I've caught all the other bugs and was surprised to have caught one while on a tour on vacation. I've been bug hunting so many times and still can't find the last bug. The strategy guide doesn't say anything about finding the bugs except for doing the bug hunt option does anyone know any other way to find the last bug or anything would be helpful I've tried just about everything to find the last bug with no luck.

can someone please explain to me how it works and how to get my sims reputation positive?

I was playing the game and moved my sim into an apartment. I wanted to buy some different stuff for them like a telescope for instance and it won't allow me to place it on the lot?
Am I doing something wrong?

My game keeps freezing up on me and the only way I can get out of my game is to shut the computer down manually. I have no custom content installed. I have updated the video card driver. I think I have all the sytem requirements.

I have a Dell XPS with Intel Core Duo2 3.0GHz processor, Nvidia GeForce 8600 GTS dual 256MB video card, 320GB NCQ Serial ATA Hard Drive (7200 RPM) w/ 16MB DataBurst Cache, Microsoft Windows XP Media Center Edition 2005,English for Dimension XPS 600.

I also have all ep's and stuff packs. Can someone help me???

i know this may seem like a dumb question but on my computer i can't play either game when they are both insalled... so i uninstalled all my sims2 games so i could play the "stories" games and now i want to play my sims2 games so i uninstalled all the "stories" and tried to install my sims2 games and after putting in the 2nd disc of the sims2 and an error message pops up saying "a problem occurred when trying to transfer the file TSdata-res-sound-voice6.package from the media." and it won't finish installing.

i don't have any problems with the sims2 game until after i install any of the "stories" games. so i'm wondering if while installing those games if they possibly install something that doesn't get taken out when uninstalling them and if that's incompatible with the sims2 games?

My game just started doing this, it's like when you play a c.d. the music skips...
well in the game as i start it up the music starts skipping and it freezes.
i took all my downloads out of the game and it still does it...
can someone help me fix this?
or tell me what's going on?

I'm having so many issues with this game I don't even know where to begin. and most of the time it's when I have no downloads in the game. sometimes it works fine...for a little while and other times it just don't work at all. I think the game is cursed! I really do...

Okay now that I'm done venting...
The game won't start unless you delete the .cache files all the time and after deleting them if I want to go back into the game I have to restart my computer. I read somewhere in this forum that you also have to delete the thumbnails I haven't done that. Does that mean I have to go into the thumbnails folder and delete everything in there or can i just delete the thumbnails folder each time? And would this fix the problem I'm having or should I just uninstall the whole game and reinstall it?

I think I have gotten rid of all the hacks and stuff that don't work with bon voyage...
so after installing everything what is the best way to put all my cc back in?
like all my houses, families and neighborhoods I've had since seasons do I put them back in the game before I install bon voyage? and my downloads folder after bon voyage?

Oh, yeah, what's the best way to uninstall the game am i suppose to go to control panel or where it says uninstall the sims2____ (bon voyage, seasons,etc...)?

And which folders should I be backing up?

I just want to make sure I'm doing this right, because I want my game to work perfectly....

Okay, I share my game with my friend and she has the hardest time befriending bigfoot...
I've never had a problem befriending bigfoot and I really don't try that hard all I did was to allow my sim to fish with bigfoot until the relationship scores were up enough and then I checked my vacation checklist thingy and it shows up that I met that goal...
So, I watched her play thinking she did something wrong or something and the stuff she did shouldn't make it not appear she chatted, admired,joked,gave gifts, etc...
and the realtionship scores were both over where they were suppose to be (top was 100 and bottom was over 6, she had it at 14 when I checked it) and it didn't satisfy that vacation goal? I've tried this several times and she's tried this several times and everytime I was able to get my sim to fulfill that goal and everytime she tried it she was unable to fulfill that goal. We've done this with downloads and with nothing in the game.
Can anyone explain this to me?
I told her she was just trying to hard, but I really don't think that's the real problem...

Okay, this is a little complicated. I have a brand new computer because the old computer I had was ruined in a flood (including the external hardrive that had all my games backup files). I had taken my old computer in to see if maybe they could possibly retrieve the game data so I could have all my custom content back. They were having trouble with this so, I went ahead and installed all my new (i bought all new games because I wasn't able to get the ones I lost in a flood, they are stuck in a desk) games (all ep's and stuff packs up to bon voyage). I played a little and I downloaded new stuff I only ran into one problem where I wasn't able to use the massage table, but I'm pretty sure this is do to something I downloaded and I think I can fix that problem by going through my new downloads.

