61  Simmers' Paradise / Where Can I Find...? / Re: Is there any good four bedroom family houses? on: July 25, 2015, 10:19:24 pm
My standard house configuration for playing is a one story (so I can see all my Sims all the time), 11 tile deep by 16 tile wide (somewhat boring) creation. It has four 4x4 corner bedrooms, two 3x4 bathrooms and an 11x8 central living area for kitchen, dining, and skilling. A mostly unfurnished version of it can be placed on a small, medium, or large lot and purchased for less than the 20,000 simoleans granted to all beginning Sims. This configuration can have 3 single beds or one double bed in any bedroom so it could sleep up to 12 Sims (and even more if you have bunk-beds custom content).

I have pictures and a discussion of it in my blog at BackAlleySims if you want to know more about it. (BAS contains adult content so I cannot provide a link to it. It is free but registration and age validation is required.)
62  Simmers' Paradise / General Sims 2 Help / Re: House crashes when opened on: June 10, 2015, 09:24:11 pm
Try removing your Downloads folder and going into the house. If it still fails then the Lot is probably corrupt (assuming you haven't been changing system files or incorrectly using SimPE on things). If it doesn't fail, then you know that something in your Downloads folder is probably the cause. Exit without saving then use the well-known practice of splitting your Downloads over and over until you determine the culprit.

If the lot crash generates an error log, then you may be able to find someone (like Chris Hatch) who could be able to make sense of it.

Yes, the downloads from Sinford Sims are a royal pain. Not only, as Joy mentioned, can you only download once every three hours, but the download host is overly confusing and if you aren't really careful you may download something else (adware) by mistake. Plus the download files are typically inflated with an extra large text file to take longer.

Many of Cenor's conversions are available in his section at Back Alley Sims (an adult site so I can't provide a link) but unfortunately the Bartender is not one of them.

Cenor has converted nearly every Maxis mesh to the CP and CP Teen shapes.

You can find the bartender conversion under the "Uniforms" sections for CP and CP Teen Clothing at his site http://www.sinford-sims2.de/cp_classic_pinup_clothing_uniforms01.php
65  Simmers' Paradise / General Sims 2 Help / Re: Sun Burn on: April 22, 2015, 07:42:50 am
Since what you described occurred indoors, then it isn't "sunburn". It sounds like heat stroke. Heat stroke occurs when your Sims become extremely overheated from physical activities or being outdoors for an extended period of time -- or both.

It sounds to me as if you have a mod that is causing this extreme reaction.
66  Simmers' Paradise / Clothing & Body Mesh's / Re: Request: Female Bodybuilder Outfits? on: March 28, 2015, 10:07:09 pm
I can't provide you any links since it is an 18+ site, but Vanity DeMise over at BackAlleySims created a female body builder shape for both teens and adults which includes fat and pregnant morphs and has sexy feet. The original BBGirl shape had neither.

She also created a multi-shoe alpha dress mesh for the shape although it is only a short dress length (about the length of the chemise).

Both EmoGuy and I have converted a few outfits using Vanity's mesh in our sections there too. Mine include casual, outerwear, swimwear and sportswear. (None of my BBG conversions would be rated anything more risqué than PG.) Vanity's adult mesh would be found in my section while her teen mesh, bodyshape, skins, and a few clothing creations by her are intermingled in the large TS2 Downloads section.

Also at BAS, Chris Hatch is working on an enhanced BBG (BBGv2) shape with more feminine curves as well as the expected musculature. He recently released the shape, but no meshes are available for it as of yet.

Other than what I've found here and at ISA for Marvine's BBGirl and at BAS for Vanity and Chris's versions, there doesn't seem to be a lot of meshes or clothing available for the female body builder shape. If you are aware of others, I'd be interested in knowing about them.
67  Simmers' Paradise / Where Can I Find...? / Re: WCIF: An outfit-replacer mod on: March 22, 2015, 03:40:12 pm
The Wardrobe Adjuster function of the Insimenator (DEST version) uses that object for its wardrobe manipulations but doesn't include all the functions you mentioned. (No townie copy and only usable by the selected Sim.)

...snipped...
I tried using the HCDU but it says there are no conflicts (I think it isn't scanning the right folder- I have the ultimate collection) Is there anything I can do to fix this or at least discover what exactly is wrong?

Regarding HCDU and Sims2 Ultimate Collection... I found this out back in July of last year and while it is a pain, it does work. I don't know if HCDU has been updated since then to support UC's different game path.

per user Orilon in my blog over at BackAlleySims (an adult 18+ site) --  "If you want to use the HCDU with the Ultimate Collection you have to create a The Sims 2 folder inside the EA Games folder, then a Downloads folder in the Sims 2 folder. Move your mods into the created downloads folder, and the HCDU will be able to find your mods. It was never updated to read any other path than EA Games/The Sims 2/Downloads. You can put your mods back after the HCDU generates its report."
69  Simmers' Paradise / Mac-Users Only Peer Support / Re: How to edit family tree on sims 2 MAC on: February 12, 2015, 11:15:46 am
Family relations can be edited using SimPE. But I don't know if SimPE is Mac-friendly or not.
70  Simmers' Paradise / Apartment Life Help / Re: Sim loses her body when showering? *Not a body shape issue* on: December 22, 2014, 11:08:17 am
Floating head = Missing mesh. Period. Whatever top/bottom mesh this skintone uses for the adult female, you don't have.

It may be a corrupted skintone file or the AF might be linked to a bodyshape that you don't use.

Using BodyShop, you could copy the skintone to a known good game skintone (one where AF displays correctly) thus creating a new skintone and fix it that way.
71  Simmers' Paradise / Where Can I Find...? / Re: H&M outfits adapted to new bodyshapes? on: November 04, 2014, 07:42:19 am
I can't provide links to an adult site here.

At BackAlleySims, Chris Hatch has created new MoD meshes and some clothing while Risiera has made additional MoD clothing using some of Chris's meshes. In addition at BAS, Snarf posted a new bootycutie multishoe mesh and Pierre's original armour princess and queen clothing meshes and a number of recolors for them are there as well.

The BAS site has rearranged a bit recently. To see the individual creator threads now, you must click the "Downloads" button at the top and then select "Personal Threads" in the list that comes up. Pierre's items are in the "Downloads", "TS2 Downloads", "TS2 BodyShop/Gender" section as he no longer has a Personal Thread. Just search there for "Amour".
72  Simmers' Paradise / Where Can I Find...? / Re: H&M outfits adapted to new bodyshapes? on: November 03, 2014, 09:15:17 pm
There are a number of clothing options for BobbyTh's shapes over at BackAlleySims (adult site) even though much of the clothing isn't adult oriented.

Loonie there has created a large amount of Bootylicious clothing. There have also been MoD and GND clothing conversions made. I don't know if any of the meshes used are H&M styles though.

74  Simmers' Paradise / General Sims 2 Help / Re: Neighborhood backups aren't showing up in Sims 2 Ultimate Collection from origin on: July 28, 2014, 09:16:05 am
Okay... Give me more info if you would...

Where (what file path) did you put your folders?
What folders (folder names) did you move there?
Did you also copy over your LotCatalog folder?
75  Simmers' Paradise / General Sims 2 Help / Re: Neighborhood backups aren't showing up in Sims 2 Ultimate Collection from origin on: July 26, 2014, 10:30:08 am
I believe that UC creates a NEW subfolder in My Documents/EA Games called "The Sims2 Ultimate Collection" where before everything went in "The Sims2" folder there.

Did you copy your files into the Neighborhoods folder within The Sims2 Ultimate Collection folder?
