Here's a few programs that'll help you sort out your Sims 2 downloads folder and help you find out what's what in there:

Delphy's Download Organiser:
http://www.modthesims2.com/showthread.php?t=227925

And the Sims2 Cleanpack Installer:

They take some getting used to, but once you've used them, you'll never want to be without them again.
4  Simmers' Paradise / General Sims 2 Help / recurring error messages on: June 27, 2007, 05:25:42 pm
I've had the "too many iterations" bug a few times.  It's usually triggered by an infected sim attempting to enter the lot.  The bug itself is usually caused by having too many sims in your neighborhood, or by having a sim with too many memories.  The longer you play a specific neighborhood, the more the memories will just keep building up as sims interact with each other.  I've been able to fix the problem sometimes by pausing the game after the first error message, and using the teleporter shrub (by Inge I think) to move the infected sim on to that lot.  By making them playable, sometimes it stops the problem, but it's hit and miss.  The only other thing I know of to stop this is to use SimPe to clean up your Sims' memories once in awhile.  http://www.insimenator.org/showthread.php?t=17942

You can also go into MyDocuments/EAGames/TheSims2 and delete your groups.cache file, cigen.package, and accessory.cache.  These get corrupted easily and are regenerated when you start the game again.

And for the JobData error, I can only guess.  You should start by running the Sims2 Hack Conflict Detection Utility.   http://www.insimenator.org/showthread.php?t=13633   Have you downloaded any custom careers?  You may have a mod that thinks it's a custom career too.

It adds an option to Sims' pie menu to turn free will on or off.  Click on a sim and you see an option for free will on/free will off.  You can disable free will for individual sims instead of disabling it for all playable sims on a lot.  If the sim leaves the lot to go to work or to a community lot, etc, it automatically reverts back to free will on.
6  Simmers' Paradise / General Sims 2 Help / Body Shop crashes on: May 16, 2007, 01:14:58 pm
Go back to MyDocments/EAGames/TheSims2 and delete your groups.cache and ContentRegistry as well as the cigen.package.  Move the SavedSims folder to your desktop.  Go ahead and put your Downloads folder back.  Bodyshop *should* fire right up now.

Here's a good link for BodyShop problem solving:

This should get you started:

It's a bit dated, but the newer versions of SimPe and the Clean Installer should work just as well.
9  Simmers' Paradise / General Sims 2 Help / Max for cc in Body Shop??? on: May 14, 2007, 04:09:24 pm
Here's a few things to try:
Go to MyDocumets/EAGames/TheSims2 and delete groups.cache, cigen.package, and ContentRegistry.  Give Bodyshop a try.
If it still doesn't open, then go back to MyDocumets/EAGames/TheSims2 and move your SavedSims folder to your desktop, then try again.  Once you're done with Bodyshop, move the contents of your SavedSims folder back into MyDocumets/EAGames/TheSims2, Bodyshop will have created another SavedSims folder there.
The SavedSims folder usually is the problem, unfortunately I don't know why. Sad

Here's a link to some useful BodyShop information:

I hope this helps, I love the Sims you upload here on Insim.  :daisy:

Give DDO a whirl.  You can find it here:
http://www.modthesims2.com/showthread.php?t=227925

It's similar to the Clean Installer, but it has more options and it's faster.

Here's a tutorial for recategorizing clothing using SimPe and the Clean Installer.  It's says for SimPe version 0.46 but works fine for later releases too.

Your pictures are stored in MyDocuments/EAGames/TheSims2/Neighborhoods/Storytelling.  N001 is Pleasantview, N002 is Strangeville, N003 is Veronaville, N004 and up is custom neighborhoods in the order they were created.

I'm thinking that might be the infamous Maxis thumbnails bug.  You can try deleting the Thumbnails folder from mydocuments/eagames/thesims2, but be warned, this will slow down your game in CAS until the thumbnails are all refreshed.
