1  The Sims 3 / Pudding Requests / Re: Sgoobysnacks29's Greek statue collection from Sims 2 to Sims 3 conversion on: December 07, 2011, 06:03:32 am
I second this request I think it would make an excellent addition to the Sims 3 experience.  Could you please keep it base game compatible.
Please and Thank you

Keep in mind that EA doesn't allow for file sharing between games, only eps and sps.  So when you install Sim3 you will lose everything you had and will have to start all over again.  I have not been playing for long and have been keeping my games simple in anticipation of the new game but my heart goes out to all the people who have been simmers for years and have collected libraries full of custom content it will be back to square one for them if they install this game.  I son't think that Ea takes into account that many player have been playing through generations of sims and they offer no way to continue that into the next game.

I play the Sims in order to escape into a better world than the one I live in. As a person who has seen death first hand I can tell you that it is not a game and it is not fun.  When people die they are dead there is no reset button, you can't exit without saving and return to find them waiting for you.  I don't even like the kind of mayhem that is written into the game in the first place. Never you fear though as evidenced by the large number of violent games selling like hotcakes these days there are people out there who will provide you with all the carnage MODs you can handle. I hope you enjoy it in your game, and never have to see it in real life. It is completely different to sit there with your dead best friend resting his head in your lap after you pull him out of the sea, or to hold your mother's cold dead hand at her funeral her body turning black because you could't afford to take an earlier flight. or watching your father as he is slowly eaten away by a voracious disease. Death is not a game to me and if there isn't already enough evil in the world for you, you can have all of my share anytime you want it
4  Simmers' Paradise / Tutorials / Re: Micro-tutorial: Loading movie, be gone! on: December 17, 2008, 11:08:25 am
Once I buy it it's my game and I shouldn't have to deal with their "AD" every time I want to play I've seen the movie I know who created the game, it's on the box and the in game credits section.  The movie was cute the first three times and now, thank god, it's gone.

I thought that it would.  I had sims2 installed and it worked fine,  I think it ran at 1040x900 or somthing like that, but this double deluxe pack doesn't go over 600x800 and I can't figure out why.   I've tried everything that I can think of but nothing helps.  I think I will Have to return it and keep playing with my original game. It's A real bummer but maybe I'll get bon voyage I think my sims would like a swin in the ocean.

Thanks for all your help everyone and if anyone does figure this one out, please post the solution so the next guy can find it.

I just bought Sims2 double deluxe and installed it but I cant get it to go above 800x600 screen res.  I checked the requirements on the box and my system exceeds them I have updated my driver through nvidia and windows updates and it still wont budge.  I even followed the insructions at maxis. The games seems to work fine but my monitor requires that I run at 1680x1050 for a sharp picture. Does anyone know of a fix for this. otherwise it's going back to walmart:blob6:
