Okay, two little requests here, if at all possible.

First of all, from Apartment Life, I really dislike the outside 'Cuddle' and 'Cuddle Under Stars' actions. I mean, I do like them, but not when my sims do it autonomously... over and over and over. At any given moment that my sims aren't queued up with something, they're lying on the sidewalk together! It's annoying.

And, the other thing is the stupid, new animation that Mansion & Garden has added; where the sims will place their hand over their eyes in a salute-like motion to shield them from the sun. Not only is this a pointless animation to add so late into the Sims 2 series, but it's terrible.

Not only do they shield their eyes every single time they go outside, it looks even more horrible whenever they have something in their hands! This "shield eyes" animation just needs to be removed completely.

Okay, I just received Apartment Life during Christmas and I'm just now having a chance to really play a lot with it.

The thing is, when I take my sims to a community lot now, there will be a random townie (not just the new social group sims either) who will walk up and it will have the queue 'Be Greeted'. However, they don't do any of the new greetings... they shake my active sim's hand just like I was greeting them on a residential lot!

After that, no other Townies will stay on the community lot! They'll walk past, one by one, and if I click them, it says 'Greet (whoever)' and 'Greet With...'. That's it; I can't interact with the Townies unless I greet them first! If I don't they'll just walk on past and leave the lot, as if it were a residential lot instead of a community one.

I've downloaded/installed the up-to-date AL patch (number 2?), and sadly, I did this BEFORE I played, so I wonder if it's something related to the patch.

I removed EVERY SINGLE THING from my Downloads folder; all hacks, objects, clothes, etc. I deleted the Accessory.cache and the Groups.cache. I even created a brand new neighborhood as a test to make sure my normal neighborhood isn't corrupted... Nothing is fixing this problem!

I'm completely at a loss at the moment. This pretty much ruins the game for me until I can figure out how to fix this.

So, I received Apartment Life for Christmas and although I'm really enjoying it, I'm rather ticked off that Eaxis thought it would be cute to contain so many freakin' pointless color options for the female hairs...



Now, what's the point of this? Five versions of the SAME hair just with different colored barrettes or hair clips!? And, it's like that for all colors and for the main 3 new female hairstyles! 

So, I just cranked up SimPE this morning and selected each hair separately so they can be hidden from Body Shop and the in-game CAS!



Now, I present these files to you as well. These are very small global mods that will hide certain hairs from the game. All you have to do is place any of these files into your Sims 2/Downloads folder and the hairstyle will be hidden!

Here's how I have labeled them: Number 1 is simply a Hair With a Barrette; Number 2 is a Puffy Ponytail with a Scrunchie; Number 3 is a Long Ponytail with a Scrunchie; and, Number 4 is a hair that Eaxis has labeled as Rockabilly.

Now, here's an example on what to do:

Let's say that you like the Black Hair with a Blue Barrette and you ONLY want it to appear in your game. You would open the Hairs with Barrettes zip file, choose the OTHER color options (Red Barrette, Green Barrette, etc.) and you would place them into your Sims 2/Downloads folder. You WOULD NOT place the Black Hair with Blue Barrette file into the folder. If you did, it would become hidden as well.

To break it down further...

- You like the Red Hair with Green Barrette and no other colors.
- Place the Red Hair with Red, Blue, Orange and Purple Barrettes files into Sims 2/Downloads.
- Do NOT place the Red Hair with Green Barrette file into the folder.
- All of the other colors will be hidden and only your choice will show up!

You can mix & match the choices as you see fit. All of these files are very small, so it shouldn't lag your game or anything. Plus, you can simply remove them from the Downloads folder at any time and the hair options will reappear as normal.

As a bonus, I've included a single mod that removes all five colors of the Rockabilly hairstyle, because I think it looks completely silly. If you download this mod and place it into your Sims 2/Downloads folder, all colors of the Rockabilly hair will be hidden.

Why in the fark is my genie dressed in a business suit, with a normal body!? I don't have AL yet (just up to FT) and I rarely get the gypsy to deliver the stupid lamp.

I finally get the darn thing and THIS is what I see when I rub the lamp...  >_<;

Is there any way to fix this? And, what caused it?

I do have all FT patches installed, etc.

I created this sim a few months back and I'm ready to share him with everyone since he finally died of old age in my game. *sniff* I'm very proud of him and I hope you all enjoy him as well.

Here's how he looks when you install him. He doesn't have the skin, hair or clothes, so it's best to visit the above links for those.

