I just wanted to tell you that I let one of my neighbors/friends borrow my Sims2 DD Disk and she had a good time playing it for almost 3 months and when I went to go help her with her computer because she couldn't get her anti-virus to work and she had all these programs that she didn't need so I was trying to help by cleaning up her computer but we must have no we had to have deleted a main driver when I did a backup of her Sims2 before I did a System Restore because now when you push the play button she gets a white error box with no words only a red ball with a white X in it and we never could figure out how to get hers working again, how did you get yours to play again? because shes pretty upset about her game not being able to work anymore any help would be appreciated? oh yeah and you said once you got in the game all your base neighborhoods were gone?!

I thought I would let all you know about this creator I recently discovered via the exchange but you guys HAVE GOT to go to her page I cannot even explain how awesome her models are I mean they are absolutley to die for drop dead gorgeous! this girl really has a wonderful talent and I just thought she should be recongnized as a truly gifted individual you guys all check her sims out if you are seeking some lovely sim ladies

Well then thats good news for me then but I will more than likley have to go buy some additonal RAM because I have every EP but Bonvoyage and the other ones are just in there cases I switch around when I get tired of the other EP's which right now all I have on my computer is Sims2 DD, (which basically is The Sims 2 Base, Nighlife,and Celebrations Stuff Pack) Seasons, OFB,Apartment Life thats all my poor machine can handle... well it could probably stand 5 EP's installed but my game would lag really bad so I will have to do a backup all my saved games and everything and uninstall EVERYTHING just to be able to run the Sims3 and more than likely that still won't be enough and I will have to go buy more RAM for my machine just to keep it up

lol high five Maria1307 I guess my problem might be that I used to play the sims wayy too much and now I don't care what EP I get the game gets more and more repetitive for me, I'm just patiently well not really patiently waiting for the Sims3 to come out but I heard just a handful of people will be able to run it on their systems because the requirements are so un-real, I mean you would have to be a Rockefella to have such a high end machine to run all that crap why couldn't they just make it simple ran like the Sims2? stupid money grubbing Maxis %$#@!

Well by the time I got 3 apartments done which are verry small I was so burnt out on playing the game that I just saved and turned it off I'll tell you a little well known fact about me I have a short attention span and not a whole lot of patience and I quote "I would rather be set on fire than to furnish an entire home" I don't know I just want to play the game not spend 3 hours furnishing a house for my sims I know I went on a adrendaline rush one day and furnish a 3 floor HUGE mansion I downloaded somewhere and it took me 3 days to get it exactly right and that has got to be one of the most god-awful experiences of my life just because of my personality I guess lol but I am not the kind of person to just put any ole' wall paper or floor or object down I am one of the pickiest people you'll ever see when it comes to sims I mean every little detail has to be perfect. . . I think a perfectionist might be an understatement

Anyone Else Like I Am, Or Is It Just Me?

No it does not if you decorate before any sims are moved into the lot, the only furniture that dissapears is your controlled sims so its just best if you furnish all the other tenants apartments besides your own and rent the apartment you want and then furnish your chosen apartment and then when you go visit another neighbor when there lights come on after you knock you'll see the furniture you placed for them manually but I still need help on my other question about if I should furnish all the apartments basically the same?

Ok this is something I need help with so I am currently trying to furnish a 4 rooms apartment building (because well thats all I can be bothered to do with my short attention span ) so anyway what I have so far is the lobby with snack machines and arm chairs on the first floor and on the 2nd floor I have a workout area and a stero for the sims enjoyment okay I have all the apartments rooms set up right but I was wondering if you guys think to make the game seem realistic should I put in every apartment basically the same stuff like same sofas but different colors, all the same counters, same dressers and beds but different colors, etc etc. I mean to make it seem like the landlord furnished the apartment building for the tenants? is that how normal apartments are furnished like in a community housing sort of thing or would that just seem to boring? what are you guys' thoughts?

Hey Simsample I thought that you were supposed to put them in, in neighborhood mode and I found out the 3rd time I clicked a lot and they weren't there and had to wait 20 friggin minutes between lots and the main hood (anyone else notice AL has got to be the slowest EP made?) but anywho I also got that hack over at maty and now all apartment blocks I go into are furnished because of that hack but I furnish and re-model before hand before any sims move into the lot I am currently re-modeling and furnishing an apartment that came with the EP its looking really cute well thanks for the help

Nice talking to you again I have that mod over at maty but theres not a hack that lets you see their furnishings? because I'd like to know what they were doing in the privacy of their apartments that would make things more interesting for me but if there isn't thats okay thanks for helping hon

Ya I figured that out about 3 a.m. this morning on the AL help forums on the original site but I don't understand what Base and SubLot mean I tried putting both in and they worked but no building options were available could you explain to me what both are? I downloaded one of lewisb4u beautiful apartment lots and I went in before hand and decorated all the other individual apartments to my taste, saved and exited out went back in and NONE of the apartments were furnished that I could see? oh I was pissed lol so I was about ready to re-do everything! and then I seen a neighbor walk over to another neighbors door and knock and then the neighbors lights came on and everything was furnished! weird I guess you can't see anything in there until you visit huh? but I still couldn't out how to put in those two cheats because I don't understand which is which and what each do? and about the landlord I didn't realize he would be like a repairman but it makes sense now. lol but I could have sworn in the manual it said you could call and complain about noisy neighbors? and did you know that when the neighbors are making alot of noise and you go in that one room where the noise is coming through the wall that your enviromental score will plummet drastically?

I know I haven't asked for anything in a while but I was really hoping you would consider this and not just for me but for all AL players as well could you make a mod where you could see the other tenants in the buildings furnishings that is soo annoying for me so I downloaded the novanishingdorms hack from maty but I'm not sure if that would work for an apartment building but rather just a dorm if you could do this one I would really appreciate it

Okay so I looked through all 15 pages of posts and I didn't see what I needed help on lol so I'll ask here does anyone know why I can't contact the landlord because I can't see an option on the phone and he seems to leave the apartment block until the next day like I understand he comes in each day and does mantience but it says in the manual that you can call and complain to him about noisy neighbors and such but I just don't see how and when he does show up theres no option to 'complain' or anything I sure hope this isn't a hack/mod problem cuz I got a doozey of a downloads folder just busting with hacks so if it is then I'll get over it but on the other hand if it isn't could someone please explain to me how I can contact him? also I was wondering why I couldn't re-model a pre-existing apartment I know in uni you can put a cheat in that allows you to re-model dorms if you wanted to...why can't I place new walls, windows, doors or stair-cases in my apartment or do you have to have no one living in the lot and just enter the lot and re-model and furnish like you would a normal home and then move your sims in? thank you for any and all help

I should have known it was that transparent water hack so this leads me to wonder would the game crash on any ole' aquarium or perhaps just this one because its so large?

Okay so I was looking through some of you guys' post and some of you are talking about game crashes and I thought I would tell you what happened to me 3x today on the same object and after the 3rd time I want bother with it (even though it is so lovely) I haven't tested this to see if its buy mode or just collections where it crashes but as you all know whenever you install a new EP a custom icon for that EP is added to collections okay well I clicked on AL's icon to see what all was included with the EP instead of going through all the different categories and going 'okay thats new' lol so this is ONLY when I click on the new large wall aquarium in the collection file that the game 'terminates and crashes' now why the heck couldn't it crash on something not cool like those stupid tacky decroative pipes for example just thought I would tell you guys and see if anyone else is seeing this problem?
