Simmers' Paradise / General Sims 2 Discussion / How many Angelina Jolie Sims do we need?

That's true CB2001, and I know what you mean too. I know when I'm browsing sims, I find that I'm going through pages of Angelina Jolie, Brad Pitt, Johnny Depp, and others that bore me just to find the gems. Well we gotta face it...those celebs are very popular right now. Lol. I just finished an India Arie sim. Not for upload, just for me. So I don't go in for the typical either.

Well, why can't people use their imaginations when creating sims in the first place, instead of just creating celebrity clones? I know this opinion of mine may sound a bit inflammatory, but that's how I see it.
Sorry, but I just don't subscribe to this celebrity-worship drivel. It's not worship when I'm trying to sim a celeb. More or less it's a challenge to myself. I don't know. Everybody likes a different thing. Personally, while I love a well made celeb sim, I don't go in for anime sims or any of those unusual color skin or eyes...like pink, red, blue, etc. That's just me. Some people love that sort of thing and that's great. Something for everyone.

I wonder if Angelina Jolie is easier to Sim or something? I never tried to sim her, but I know from trying to make look-alikes of various other celebs for my game that some people aren't too hard and other's are totally un-simmable. Lol. MTS2 really does have some originals though...they have a great Bob Marley sim over there.

Simmers' Paradise / General Sims 2 Discussion / What was your 1st EVER sim called?

It's my habit to name mine after musicians I like for the most part because I'm un-original with names. My very first Sims 1 sim was called Lauryn Hill and she looked nothing like the actual Lauryn Hill because that was before I knew how to make custom sims. Lol. My very first Sims 2 sim was India Arie. I usually even to this day start with a single female and have them get married/have kids as I play.

Simmers' Paradise / General Sims 2 Discussion / One item/hack you can't play without?

InSIM. Duh. Lol. It does everything and has got my sims out of trouble multiple times. I've seen a couple people mention merola's multi-use painting and I have to agree it's a strong 2nd choice because it does one thing the InSIM can't as far as I know, and that's allow you to selectively max only certain motives or pick certain motives for half-drain. This helps when say when you have a burgler and everyone's up at 3:00 in the am with full energy...drain everybody's energy to half and put em back in bed. Lol. Or when you want your sim to call someone and get lots of relationship points...drain social to half. But if someone said choose only one, for sure InSIM.

Simmers' Paradise / General Sims 2 Discussion / You have been playing the Sims 2 for too long...

Lol! My main thing is that I've started interpreting every interaction any person in + or - or ++ or --. Or I start thinking about things I do as appearing in a little list in the upper left hand corner. Example tonight was: Have dinner, greet ex, Receive friendly hug --, be insulted --, chat +, gossip ++, argue --, be annoyed --, say goodbye. Then I felt a strong urge to go tip my ex's garbadge can. Lol. Or I think of people, places, or things I hate with a big red X.

Simmers' Paradise / General Sims 2 Discussion / Do you like to ruin your sims lives?
|

Lol! Yeah!
I like breaking up happy marriages mostly. For example I might have a single sim female who will usually get involved with a married man and try make friends with his wife separately. Well after her and the man are in love and her and the woman are best friends if possible, I'll invite them both over...if I haven't been able to get my sim and the wife to be friends I'll just summon her with insim and have my sim proceed to make out/woo hoo with the husband in front of the wife. I'll then use my influence to make the husband and wife fight with eachother. Lol that never gets old to me. :devill:
Another one I especially love harassing teen step-children until they run away. Lol.

Simmers' Paradise / General Sims 2 Discussion / Can you play without cheats?
|
on: September 27, 2006, 03:34:17 pm

Yes, I can and sometimes do play without cheats. It's a mood thing.
I don't consider the decorating cheats such as "snapobjectstogrid false" to be cheating at any time so if we're counting those the answer is NO I can't do it without cheating.
When I'm cheating I use lots of "motherlode" and insiminator. Lol. I've never done a "testingcheatsenabled" because I'm kind of scared it'll screw up my game.
