If he's running a Windows emulator....I think it's called, WINE or Solaris, he should still be able to get the Direct X info......And, everything should update. At least I think it should. It's been awhile since I read up on Linux platforms.

 

Did you install CEP?

I've gone without a computer for seven months before. So, two or three weeks is nothing.

It's going to take a good two or three weeks. Since my video is integrated, they have to order a new one.

The reformat didn't work. I have to take the computer in and get it fixed. Luckily, it's still covered under the warranty.

After a day of searching high and low, I finally found my Recovery Disks.

Off I go to reformat and reinstall everything.........UGH!

I'm going to reformat my hard drive and see if that helps.

One thing I might do is, not let Windows update.

HP won't let me take the computer back.

We still have a few more options left. Just can't do everything in one day. But, they think the problem lies with my video card. In the back of my mind, I kept thinking the same thing.

If I'm not mistaken, it adds some sort of reflection. Or, a shiney texture.

Wel, I've spent the last few days trying to get the game to work. I've uninstalled and reinstalled about three different times.

I've been on the phone with HP tech support for about two hours. And, nothing. It's like something sucked the life out of the computer. After about two minutes, the lagging starts, with and without Custom Content. So, I don't know where that leaves me......The game(s) is/are unplayable.

Oh well........It was fun.

On a side note, I copied down the physical memory numbers when the lagging started.
