The Sims 3 / Sims 3 Buzz / Re: How do you feel about seeing the same objects in TS2 in TS3?

you can clearly see that the same objects from TS2 will be in the TS3 albeit recolored 100 times, this sort of ticks me off because I would think that EA would atleast add new objects to a *new* game I think if it means we will see these items in TS3 quicker, then its fine. Even the pool table / darts / diving board animations etc., just recycle them all. They were good enough in TS2 and they would still be fine in TS3. And as for timelines, they're better left out of it altogether. I don't wanna see a future sims game without mobile phones or PC's in it just because its set before their era.

I mainly use maxis hoods, and never have gotten the in-hood fly-by intro since I have put Gunmod's Camera Hack in. So I am quite surprised that you still get the fly-by.
In actual fact I would love to have it back!:sad4:

When I think about it, the amount of work you have to do to get new self-interactions such as 'Look For Mark' and 'Rally Forth', and then this mod gives you about 8 new ones straight off the bat for no effort on our part!
Amazing mod. Adds a lot to the emotion of sims.

- is there any way to get rid of those annoying videos that play every single time a pre-made neighbourhood is loaded? I know what Strangetown looks like already, I don't need a "helicopter tour" every time I want to play it... :x This doesn't happen for me because I use gunmod's camera hack (v3.1?). I don't think I could play without it.

I know how to do this, and have sworn by it for a while.
If you delete the following files from your TSData>Res>Sound folders OF EACH SIMS GAME/SP/EP, you will get no music apart from turning on stereos.
Buy Build Neighbourhood Splash CAS In apartment life I also had to delete MISC.
This stops music from playing in all the modes listed above (splash being loading screens) It didn't work at first, after I deleted all the build/buy music, the music from neighbourhood took its place. Weird. But after deleting ALL of those I am now free from the music that was forced upon the game. Its awesome in neighbourhood view when all you can hear is the cars, the wind and the rain.
Of course in your case you might want to just delete the Splash files. When you load a new lot the music will be gone also.

Resident Creators / Mod Requests / Workers at computers request

Well I read the thread and it seems that computers become autonomous even for residential lot guests. I don't fancy my guests hogging my home PC in the game (that happens enough in real life!) The computer autonomy, the way I have envisaged it, would be work environment only.
So no. This isn't really the answer. Close though.

Well, any of those computer interactions would do the job. Even better if those interactions have different animations from each other (do they?) then all of them could possibly be incorporated. The earning money part would be nice, not for me (I am just after the "daily grind" scenario) but for other people, yes, they want it. It's obviously a more basic scenario than hotfooting it around a store, talking up customers, so maybe the profit should reflect that? Inge has declared an interest along with Lion here http://www.moreawesomethanyou.com/smf/index.php/topic,13133.0.htmlperhaps you could team up? Not sure what other details could be provided really. I'll check back later

Hi Chaavik (ALL EP's)
I had that computer before in FT. Unfortunately though as you said its not autonomous so directing 8+ workers to work on there computers isn't ideal.
Looking for something that would allow an "office work place" would depend on autonomy.
Cheers.

Simplish request on the face of it:
Can anyone do a hack to make employees autonomously work at the computer so that we can have office community lots....... please!
Most ideal would probably be a hack to enable "Management...assign...computer" but a hacked objects affecting sims on the premises could do the job as well?
Any takers?:sad4:
