And here they are as they exist now as Teens.
362  The Sims 3 / Sims 3 Buzz / Re: So disappointed in the lack of evil available on: February 20, 2009, 05:08:29 am
As far as my opinion in the great Sims debate, and I want to re-state that is this is my OPINION, I think EAxis are fully and well aware what the core fanbase of the series is. The people who have played it from the 1st game, which came out in what?...2000? And here we are in 2009. 9 years is a LONG time, and naturally, the people who are loyalest to the series have aged. I was 20 when I first played TS1, and I'm soon going to be 30 this year. Needless to say, I'm not a kid. And neither is a VAST many of us here. So why on Earth would they spend so much time developing a rated T game knowing full well 70% of the players of the game are NOT teens? (What Teen these days do YOU know has the patience to actually put the work in needed to really get into The Sims when they have Halo or GTA4?) Speak of the devil, I already gave it away. But for those who are avid gamers like me, I need to only say two words...

Hot Coffee.

To those who don't know, it was a mod for the PC version of GTA:San Andreas made with code that ALREADY existed in the game. It allowed for some well, "interesting" encounters with female characters on the game, and Rockstar Games caught a firestorm of crap from the moralists, family groups and right wingers for it. So much so that major retail chains started pulling the game off the shelves. So Rockstar went back, fixed the code and redistributed the game. But they still suffered loses in the Millions, and they've been under the microscope ever since. But Rockstar is a publisher that's built on taking risks. (Don't think so? Google Manhant. That's all you need to see.) EA isn't. They're one of the "Big Boys". So they're stuff is at the top of the pile. While they do make violent games, they don't cross into that uber violent gray area some publishers do. And as far as "Mature" themed content, forget about it. EA won't even go near it. Any really racey content in a game will IMMEDIATELY get the dreaded AO (Adult Only) rated from the ESRB, and most national chains and outlets do not carry AO games, which is why the games that do cross into that area like 3D Sexvilla and the Sexy Beach series are sold either online through the company itself, or aren't available in the US at all. EA isn't going to take that risk because the only line that matters to them is the bottom one. So they'll give us a tame, cute, whimsical game out of the box. And the hardcore modders will crack the code, and transform it into what basically came from TS2 content. It's a "Here's The Sims 3, and a few tools you can use to help make it more yours" scenario. Now what the skinners, meshers and modders do to the game AFTER the fact isn't EA's problem, all they did was distribute it to the public. What WE do to the game is a whole other story. And in time, we'll kick it's ass just like we did TS2, and have Sex, Violence, drugs, and other such things that make the game so gosh darn fun to play. Of course much like TS2, don't expect to see any major CC in year one. Clothes, yes. But new Body Meshes will take some time, especially since as was mentioned earlier in this thread some of the more prominent meshers have retired. But I'm sure others will carry the torch, I might even take a stab at it myself seeing as I'm learning on the fly still. But that's enough of my rant.
363  Simmers' Paradise / General Sims 2 Discussion / Re: What action or Animation you hate the most in sims2? on: February 18, 2009, 09:55:31 pm
This has probably been mentioned in this thread, and I remedied it with hacks from MATY, but I used to HATE the obsessive compulsive need for them to play SSX 3. I mean granted, it was a damn good game, and I still pop it into my PS3 (Backwards Compatibility FTW) from time to time, but JEEZ!!!

Eat or play SSX 3?

SSX 3 BABY!!!

Sleep or SSX 3?

Yep, you got it...SSX 3!!!

Pee yourself or SSX 3?

S...S...S...THREEEEEEEEEEEEEEE!!!

I must have spent hours trying to find something to make them stop, then I found the WCIF section, found the link to MATY, got the hack, as well as several others. Surprisingly enough, when I stopped them from playing SSX 3 all of the time, my Birth rate started rising. The lesson learned? When Sims can't play SSX 3, the WooHoo like damn rabbit.

*sigh* again...
364  Simmers' Paradise / General Sims 2 Discussion / Re: The I Confess Unholy Confessions Thread Rofl. on: February 18, 2009, 06:13:33 pm
I wanted one of the Maxis houses for my CAS sim, but I didn't want to go through the hassle of moving them out, raising enough money to buy it with the CAS sim, etc. etc. So I just moved the CAS sim in, bought the basket of axes from Paladin, and put her to work. It all worked fine, until the littlest sim was still there. A boy.

He went for a swim in the winter and somehow the ladder got deleted...

The old delete-a-ladder trick. I swear that never does get old, lol. The sickest thing I've done on my game is essentially the birth of a sim I've mentioned in other threads, Aric Edenwalt...