As for installing him, I've got all of the EPs, but it should work with any version of the game. If you get an error, just use Clean Installer instead.

I've built my own hotel, changed the zone and everything worked fine. However, I'm a little curious about how to label my Simoleon price range. I think the Prima guide tells, but does anyone here know the price ranges for each level?

For example:

Price Range § (level 1 simoleon) would equal ?? - ?? a night
Price Range §§ (level 2 simoleon) would equal ?? - ?? a night

And so on...

Here's what I've done so far: I've built 1 pretty big hotel in Takemizu Village; the suites totalled up to about $1020 each, so I've labeled the price range at a 5 simoleon level.

I checked one of EA's default locations (Takemizu Village Resort) and their suites range to about $800 a night; they're just set to a level 4 simoleon price range.

When I place my Bon Voyage CD into my DVD-Rom or CD-Rom drives, the Autoplay function won't start and the disk doesn't automatically load up.

I can click on Start/Program Files/EA Games/Bon Voyage and it opens with the Launcher just fine, of course, but I thought it was odd that it won't use Autoplay to start straight up. As a last resort, I even changed the Program Files shortcut to open "Sims2EP6.exe" so it'll bypass the launcher (I don't like the new launcher anyway. lol), but that still didn't make a difference.

My Autoplay still works fine with my other CDs, DVDs and PC games.

Anyone having this issue? It's no biggie... I just thought this was kind of strange. :smt120

So, I've installed the 2nd Seasons patch now; and, might I add, it look you long enough, EA...

Anyway, it did fix some of the major problems I was having. At least my community lot fish will properly generate in the ponds now instead of magically appearing and "swimming" through the grass!

A few other things have been repaired for me too; such as the weather reactions messing up the swimming pools, the constant bathing, etc.

BUT, there's some things that the patch didn't repair and I'm kind of at a loss now. I know there's a chance that some of these may be dealt with by the time Bon Voyage comes out, but that's still quite a bit down the road.

The two biggest problems that it didn't repair are:

- Accessories! Yep, mine are still flashing blue; even Maxis default accessories are messed up, including the vampire fangs.

- Community Lot Cooks! After getting Seasons, NPC cooks will no longer appear at my community lot restaurants. When my sims order food, the waiter/waitress will walk to the stove and stand there for a few seconds and then the food will just magically appear on the table in front of my sim.

I can also shift-click on the stove (with boolprop enabled, of course) and I can force an error/reset it, and the NPC cook will generate to the lot. They'll walk to the stove and start working like they're supposed to.

I was playing Seasons tonight and noticed that my option to Sleep Nude was missing. I'm using Preifor's Sleep Nude hack from Sexy Sims 2.

I downloaded the conflict detection utility from simwardrobe and it said that it was conflicting with your newest version of the ServoChangeAppearancePack.

I removed your hack and my Sleep Nude option showed up again.

Here's an excerpt from the utility report log:

I finally visited my first community lot since installing Seasons, a restaurant. The waiter & hostess showed up fine, but there was no cook at the stove.

When I ordered food, the waiter "waited" (haha) a few sim minutes, and food just appeared at the stove and he went to pick it up! I can shift-click on the stove to force an error, choose Reset, and it will cause a cook to generate as normal.

I have the OFB home shop collection and I placed a restaurant stove on a home lot, and the cook showed up fine. I saved the lot, returned and she was still there, so it's just with community lots when the glitch occurs.

I was playing the game without any hacks/mods at the time of playing, because I've got them removed, testing for other conflicts. lol

All of these questions are with the game newly installed and no hacks inside of my downloads folder.

First of all, the pool's graphics are BAD... I mean, the water is completely still... as still as the ponds. I'm guessing that it's some sort of auto-disable thing from Maxis (similar to the sims limits at parties?), but now my pools don't have any movement, reflection or anything.

Second, I can fish in my ponds; they're both deep and wide enough, but I can't actually SEE the fish in the pond until they catch them. I thought from the trailers/videos that you should be able to see them?

And, last, none of my sims will overheat or freeze to death, either one! They'll get cold (that is, their temperature gauge will turn blue and drop), but that's all that happens... In fact, it will sometimes balance back out into the green and then it won't change at all. I have heard that this could be a problem involving sims using custom content though.

All of my in game graphics settings are to either high and medium, according to what it is... My reflections are turned on and I don't see why my pool water looks so bland.
