1  Simmers' Paradise / Where Can I Find...? / Re: Stop sims sleeping so early? on: September 04, 2014, 04:24:39 am
In all my years of playing TS2, I've never seen them go to sleep with reasonable motives, except after woohoo on occasion.  Do you have any mod that forces them to sleep at a set time?

If you haven't already, delete the NeighborhoodManager.package.

Make sure the saved neighborhoods don't have the same ID as the generated ones.  Get a bulk renaming utility if you need to fix them.

Pescado has a mod at MATY to fix this.

If you don't have it already, get the Pescado's Lot Debugger from MATY.

Any time you have a sim or object turn invisible, you can Force Error using the Lot Debugger to make invisibles visible again.  It will reset the lot, making those as school or work pop in by the mailbox and possibly get dinged for not going to school or work, so use it when most are home.  6 am is best.

The safeguard for preventing infant and toddler death, and even children in the case of neglect, is the Social Worker.  If the little one's needs reach a critical level, the Social Worker shows up and takes the child.  If you have a mod that prevents the SW from appearing, death may occur.

You know that old saying.  What comes around, goes around.

Go into debug mode and try forcing an error on the swimmers.

Time controller could very well be your problem, especially if it hasn't been updated for the AL/MG.  I've got an AL update for Monique's aging mod on Simbology if you need that.  Well I think it's there.  Users got together and posted my mods there when my site died and I left the game.  Most time and aging mods were developed before the introduction of apartments as a residential lot.  AL changed some of the internals for detecting lot type, which may have broken your Time Controller mod.

If you want selected sims not to age, the aging mod my be your better option.  If you want no sims to age, just entering the cheat Aging Off will stop all autonomous aging.

Have you patched your game?  The problem you describe with going on vacations was identified after BV was released, and I don't remember I don't remember if the patch fixed it or not.  I tend to not send my sims on vacations because of the way I play.  They can't afford it.

I think about all you can do is summon your sims home, but give up on the original lot.  Maybe changing the lot type from residential to community, then back again will make it playable, but I've never tried that.

With only one lot freezing like this, a global mod can be ruled out, but not object mods.  I would think it doesn't have anything to do with bodyshop type items or objects and recolors as those don't have anything to do with modifying the game beyond making eye candy.  The time of the freeze, leads me to believe that it could have something to do with aging, as 6 pm is the time playable sims age.

Take a look at the lot to see if you have any objects that allow you to alter aging.  If you don't find anything, or if removing what you do find doesn't fix the problem, use Pescado's Batbox for force errors on the entire lot.  This will make "invisible" objects appear again do you can delete any aging object that may have disappeared unexpectedly.
12  Simmers' Paradise / General Sims 2 Help / Re: Debuging problems..please really need some help thank you on: February 03, 2014, 03:24:19 pm
I can only hope that Broomhilda is still looking at this thread rather than never coming to the site again.

The problems you are describing are not related to CC, that is, clothing, unmodded objects or recolors, but to mods that change the behavior of the game.  In fact the problem you are describing with not being able to go to work is a symptom of the wrong version of Inteen, although it could be another mod.  As Joy mentioned, mods are very much dependent on EPs, so much so that mods that are out of day may cause continuous errors.  Since you are playing with testingcheatsenabled, are you getting popups about errors?  Those shouldn't solely be ignored, canceled or deleted, but someone should look at the error log file it mentions and determine what mod is causing the error.  That someone can be here or on Simbology.  Both have knowledgeable users who are willing to help solve your problems.

14  Simmers' Paradise / General Sims 2 Help / Re: Does anyone knows how to edit/modify cheap computer (moneywell) animation? on: August 29, 2013, 04:30:40 am
Honestly, if you have never modded a BHAV before, the computer is not the place to start.  It's an extremely complex set of BHAVs just to do simple things, and , in my opinion, your desire is a little more complex.

If you are set on trying, start with the tutorials on MTS and then build your skills beginning with very simple mods, browse the objects.package and mods of others.  You will eventually reach a point where you can make heads and tails of the computer behaviors and then start to change them.  If you're lucky, after around 6 months of studying and trial and error.

@ Raven  Just to clarify, chairs, tables and desks have no behaviors associated with computers.  They are simply surfaces to put things on.  Everything related to the computer are tied to the computer.  This include what the computer can be placed on, what the sim would sit on, and what animations are used.

@ajy There is a semi-global that checks to see what kind of chair is being used (dining chair).  It may be possible to modify that BHAV to have it additionally check for the barstool.  The nightmare is the semi-globals for the computer are truly like a plate of spaghetti.  There may be additional places the chair is addressed.  There may be places the surface, table or desk, are addressed.
