16  Retired Creators / The Post-Modernist Collection / Half-Walls and Fences for Tops of Buildings on: January 04, 2008, 04:00:28 am
These are so useful, they give buildings such personality. I really appreciate these, they seem to be what the Max-idiots should have made, oh well they would have made it with triple the poly-count. I have found that my downtown part of my neighborhood is feeling more urban, less suburban. :lurk:
17  Sims 2 Community Downloads / Neighborhoods / The SC4 Terrain I did so I could have more beach lots on: October 12, 2007, 01:58:10 pm
I recently found that out also. I have been distorting BlueSomethingBay into something more useful. As I do not have BV I do not know if it will support Beachlots.

I'll post it whenever I get it to my liking, the thing that irritates me most is that there is no way to flatten terrain in SC4 to TS2's needs, even spending a hour with the flattening tool going over the same areas left me with slightly uneven plateau. Screw it I cant spell! I'll post a pic to see if there are any suggestions/interest in posting it.

I only see two files in the download? Whenever I've tried to install a new SC-4 neighborhood in my game, the only ones that will show are the ones with all 5 files, the main one and the four types of terrain. This one's not showing correctly either. Is it the files or my game?

It will show up when you load the neighborhood, those other files are preview pictures. The neighborhood does not rely on them, they are there to help you remember what layout that neighborhood is.

Sleepycat thank you for this terrain. I have been trying to make one for a neighborhood project of mine, but I just can't seem to get it right. This might work, there are so many terrains out there that don't have any water at all, they seem barren and missing something to me. I try to make hoods that will at least work for me, it is difficult though to get the sizes and any layout to look realistic.

Perrrfect, I've made a mortician/swindler who sells bodies to a "Burke & Hare" like duo, now I am going to have to create the less than sane doctor who they supply.

Now that I think about it, dose anyone ever hear of another kind from that era? One that is honest, concerned about his patients, not willing to try treatments he know will not work? No, they are boring. All we want is the crazy doctor who are cutting people up for fun, seems like many doctors are like that today also.

These will be much used, thanks for making something that has been missing for so long.

Hmmmmmmmmm, interesting. These have so many interesting possibilities it boggles my mind, they will be great for graffiti also moving ads like you are finding in so many checkout lanes these days. Thank you so much for these, they are so versatile, the possibilities are endless (and my download folder offers to die now and save me the trouble of filling it over capacity....). Off to kill the game again, my hard drive is cursing but what is new?

These look wonderful, just the right amount of pixelated grime...
23  Sims 2 Community Downloads / Sim Celebrities / Sim based on Gillian Anderson as Special Agent Scully! on: July 06, 2007, 03:41:40 pm
Did you make her skin tone? It is incredibly realistic, I have a Mulder but the Scullys I have found are awful. I have been thinking that someone needed to be investigating all of the abductions, Mulder is finally going to meet an alien.

Thank you, you have made my day. I am actually starting a legacy challenge thingy, but I have had trouble doing a starting populace to get it started. Mulder getting knocked up should introduce some variety into the neighborhood.

Now I need to decide on who Scully will marry....
24  Retired Creators / Skins for the Skinless / Pixie Continues on: May 09, 2007, 07:14:56 pm
Dances around room and steps on cat paw - yeow both of us say!

These are wonderful. I use your skins in for my medieval sims, royalty and "high" nobility get the palest skins, nobility get light, etc down to peasants, new ones will have Ruby. I use your fantasy skins for the "supernatural characters": witches, fairies, elves. Thanks for giving my sims character.

25  Sims 2 Community Downloads / Make Up / Dark Fruits~12 lipsticks for your dark natured sims on: May 07, 2007, 06:15:27 pm
My goth sims are very thankful! There are not enough high quality makeup for darker sims, or maybe I've been looking in the wrong places. Wink

I usually like more realistic makeup, but there is a certain bad-ass that really will appreciate your red lipstick. Thanks so much for spending your free time making content that improves my game!

Great! I need a grumpy in my hood (my medival & magic has Voldemort, he really don't work for a modern world).

These are so beautiful, your genetics have become a "must-have" for my game.
29  Sims 2 Community Downloads / Sim Celebrities / Marilyn Monroe on: April 12, 2007, 04:07:23 pm
She will be perfect for my retro hood. Thanks, I love it when people make sims without the painted on face to make the likeness (that's fine, but then all their offspring look to much like them and the skin can not be used for other families).
30  Simmers' Paradise / General Sims 2 Help / Too much CC on: March 23, 2007, 04:05:09 pm
People most often have the problem you are describing when they have downloaded too much CC for their comp/game engine to handle. You did not mention if BodyShop starts. What you may need to do is move all of your custom content, filter through it and slowly add it back in.

First I recommend that there is not too much stuff in any one folder. All CC and mods relating to CAS & BodyShop  goes into SavedSims. Yes mods to hid clothing work when placed there, they also work when using create-a-sim, not just the in-game create-a-family.

Second go through your downloaded files with S2CI, delete any duplicate files. This can help much more than you would think. Lastly go through you files, delete anything that you don't use. Yes this is difficult, but I found that I was not using most of my 10 pages of eyes. Something interesting I have found in putting all BodyShop related content in SavedSims: no matter the combination, BodyShop or CAS tends to crash when there are close to or more than 5,000 files in the folder.
