16  Simmers' Paradise / General Sims 2 Help / Re: Does anyone knows how to edit/modify cheap computer (moneywell) animation? on: August 28, 2013, 12:38:44 pm
I don't know a thing about animations, but I would think there's something tied to the animations, surface, or computer that indicate the height of the animation.  If there is and you find it, you could play with the numbers to see what would work for you.

From what I've been able to tell, foxybaby is still around with TS3.  It might be time for some pm's to her referring her back to your post for pictures to see if she still has those set available.

Foxybaby as foxybaby3 has a number of downloads available on TSR.

20  Sims 2 Community Downloads / Misc. Mods and Careers / Adult NPCs and Defaut NPC Clothes on: July 15, 2013, 11:31:31 am
This mod will change the age of elder NPCs, the nanny, repairmen, and all the others, to adults.  The Butler and Headmaster that could be elder or adult will only be adult.

By itself, all the NPCs effected will wear casual clothing.  I've created default replacements for the nanny, both elder and adult (tweed jacket and slacks), the repairman for elder and adult (actually the elders red flannel shirt and jeans flagged for adults), and the maid (uses housekeeping uniforms from Bon Voyage).

Download at Simbology.  Registration not required.  Be sure to check out BoilingOil's mods, in addition to TwoJeff's work.

As far as I can tell, the only reason for Insim would be to have access to some of the uni related cheats.  When I was playing around with Squinge's mod to decide whether I wanted it in my game or not, I never used Insim for anything.  I'm not even sure if I had it in my game.

I'm surprised Simpathetic isn't on that list ranabluu linked to.  Your puffballs aren't here, but a fair amount of urban and ethnic inspired genetics and fashions are.

CJ-SmarterFoodServing.package
CJ-CallToMealFix.package
BO - Children Get Bottles.package

These 3 mods are the only ones I saw related to food.  Both Cyjon and Boiling Oil are very conscientious modders that thoroughly test their mods for the EPs they are made for.  Pull out these files and see if the problem goes away.  If it does put one back in at a time until you find the problem.  Then check the modder's site for EP requirements.

It could be a problem with outdated custom plates as already suggested.  Two of the errors you posted suggest that as a possibility, especially with the randomness of the other header information.  It could also be outdated mods.  Get Paladin's Hack Conflict Detection Utility (www.simwardrobe.com under programs), run that, and if you can't make sense of it, post the output file.  Logs\CustomContentObjects.txt could be useful too.
25  Simmers' Paradise / Where Can I Find...? / Re: Library Community Lot on: June 01, 2013, 03:51:09 am
I don't have the EAxis Uni hoods on my computer, but here's something you could try.  Find the library in those three hoods that you feel would be closest to what you want.  It should be a community lot already, but just in case, change the lot zoning to community.  Move the lot to the lot bin.  Place it back so you campus has a library again, and it should remain in the lot bin.  Then place it in the neighborhood you want it, and make any changes to suit your needs.
26  Simmers' Paradise / General Sims 2 Help / Re: kids and teens coming home with adults after work on: May 30, 2013, 10:48:22 am
I'd say it only works on hobby sims.
To keep the cow away, or any sim of any manner, TwoJeff's Visitor Controller is probably the best mod available (www.simbology.com)
Ghosts are another being though.  Make a community lot and move gravestones to the newly created cemetery.  Or lay a foundation in the back corner of your lot, no stairs, and place the gravestone at least one square from the edges.

As long as you don't remove the file or delete the napkin holder, the mod is available in that household.  It will only be available to use if you have a hobby friend come home with you.  If the hobby friend isn't on the lot and you can always try it.

I'm pretty sure the toddler and non-interactable NPC were before the FT patch.  I don't believe the adult/teen issue was ever addressed since you can interact with them.

Monique had a mod to ask about friends coming home from work (MTS for sure, maybe here also).  Twojeffs based his mod asking about children coming home from school off of Monique's mod (Simbology).

If mods are desired, TJ's Visitor Controller will allow specific sims to be banned from the lot, so the offending teen can be gone forever.  But if the desire is to keep it a clean game, there's not much to be done about it short of forcing the sim to die in some cruel manner (building a room around him in a far corner of the lot with no doors or food, removing the ladder when he's swimming).

Unless I had a reason to keep them around, children or teens in the house, I'd just send them on their way as they stepped out of the car.  Eventually they stopped, but just coming home a couple times adds a friend to the household.  Works for job promotions for me   Grin.  As far as stopping them altogether, I don't think I did anything and eventually they stopped.

I remember a had a toddler coming home a couple times, too!  Then there were bus/carpool drivers, hot dog cooks, and other NPCs that you cannot interact with at all.
30  Simmers' Paradise / General Sims 2 Help / Re: Clean Installer Error Messages, desperately seeking help!!!!!! on: May 16, 2013, 02:07:23 pm
That's true Raven.  There is a memory leak in the game, i.e., memory is not released when no longer needed, and the game reaches a point where it wants memory and can't get it because it's already hogging it all.  I'd have to run task manager to monitor usage and then force a crash to say where it is, but it's easier just to restart the game periodically.
