1  The Sims 3 / Sims 3 Help / Re: The Sims 3: What should I DO??? on: June 07, 2009, 04:55:34 pm
Okay. But according to Wednesday17, there isnt even a need to uninstall anything. The sims 3 will work fine with or without the sims 2 installed on the same drive? See, I have a plugin- a personal media drive for my computer in which I store MY things. Its memory isnt really shared with the computer itself. It has about 300 GB of space. And it currently still has about 240 GB of space meaning everything should be working fine right?

Ok thanks everybody! I need to take in all of this useful information.

BTW lol nooooo I know not to run the programs at the same time...but some people might try. Thanks anyways
Also, I just ran the test and my computer exceeds minimum requirements by a longshot so its not my comp.

AND one more thing. To TheRaven: The only reason for reinstalling EP's/SP's in order is so that it doesn't mess up saved games right? If I don't care about saved game files then not only is there no reason to back everything up on cds or whatever but there is no need to worry about reinstalling things in order (if I ever even decide to)? Sorry, did I make that understandable?

Hey everybody. Well I guess the sims 3 is great and all......but I need help with something. When I had the sims 2 all I did was add tons of custom content --- like 3,000 downloads. And I had alot of expansion packs which also slowed the game down. Well I figured I would just leave the sims 2 on my computer and put all the custom content downloads onto another file on my desktop to make lots of room for the sims 3. But now that I have installed the sims 3, its lagging a crap load -- and I haven't even downloaded any custom content. Yes I am using high texture details and stuff like that but still. So my main question is....should I uninstall all of my the sims 2 stuff including expansion packs and stufff packs and all in order for the sims 3 to work perfectly?? Please give me some professional advice. Thanks

Hey everybody its katushima. I havent posted in a while but today I found something that I really want and need - On the website sims 2 libido....... http://www51.tok2.com/home/sims2libido/ .......well the thing that sucks is the website just says "coming soon." I dont understand because the webstie was fine a few weeks ago. Apparently its closing down because if your lucky enough to find a link like this one.......... http://www51.tok2.com/home/sims2libido/libidomain/download/Japasimsstyle_main.htm ....then you can see if you try to download anything from any of those pages it just says page not found. This website always had average stuff but there is one download that is really amazing. I never had a chance to download it and thats why im really wondering if anyone has this object and can send it to me. The object is on this page.... http://www51.tok2.com/home/sims2libido/libidomain/download/Japasimsstyle_05.htm
..... and is the big standing lamp "Kamon Chouchin." As you can see the object is amazing so please - is there anyone outhere that could get that for me somehow? Thanks

Ok that didnt help me at all. Where is the mesh? If you actually went and looked you probably would have seen that it said "mesh and recolors by tetuo" and that should all be included with the download. Please go there again and actually try. Thanks

Hey everybody! I've searched literally every sims 2 website outhere to try to find a tradtional japanese lamp. (I know I'm a dork) Anyways, and I FINALLY came across the PERFECT most AMAZING lamp here: http://www.sweetsims.com/meshes/sweetsims_sims_furniture.html
The problem? It doesn't show up in the game! So can someone please download it and figure out how to make it work right? I'd really appreciate it!
And if anyone needs this info, I have ALL expansion packs and then I have four stuff packs: Family Fun, H&M fashion, Glamour Life, and Teen Style.
10  Simmers' Paradise / General Sims 2 Help / Japanese door recolor problems on: June 08, 2008, 05:54:38 pm
Hey can some1 please go to http://www.insimenator.org/showthread.php?t=80536&highlight=japanese+stuff and download page 10 under megativity13's reply. (page 10 is a bunch of japanese recolors for the maxis wachowt door, and a few window recolors) The problem is, the only recolor is on the frame. Meaning the door or window looks the exact same except the frame of it is in a dark rosewood recolor. So some one please find out for me how to actually use the recolors. thanks

14  Simmers' Paradise / General Sims 2 Help / Wall Limits on: May 09, 2008, 10:24:23 pm
I love using the CFE cheat to really enhance the sims 2 architecture. I love being able to make walls at a custom height. But the lowest default level for a wall is the same height of a foundation. (when the foundation is on perfectly flat land) And that is a problem cuss there are many times that I need the walls to be even shorter. So does anyone know how I can somehow change this? So that I can make a wall shorter than 4 clicks?
