Simmers' Paradise / Where Can I Find...? / WCIF: Invisible Computer/ Decent Medieval Computer Substitute
|

Hello again. Does anyone know where I could find an invisible computer or something that wouldn't look horribly out of place in my medieval hood? I'm kind of picky, so I'll really appreciate your help. Xanathon made a PC "personal conjurer" over at MTS2, but here's the problem. I only allow 2 things in my game, #1 Science #2 An Act of God. Oh, sure I have Elves walking around and stuff, but they are technologically advanced, and can communicate with animals naturally or whatever, not by magic. I believe in an ordered universe... That's how I play my game. PLUS, I read in some book, that some of the Pyramids, (fiction book) were covered with a thin layer of gold, and used as antennas. So it's like advanced civilizations back then. They just did things differently back then, but by science. That sounds more interesting to play that way. I'm going to have a secret society, and you only get the more advanced stuff, if you're one of the in people. And Xanathon's computer has a Hogwarts screen, and with the hexagram thing it's too much. It also has "magic mail" and write a "spell book". I like the whole look and everything though. I have orb TV's and such. Any help you could give me would be appreciated, and again thanks!

Simmers' Paradise / Skintones / Re: Need help making a skintone showerproof

No! It doesn't overwrite! It creates a new skintone, if you do it through bodyshop! It's the same as recoloring an outfit! When you export say a skirt, it creates a new package linked to the same mesh of the skirt, and exports the current textures of the skirt as bmps in your "my projects" folder. You can edit or do anything with them. Then you go into bodyshop, and press "import to game" the textures will be imported to the package. It will be a new recolor, and it wont overwrite the maxis orginal, because it creates a new guid for you. It will work the same way with the skin. Get a skin, that's base meshes are the bb nudes. Export it in bodyshop. Then when it's done, close that project for a moment. Start a New Project. Now export the skin with the tatoo. Now you should have two folders within your "My Projects" folder. Go into the folder with the skin of the tatoo, and select all the bmps in there. Then paste them into the folder, of the other one. Let them overwrite. Now go back into bodyshop, and close the current project. Now "load saved project" and load the first one. The one that you exported that was originally linked to the Bodybuilder skin. Next, select "import to game". Bodyshop will then import the textures of the tatoo, instead of the originals, into the new recolor of the skin.

Simmers' Paradise / Where Can I Find...? / Wcif: Hacked Writting Pad for Sims 2 that functions as a computer?
|
on: September 22, 2011, 09:40:13 am

Okay, I saw on MTS2, a notebook, or pen and notebook, that had the options enabled for "writting term paper" and all the things that you could do with a pen and paper, without a computer. But I can't find it now. I'm not talking about the one for the Sims 3. You could write your term paper with this for Uni. I've typed in every search word I can think of. I've even used Google. Does anyone know where this is?

You could try: Downloading a skintone that is showeproof for the slim bb. Open bodyshop. Extract the textures for the skin you want to use. Extract the textures for the skin that is showerproof. Overwrite the textures for the skin that is showerproof, with the skin textures that you want to use. Import back in bodyshop, and viola! That's all you have to do if the meshes are already linked to a skintone.

Simmers' Paradise / Where Can I Find...? / WCIF: Hairy, or maybe Werewolf skins?
|
on: September 16, 2011, 12:23:25 pm

Okay, less than or around a month ago, I was browsing the net, and I found a brand new set of werewolf skins.
Somebody just made them. They had at least three different colors of fur. They looked really realistic. I don't go to that many sites, I think it was the Garden of Shadows, but it could have been MTS2. Maybe neither, but I don't visit many sims 2 sites. I did a search and couldn't find them. I'm pretty sure they were made from scratch. Unfortunately I couldn't download them at the time. I know they had more than one color; light and dark. They were furry. They might not have had anything to do with werewolves... unfortunately I don't remember. But I could have been thinking it was just a quick fix to default them. But I'm pretty sure it said "werewolf" or "wolf" skins.
Has anyone seen them, or know where I can find them?
Edit: Yeah, they had an alien werewolf. It was greenish... among others.

Thank you!.... Actually, I notice you've forgotten the toddler NUDE, as well, when I was making a mesh for toddlers with sexy feet. I only see the diaper in the file... not to be to whiney, unless I missed it, but I checked all the packages... Thank you so very much though!

Simmers' Paradise / Clothing & Body Mesh's / SORRY EVERYONE!

If you adust the brightness, and contrast I know it helps. That and you could to switch the paintbrush into color mode, or lighten mode if it works better .I'm very sorry I couldn't help, I wanted to try. I know it is very difficult to get things done especially if you don't have the computer skills. People just expect other people to know how to do things. Me, I just start learning the computer through paint, and moved on to photoshop, so recoloring was like childs play to me, but not many of the other things. About the not linking thing... Everybody who ever refered me to a tutorial on MTS(2?) never bothered linking to it. I had to wade through and find it myself, but by now it is like my home page. I just figured it was standard pratctice because "anyone and everyone knows about MTS." And about kissing up... It was my own sarcastic way, of telling you to not for get your pleases and thank you's, and being polite. You know just asking nicely. Thats what MTS says about requests, because they don't have a request forum. And sorry for being snippy everyone .... I'm editing my post joy.
