Is may be a really stupid question.  So I'm going to lie and say I'm asking for a friend who was curious.  LOL

Lately when my Sims have kids the children no longer get the hair of one of their parents.  My male Sim has a Maxis made hair and my female has a Maxis hair that I recolored.  Used to, the girls always had her hair and the boys would all get that super short curly Maxis male hair.  Now it seems they get all kinds of random hair, mostly seems to be custom content hair usually in the same hair tone as the parents but occasionally a different color than either parent.

Okay now for the question.
Did something in the game change?  Or do I have a mod that randomly selects hair that I've forgotten that I've downloaded?  I don't even know if anything like that exists.

I have decided to start fresh.  I uninstalled everything and reinstalled the games.  Now I am having a problem getting my handful of Sims and the houses that I wanted to keep to show up.  I can get them to show up but then I have no NPCs.  I wanted to keep my own custom Sims and have fresh NPCs and townies and such.  And the houses I have downloaded will show up in the city, but they are no longer in my lot bin.  


Or some times in my efforts to restore my stuff  my game simply never loads.  I have all the the packs, including Bon Voyage and Teen Stuff.

So I need help.  Lots and lots of help.  

I wish I still had the bodyshop templates of the Sims I wanted to keep.  But some of mine that I wanted to keep were born in the game.  

Is there a way to change a Sim's file (like with Simpe or some other program) so that they would appear in Bodyshop?

The blush and lipstick and eyeliner are by ByBarcelonista.  And I just have to say that the lipstick couldn't have been more exactly like one I wear if I had took a picture of my own painted up lips.  As soon as I saw it, I said "That's mine!"

The hair is the Jeanette Biderman hair.  Which I can no longer find where I got this one from.  So if you don't have it, please feel free to just give me a nice red hair style, please.  My  hair is quite long, longer than this style but the cut is fairly similar.


I didn't include the skintone because the one I used is a default replacement and I don't want it to screw up your game. The skintone was a default replacement that I honestly cannot recall who made it. And I couldn't find who did the eyes I used when I made my Sim.  Since I didn't include the skintone, just pick one of your favorites for me.  I'm pretty fair skinned.  Got me some freckles too. So freckles are okay.

I love my eyes.  But I wasn't happy with how my Sim eyes turned out.  I have tried like 4 times to make my eye color and it never turned out to my satisfaction.  So I just had to finally give up and live with this one.  

Sorry no clothes are included either.  So dress me up however you like.  

I'm an Aries.  I know what you're thinking.  Holy crap a redheded Irish Aries .. what a lethal mixture that is!  True, I have a temper.  But I am a real kitten at heart.  You know.  Playful and fun but can scratch you for no known reason then purr innocently.  

I'm going to be honest.  The way this Sim is most not like me is the figure.  I'm short and a litte chubby.  But at least I got lucky in getting blessed in the type of curves a guy doesn't mind.  LOL So if you want it to be true to self then you'll just have to make me chubby in your own game.  LOL

I swear I had no idea how hard it would be to make myself into a Sim.  I don't think it really looks that much like myself but then again we are own worst critics.  But it is fairly close I think.  Hope you all like me.  LOL

This is Gambit (also known as Remy LeBeau) from the X-Men.  Here he is after going to the evil mutant Apocalypse who transformed him into one of his sinister Horsemen.  Apocalypse chose the Cajun mutant to be the Horseman Death. I first shared it privately with SynapticSim to get his opinion on how he turned out.  I consider Syn to be THE Sim X-Men master so his approval meant a lot to me.  Well, he suggested that I upload Death Gambit to share with others as well.  So here he is after finally getting the courage up to upload him after all this time.  He is my very first upload.  

Eyes (I'm proud of how they turned out and look much better in game than they do in the pics), brows, stubble, and skin tone are mine.  The outfit is a recolor of the trench coat outfit that came with the base game.

In my pictures, Death is wearing spiked wristbands.  Well, I couldn?t find where I had got them from.  I know I got them at MTS2 and I think they were by q3tbo, but I looked and looked and could find them anywhere.  Thought the thread was titled something about male accessories or something of the sort.  So I am not including them.  If you really want him to have spiked cuffs, I hope you have some or can find some that look good. While they look great, the do tend to poke through the cuffs of his sleeves.  

I wish the harness he is wearing was an accessory as I think it would look better. But I fail miserably at every attempt I've made at meshing.  I do notice with the collar and the cuffs that they do sort of poke through the coat a bit though so if the harness was an accessory it would likely do the same I'd think.

There's a lot of terms out there when it comes to modding that some of us may not understand, but are interested in learning how to do our own creations.  Perhaps someone could make a list of some of the common terms and explain what they mean?

Like what is UV Mapping?  Retexturing?  What exactly is skinning?  I'm sure a lot of us here would find it very helpful.  I know I would.  I have a nice folder of failed projects.  Maybe if I actually knew what was what, that folder wouldn't be so fat.  LOL
