How do i become a witch i have'nt figure it out yet where to find the witches? the cauldron anything please help :

Ever since i  installed AL i cant place doors or windows it keep saying place on middle tile, so i used the move objects cheat and then when i go back to live mode the doors and windows are gone please help i dont know if this is a glitch or what i havent been able to build any houses yet.

I will find me a rich sim and get married and start a family.

I heard its only in dvd format if thats the case it wont work on my pc. does anyone know if this is true?