Looks like your typical, run the mill teen, right? WRONG!!! Aric is the devil given flesh. He's what happens when you raise a sim's playfulness to full, and drop his niceness to DONUT. A sadistic little brat he is. He will prank, annoy, and generally make the lives of any sim he comes in contact miserable, even friends and family. Thankfully his family tolerates it, but the rest of Pleasantview? Not so much. And what's sicker, he enjoys it. His social bar is always high, but his STR and LTR with most sims are in the negative. His crowning achievement so far has been p****** off an entire lot in ONE trip. I drove him to one of my Bluewater dinners, left free will on and pretty much let him have at it. If they could've toss him out on your butt, they probably would have, lol. And to think, he's still got three more life stages to go. I can't wait to get him into college. Academie La' Tour will never be the same.  Evil

Other then that, the next evilest thing I do is have a sim beat the crap out of mascots and cheerleaders. To be fair I keep it gender specific. Guys shouldn't hit girls, but that doesn't stop me from sicking a female to whip a Cheerleader's butt.  Grin

Edited because of cussing!!
365  Simmers' Paradise / General Sims 2 Discussion / Re: You have been playing the Sims 2 for too long... on: February 17, 2009, 10:52:40 pm
You've been playing The Sims 2 for too long when...

You wish there was a speed time up x3 button at work.

You watch a music video expecting the dancers to break out into the Smustle.

YOU break out into the Smustle while dancing.

You actually refer to the act of having sex as "WooHoo".

You say to yourself when faced with a problem "What would Don Lothario do?"

You get nervous in public when old women with purses and flowered hats walk by to close.
366  Simmers' Paradise / General Sims 2 Discussion / Re: Which do you prefer? Free will on or off? on: February 17, 2009, 10:41:17 pm
In my game, Free Will is ON. Cheesy I like seeing what stupidity they'll do. This one sim I have, Aric Edenwalt...a teen...is the king of all pranksters. Seriously, the kid's got some serious issues. I drive him to a community lot (They're filthy rich those Edenwalts, so Aric drives a Zonda, lol) and let him p*** everyone off. One time he p***** off the whole lot. There was 6 sims, including the service sims, and everyone is STILL furious with him. We love Aric. He's my new age Dudley Landgrabb...LMAO!

Cussing issues.
367  Simmers' Paradise / General Sims 2 Discussion / Re: How hard are legacys!!! on: February 17, 2009, 10:33:11 pm
No no no, they don't take up the whole neighborhood. Far from it. They're maybe 15% of my Pleasantview Populous. Using the camera mods I was able to stick lots in areas all over Pleasantview, Downtown and Bluewater. I've still got over 30 empty lots that I plan on filling with the next generation of sims as they get older and start having kids. The families I have that would be my Legacy families are

The Hargroves: 5 Generations

The Edenwalts: 3 Generations

The Triptons: 3 Generations

And the Tripton and Hargrove bloodlines might get crossed together as two of the college kids, Jack Tripton and Adelle Hargrove have a crush on each other AND perfect chemistry. So those two families might get even bigger. I need to get some snaps of Grandpa Richie, perverted old bastard...lol.
368  Simmers' Paradise / General Sims 2 Discussion / Re: How hard are legacys!!! on: February 17, 2009, 09:59:46 pm
I never knew they actually had a "term" for this, I just did it normally. I have one family, the 1st one I ever made waaaaaaaaaaaaaaay back when I installed the base game, The Hargroves that are now into their 5th generation. The family tree is kinda nuts, there's gotta be a list 18 sims in my neighborhood of Hargrove blood, and these are the ones who were BORN Hargroves, not the sims that married into the family. This doesn't account for the Hargroves that have passed on as well. What keeps them interesting is the one thing I keep constant with anyone born of the Hargrove bloodline...

They're all goofballs.

Funniest damn sims you'd ever seen. The oldest (At present) is Richard, an elder. He's a total hippy and has this nasty habit of chasing after young girls. Doesn't help that he's a romance sim either, lol. At least the old guy can still "get it up", LMAO!
369  Simmers' Paradise / General Sims 2 Discussion / Re: Things you've only recently discovered about the game on: February 17, 2009, 09:44:23 pm
I found out the reason why you DON'T invite a romance sim to a party where 4 of his loves are in attendance as well. He's gonna be one lonely b****** for a while until I do some damage control. I wish I would have taken pics. He flirted with one, and the other three got p*****. Then they all walked up to him in order and smacked the taste outta his mouth, even the one he flirted with initially, LMAO!!!

