for 3.

Chris Hatch and Joker have been making some great stuff for 2, not sure if they're jumping to 3 anytime soon.

Hunter I believe is pretty much retired from modding, but maybe he'll come back for 3, who knows.

There's a lot of clothing designers for 2, but when it came to custom animations and the really complex mods, very few really did anything solid.  So if those few don't move to three, ugh.
8  Simmers' Paradise / Sims 2 Apartment Life Chat / Apartment Life = Satantist? on: September 01, 2008, 01:45:45 am
In a world where Teletubbies were considered demonic and Harry Potter is considered to be Lucifer, this isn't shocking.  In a country where hate mongers send out email claiming Obama the anti christ and christians claim that Katrina was the result of homosexuality, I'm not surprised.   It's just funny because Maxis creates very G rated witches, vampires, werewolves and the like.

She must think games like Oblivion and Worlds of Warcraft are portals to hell itself...

All I had were a few objects from Simslice, but that could be part of the issue.  It's hard to say..

I think I may have corrupted the hood by using the apartment cheat.

"changelotzoning apartmentbase"

I heard that was the cheat to use in order to make a custom apartment, and it worked like a charm.

I did delete the cache files after that, but if it was the cache files the custom sims in the other hood would have vanished as well.

So I just think that cheat somehow corrupted the hood.

But I'm creating new families for a new hood now, but without ACR.

See what happens...

Ok, I hate AL.

I tried loading the game today, the belladonna hood was the hood I've been using.  Every custom sim I had made and put into a lot, they were all gone.  All of the Maxis sims I put into lots, they still were there.  I found this be kind of odd, so I exited the game and then re-started.  The game began to crash anytime I tried to load a hood after that.  I removed the downloads folder, but it didn't help at all.  So I reinstalled everything.

It was if AL decided to revert the Belladonna Hood to the factory settings.  However, one of the apartment complexes I built using the cheat codes, that lot was still there.  So I really can't figure out what happened.

Now one of the custom hoods I made, I loaded that up before the game had the crash issue on top of the vanishing custom sims, that hood still had all of the custom sims.

So I really can't figure this one out.

But I'm starting over fresh with downloads, so I'm going to avoid all hacks, even non gobal ones.  That way if the problem comes back, I'll know it's AL and not anything else.

Odd though.. it ran without an issue for two days.

Good luck with building that apartment.  I can't find any setting/option that allows one to build an apartment from the ground up.  I heard there are a few cheats one can use though.

There's someone over on MATY that actually wants to make a hack to get rid of witches.  I'm not sure why some have an issue with supernatural creatures, maybe a religious thing?

A few things to keep in mind.

When you're in apartment complex, some objects can't be moved.

For example, if you use acr and spawn the adjustor outside or in the lobby, you won't be able to move it.  You have to spawn the adjustor while you're inside of the apartment your sim is renting in order to move the adjustor around.  And of course the same thing goes for the other objects on the roof or in the lobby.

The dance under the kiss menu, still seems absurd.  But the dance option that opens a sub menu with "classic dance" listed, that appears to be hobby or badge oriented.  So I imagine as points are built up, more options are listed under that sub menu.
15  Simmers' Paradise / Sims 2 Apartment Life Chat / So has anyone gotten Apartment Life yet? on: August 27, 2008, 06:09:12 pm
I re-installed the Sims and the expansions last week, so I wasn't using many mods to begin with.  So far I had to remove inteen, but that's normal.  ACR however, ACR is working alright but it has a few bugs.  Apartment Life changed the kiss menu, there's now a "dance" option and a "suck face" option under the kiss menu.  So the acr kiss options will cause an error if used.  The woohoo and flirt options ACR tosses into the mix work fine however.

AL also added a few other dance options, and that don't make a lot of sense.  Classic Dance doesn't make any sense whatsoever.  And slow dance seems to have changed a little, could be acr causing it to be buggy though.  I'll look into that later.

The apartments and condos will cause slower systems to bog down.

But on the bright side, this is supposedly the end for the Sims 2.  So once these bugs are worked out and once the mods are updated.  They won't have to be updated again.
