I usually make a sim of my ex and then burn the house down or drown him. Takes too long to starve him. But it does take the edge off my hatred for him and is a legal thing to do. I wouldn't do that in RL, but fantasy can be a healthy way to take revenge. At least that is what my therapist used to tell me before she pronounced me cured....

omg that is too funny! Poke Laugh2

^ now that is funny, mostly because I only found out about the needing ladder thing because it happenned to someone else. I was gonna have a pool party, that would have been bad. I wonder what happens if visitors die on your lot?

I had a visitor die on my lot but no Grim showed up to ask anyone to beg...I guess it's because she was a new aquaintance.  Anyhoo, she just hung out haunting that family but no one really ever acted scared from her so it didn't bother me.

My avi pic was my favorite lil surprise.  After I've "trained" my sims Wink I'm given to watching them live rather then constantly interfering. I'm virtually new at this so it may not be a "discovery" to long time players but it was a fun one for me.

It happened one lazy happy morning after the dad and mom had spent the morning together. I followed to see where the dad was going and as he got upstairs, one twin crawled over to the other and started dancing (in sync).  The dad was headed for the one who joined in but changed his mind and instead began dancing with them.   It was soooo adorable!

Cracked me up when the dad really got into his groove and started making all these hilarious moves; the dancing wasn't new for me but the trio was simply sweet and funny.

Of course I snapped a pic. Heart

I'm very happy to see that your site is still up. I was sad and very very confused when I went to search for it one day and found a simple add on the page giving links to go to for the sims 2. My computer had crashed a few months ago, and so I lost everything because of a stupid worm... Sad But again happy to see that your  back.. Smiley Grin Wink

So glad to see so many finding their way back.  Thanks to all involved~ I salute you O Pirate King  Praise

I must have missed all the glorious discussions on the name in all the rucus.  I don't associate the name insimenator or insim with the unamed unseemly ex-site owners/creators.

InSim is the community that out lived it's betrayal & the creators, members, moderators,(rebel with a cause) who saved it.  If people want to find the mod that's here too; so keeping the name is only logical imho.  Seems a better way to thumb your nose at the 2 who thought themselves the wiser.

As one who came along at a time when they had made themselves scarce long before the sell out, I never knew them anyway, & it was quite easy to see that it was the folks here that made the site what it is.

But heck you could call it "Cookies & cream", somewhere in the back of my head I'd be thinking 'oh u mean InSim' anyway.

& omg Giggle  xsweetruinx did you really just explain how to use the address bar? Cheesy

i am probably most likely wrong, but i think i remember changing the face of an NPC using the Insiminater before. That way you could at least make her prettier or uglier or whatever, though you couldn't change her age... But what if you made her selectable?

The "social adjuster" part of the insim gives you the options to "fix appearance" & choose the age (i.e.adult, teen, etc,) of an NPC once you make them selectable.:happy8:

Umm... That's probably because they were Sims2Pack files and not .package files. Sims2Pack files need to be installed while .package files are automatically read by the game. Sims2Pack files are for TS2, the SLS files are called something different but the concept is the same - .package files get read, the LSPack files or whatever they're called need to be installed.

Thanks but that's way too easy, lol.  If you look below you can see that SLS welcome pack items like the DJ booth & the Drum set are .package files not the clearly recognizable Sim2Pack files:

I'm not an expert but those look like .package files to me.  At any rate all files that I have placed in my dl folder that looked like the second two above have worked immediately after placing them in there.

It was the S2pack files that gave me the idea of trying to use S2clean installer to "install"  the welcome pack items and see if it made the flies usable to me (i.e., appear in the game).  So it worked for me and that's why I passed the info on.   Hope it helps.

I don't have pet stories, but I've had SLS since July...yet the welcome pack was unusable to me until a week or so ago. I had them in my dl folder but for some reason the game didnt recognize them.

My problem had a simple solution: I opened my dl folder and selected the item (i.e., welcome pack items) and used "open with" choosing Sim2Pack clean installer; then I simply clicked install and when I when back to my game the content showed up.

Nothing changed about the way the package looked in my downloads folder it just was now recognized.

I don't know why those packages needed that extra step--since I usually just put stuff in the folder and it shows up automatically, but it worked so I'm satisfied.