Keep the cussing to a minimum, we are PG-13.
370  Simmers' Paradise / General Sims 2 Discussion / Re: Are You A Sims 2 Fanatic? on: February 17, 2009, 09:36:04 pm
My names is Oz, and I'm a Sims2-caholic. Cheesy My DL folder is 5.60GB, not as large as most as I make a lot of my own content, and recolor some of the stuff I like from other creators with my own lil spin on them. Haven't posted anything, but I will eventually. Families wise, I've got about 30, some are brand new, some are 2nd, 3rd, 4th & 5th generations families. I try to keep the ages and numbers balanced and they're all spread out between Pleasantview, Downtown and Bluewater Cove. It's pretty damned crowded in my hood, lol.
371  Simmers' Paradise / Sims 2 Pictures / Re: Show off your teenage sims! on: February 17, 2009, 12:30:17 am
Now, for some of my fave sim teens Cheesy

We start out with one of my fave fellas, Jake Tripton. Jake is a 3rd Generation sim, and presently is a Sophomore in college. A hit at parties to do him being a social sim with charisma maxed out, if there's some form of mischief happening, Jake's no doubt involved somehow. (The third pic is him watching TV with his popz, General Jeff Tripton.
---------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Next up, we have siblings of my 1st family, The Hargroves. We begin with the Twins, Adelle and Adara. Adelle is the older twin, who is a wealth Sim & is pretty much a carbon copy of their mother, Whisper. (Who is blond). Adara, the 2nd posted is a Knowledge sim, who ended up have the traits of their father, Lucas...who also is a knowledge sim, even down to her lifetime want, reach the top of the medical field. They're both living in the same dorm in college as Jake, and Adelle as has slight crush on him. I'm letting it play out seeing as they have decent chemistry. Last but not least, we have the youngest of the Hargrove siblings, Melody, who just recently became a Teen. She's a social sim, and wants 20 friends as her LTW, I've got work to do with her, lol. There's one more Hargrove, the oldest of the bunch, Eric. He's now a senior in College soon to become an adult, and is also engaged. Sadly, the pics I had of him as a teen got wiped out when my OS crashed late last year.
------------------------------------------------------------------------

And last but not least we have some of my other favorite teens. 1st up is Victor Russell. He's kinda shy, but super athletic. He aspires to be a Hall Of Famer. The next young fella is Aric Edenwalt, second son of Danica Edenwalt, one of my two most wealthiest sims. Despite the fact that they live is a friggin' palace, Aric's a bit of a slacker. Ok, he's a MAJOR slacker. And constantly pranking poor Victor, and anyone else unfortunate to get in his line of sight. And last but not least we have Lesley Santoro, who wants to become a Movie Mogul. With her looks and talent, there's no reason why she can't, aside from the fact she has a crush on Aric, and he's not exactly the best influence, ya' know? lol.
372  Simmers' Paradise / Sims 2 Pictures / Re: Post your Hot & Sexy Male Sims Here on: February 05, 2009, 12:49:53 am
say hello to Clyde Issacs. Cheesy

373  Simmers' Paradise / Sims 2 Pictures / Re: Pretty Sims - Post ALL your beautiful females HERE! on: February 05, 2009, 12:20:03 am
Those are some pretty good lookin' girls if I must say so myself. Cheesy For my 1st entry into this, I post one of my personal favorite sim ladies. Her name is Gretchen Kristoff. She's in the late stages of adulthood (15 days until she becomes an elder) and has 3 children, 2 are in college, the other a child.

375  Simmers' Paradise / General Sims 2 Help / Problems with University on: January 21, 2009, 08:25:42 pm
Ok, here's my dilemma. 1st and foremost, I'd like to state before you read on that I did NOT PIRATE THE GAME.  I bought a physical copy of the game, and created .iso files in my back up because my CD/DVD drive has a nasty habit of pitting a nice little ring in the middle of my discs. So the actual disk is pretty much unreadable now, hence I opt to use the .iso files on Daemon Tools Pro (Paid for). Anyways, I recently tried installing Open For Business, but when I fired the game up got no display. The sound played perfectly, but for whatever reason the screen was gray. The HUD appeared normal, but the town display showed nothing. So I uninstalled it, but for whatever reason it uninstalled my University Data as well. I have the base game, UNI & NL. When I fire up NL it plays as normal, but when the town selection screen comes up, it gives me a warning that if I proceed, my colleges will be deleted and all my young adults will be grown up and moved into the Sim Bin, which I don't want.

So now we get to the root of my problem. I open up Daemon Tools and mount the .iso files just as I did 3 years ago to initially install UNI and NL on my PC. It reads the file, but then shows a dialog saying:

"Please match sure The Sims 2 University disc is in the drive. Press OK to terminate and restart the application."

Then it closes. When I explore the file and hit autorun, it does the same thing. So my question is, does .iso files deteriorate after time or is there something I'm not doing right. Should I uninstall EVERYTHING and then reinstall it back to back to back? Mind you, I back up my files constantly, so a reinstall wouldn't force me to start over. Has anyone else had this problem and if so, how did you resolve it?
