They moved with such stunningly deadly accuracy that the slow moving human never had a chance. Their eyes glittered with sheer beauty, pink gems set in flawlessly sculpted faces. Their skin varied in shades of colors humans used to paint forests with. They personified nature and one wondered if the true original shades of color ever discovered were the colors of their skin. On their brows swirled intricate patterns such as leaves and silver embossing that obviously displayed rank. The humans face shone with wonder at their perfection.
Hunger radiated from the silent pack, but they quivered in place, as if waiting for a cue. They parted and a slender figure strolled forth, it's slender curves belying it's gender.
She curled her lips up at the sides in a humorless smile, showing fangs that, unbeknown to the naked eye, were tipped with a deadly poison. Her eyes glittered with lazy curiosity as they flicked up and down, taking in the human.
His eyes stared back in an attempted act of bravery, but fear wafted off him. His skin was tanned and stretched over the hard muscle in his body. His shirt clung to his flat stomach in a way that would be appealing to female humans, while his dark blond hair fell softly in his gold flecked chocolate eyes.
She took another step forward and, in a lightning quick movement, captured his wrist by wrapping her long, thin fingers around it. Lifting it gently, as though it was and injured bird, she raised it to her nose and inhaled deeply. Her sigh was one of pure ecstasy and she closed her eyes. Taking her momentary blindness as an opportunity to escape, the human snatched his hand back.
He only made it a few steps before his body slammed violently into the ground, as if he had been struck from behind; however, no one stood close to where he now lay.
A low, albeit distinctly feminine chuckle reverberated in his ears and shivers crept all along his spine. The female he had attempted to escape from now stood by him. He took her in. Her white hair glowed brightly in the full moonlight, strands falling in front of her shoulders to frame her delicate face. Her skin shone peach and she would have seemed human were it not for the pattern around her eyes and on her forehead. The design somehow brought attention to and distracted from her eyes at the same time. Her eyes glittered a luminescent shade of breath-taking pink. She was petite, yet moved with the authority as though she towered above her pack.
He never saw her foot move, just felt a sharp pain erupt in his ribcage which caused him to roll onto his back.
"Much better," She sang, locking her eyes onto his. "Now, what is your name,
delicious?" She purred. Her voice was melodic, dipping up and down in ranges as she spoking, giving the impression she was constantly singing.
Disgusted at being called delicious, the helpless victim set his jaw. To his horror, the words tripped off his tongue, which he promptly clamped his teeth down on when he finished speaking, "Demetri." The metallic taste of blood seeped through his mouth and he spat.
Ignoring the slightly pink blot of spit that just narrowly missed her bare foot, she continued to speak, "Ah, very interesting. Well you needn't know
all our names, but mine is Alina. You shan't get acquainted with us, for you'll be dead soon enough." Her smile was taunting, sapping all the hope from his body. She bent her pointer finger and the pack closed in, sealing any exits. He sprang up, preparing to get a few valiantly before he went down. She chirped a string of notes that would have seemed beautiful were they not signaling the end of his existence...