A few weeks went by and I got a phone call saying that they were able to retrieve my game files from the destroyed computer. So, I backed up my new downloads and other game content and I put it aside. Then I uninstalled all my games. Then, this may be where I screwed up but I installed all the games up to seasons (where I left off with the old computer) then my game files (I just put the sims 2 file in mydocuments/EA games and deleted the other sims2 file). I have all my stuff and got back-ups just in case. I went in the game and checked everything, everything seemed to be working fine.

Then I went ahead and installed the last 2 stuff packs and bon voyage which I didn't have installed on the last computer.I had to reinstall my downloads folder because it must have erased some (or all) of my downloads. I have all my stuff now, but when I go on vacation I went to 3 lakes and it wouldn't allow me to do the gesture, I decided to check Takemizu and it allowed me to do only the chest pound gesture? I know that the gesture for Takemizu is the bow not the chest pound gesture...

So, after discovering this I removed my downloads folder and went back into the game I am now allowed to do the chest pound gesture in 3 Lakes but in Takemizu I still get the chest pound gesture. I also noticed that in 3 Lakes I tried to join in on the slap dance but the icon would pretty much disappear as soon as I clicked on the option to do so in the pie menu.

So there may be something bad in my downloads folder... I can deal with that, but what could be causing this problem when my downloads folder isn't in the game? I haven't installed the patch yet but I haven't seen anyone with this problem either. I just have a feeling that the patch won't help the problem, anyways. I'm thinking that maybe something in my old game files got installed somewhere other than the downloads folder and is causing a problem with the game, but I have no idea where to look.

Please help me!

Can this be done? I downloaded some skintones that replaced the defaults but they look really bad in my game. I tried deleting the files, but that didn't work. Can someone help me fix this?

The home we were living in was flooded and I've finally been able to get a new computer and all my sims2 games and stuff packs. I had somewhere like 22,000 downloads for my game, that I have downloaded over the years and now they're all gone. The funny thing (okay so it's not that funny) is that I had everything backed up onto an external hardrive and I always made updates of my files often so that I wouldn't have to deal with losing everything...

So, if anyone could help me find some of the things I've lost I would be very greetful.

I need to find a blur/censor remover
some anatomically correct skintones (I am well over age 18)
some skintones in general like alien skintones, etc...
the helping hand for the university
some OFB hacks like i used to have this painting that builds up the customer ratings and a bear statue that gives you all the gold badges
a telescope that allows you to be abducted by aliens
clothing for male (all ages), teens, children, toddlers, elders and young adults (adult females are easy to find clothing for)
Big (as in huge) tv
new outerwear clothing (for seasons)
a bender (from futurama) robot
a table that had 2 peices an end peice and a middle peice that allows you to make a table as big as you want it.

That's pretty much all I can think of for now, but these are some of the things I'm having trouble finding on my own (considering I lost all the links that was in my favorites folder on my old computer that could have taken me to some of the sites that I use to download stuff from)

i can't find my holiday stuff. i'm not sure exactly when it really went missing because i have uninstalled and reinstalled my game several times since i downloaded the holiday stuff pack. i backed up my downloads folder, my neighborhoods and all that stuff pretty much everything in the sims2 folder in my documents. i remeber 1 time using the ea dowloader which i had saved to an external hardrive (because i also got a brand new computer) and it worked the last time (which was a while ago) i had to reinstall everything. now it doesn't work at all and i can't find anything about it because i think it redownloads it from the internet. i remember my password and username and everything but i can't find it anymore...
if anyone could help me with this problem in anyway please let me know.

This is actually my first time posting here. So it's nice to meet everyone.
Anyways, I just got Seasons today and after backing up my files, like a good girl, and I messed around with the game a little not really much though as it is now 2am and i installed the game around 9pm-ish. I did notice that I, too have graphic problems, but that didn't really concern me at the time. I removed my whole downloads folder (which contains 16256 files, someone was bragging about their 4000-ish files somewhere) and went into the game I was looking for the stuff to build a greenhouse and was going to play around with stuff, after not being able to find the stuff for the greenhouse in build mode which is where I assumed it would be. I gave up and decided it was time to put my downloads back into the game to see if maybe by some miracle I wouldn't have a problem with the game and everything would work beautifully. Of course, not, but I still had to see how bad it could be.  So, this is what happened, I clicked on a house and the screen froze, Of course I tried this on more than one house waiting the 15-ish minutes it takes to load up my game each time just to have the screen freeze on me each time.

Obviously, I have a hack that doesn't agree with the new EP.
So, I guess tomorrow I will have to sort through all my hacks and find out what is causing the problem and with everything I have it could be more than one thing and probably is.
