31  Sims 2 Community Downloads / Women / Vector Apparel NYC: Body Builder Girl Casuals on: April 23, 2009, 03:54:00 pm
Imagine my dismay when doing a site wide search on a number of sites to find that any form of real fashion for Marvine & BeosBoxBoy's Body Builder Girl is practically non-existent. Aside from the standard fair stuff that was released when the body shape was made available, there's really nothing out there for her. Well that's about to change, because I've taken in upon myself to give the big girl some much needed attention. In this thread you'll find 6 casual outfits for BBG, 3 are casuals and formals, the other 3 just casuals. Amongst the casual only's is my "Black Dragon" dress worn by my favorite BBG sim...which I created exclusively for her, but now all can have. Expect more BBG fashions from me, as well as apparel for many other body shapes. This is only the tip of the iceberg of what I plan on releasing. Enjoy. Cheesy

Included in the rar is Gothplague's miniskirt mesh made for BBG, which is needed for the outfits to show on your game. I'd link back to it but...I can't find it anywhere...so I'm guessing it's now one of those "Lost Meshes". But of course many thanks and props go to GP for making the mesh, and Marvine and Triple B for giving us such a unique body type to play with. Cheesy
32  Sims 2 Community Downloads / Sim Hunks / Marlon Lambert on: April 21, 2009, 08:06:22 pm
Following up my 1st released female sim, I give you my 1st male upload to Insim. His name is Marlon Lambert, and he's one of my favorite males. I initially made him to be in a contest, but unfortunately I missed the sign up by a few days. So much rather then let him sit in my sim bin, I figured I'd share him with you all. His skintone is a recolor of the Louis HBB V.2 Skintones available here, with some custom tats added on using Photoshop (I'm a whiz with Photoshop Cheesy). So if your hood needs some new "Brown Suga", give Marlon a go.

Download him. Enjoy him. But don't claim him as your own sim. Your grandma will hate you for it. Tongue The meshes for the top (Also custom made by myself) and the pants are included in the rar. Just download and enjoy. Grin
33  Simmers' Paradise / General Sims 2 Help / A really noobish question... on: April 21, 2009, 07:29:18 pm
Ok. I've finally got to the point where I'd like to share some of the custom created clothes I've made. There's just one problem...I have no idea how you export them for sharing, lol. If someone could give me a quick tut, or a link to one it'd be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance, folks. Cheesy
34  Sims 2 Community Downloads / Sim Honeys / Penelope Faris on: April 17, 2009, 02:52:43 pm
My 1st InSim upload, YAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAY!!! And I start off by unveiling a Blond to die for, Penelope Faris. Say hello to Penelope Faris. This curvy blond bombshell is all about having a good time. Don't let her looks fool you though, she's not your typical blond. Sharp as a razor with savvy business sense, it's no wonder she owns one of the nation's most elite nightclubs. (In my game anywayz...Tongue) Her turn on are fit guys with high charisma, and she absolutely hates guys with no ambition. (See: Job...lol)

You can find the mesh for the Classic Pinup bodyshape HERE.
You can find the skintone used for her HERE.
You can find the mesh for her dress HERE.
You can find the actual dress HERE.
The hair is donation hair from Rosesims2. I'm sure by now most know where to find it. Wink

If you get the "Need such & such EP to install" crap, just install her with Clean Installer and you should be good to go. As always, big ups MASSIVE to all of the CC creators who's content was used to make her. Feel free to do with her what you will, and enjoy her. Just don't claim her as your own creation. If you do, you generally fail as a human being. Tongue
35  Simmers' Paradise / General Sims 2 Discussion / Reached a new milsetone... on: April 16, 2009, 01:16:53 pm
What you might ask? Simple.

I've run out of room in Pleasantview.

I officially have no more room for any new lots in my version Pleasantview. Thanks in part to Gunmod's Camera and being able to access parts of the hood that the default camera can't, for years I've been slapping lots in barren sections of the map. And today when I fired it up to add a new lot, I came to the realization that there's no where for me to put it. Well, there's the long stretch of road at the south of the map, but the land between the mountains and the road can only fit 2x2 sized lots, and where's the fun in small lots? (Actually, they can be fun...but that's another topic Tongue) So it would seem that I now have to start filling up my sub-hoods if I want to start adding new lots, and subsequently new sims as well seeing as Pleasantview takes like 6 minutes to load because there's gotta be damn near 100+ sims, that or I have to resort to "Population Control". (Thin the herd of those "weaker" sims...*Evil laughter*)

Or maybe I should try to fond some better for of Sim birth control. I swear my sims reproduce like cockroaches. Tongue
36  Simmers' Paradise / General Sims 2 Help / SimPE Problemo on: April 10, 2009, 04:53:58 am
Ok, so here's the present dilemma I'm having right now. I've decided I wanted to package up a few sims for community download, and I've fully read and comprehended the process of how to extract in-game born sims using SimPE, cloning them in Body Shop then re-extracting them with Clean Installer. The problem is that I can't seem to even get passed step one. I'll open up SimPE, go to tolls and Neighborhood Selector, then choose the hood where my sims are (Pleasantview) and then the damn thing will do one of two things...

1. Freeze, and stay frozen for a while. Longest I let it sit was 1:18:45 and still no progress.

2. Crash.

I realize that having as much content as I do is probably a big part into why SimPE isn't working properly, but is there a way I can get it to operate normally without having to move or remove anything?
37  A Safe Haven / General Discussion / For those who are name challenged... on: March 17, 2009, 07:55:48 am
http://www.behindthename.com/random/

Behindthename.com is a name database site I've used for 3 years now, for naming my sims and my create-a-wrestlers (CAWS) on the Smackdown Vs. Raw series of video games. They have a HUGE database of names, and you can even mix and match names. The way it works is you check off the dialect of the names you want generated, the select what gender you want generated and how many names you want generated. After that, hit generate a name and VIOLA!!! You can hit refresh on the screen that shows your generated name for it to automatically generate another name, and it even gives you the entomology of each name when you click it. Have fun with it, folks. Grin
38  Simmers' Paradise / General Sims 2 Help / Problems with University on: January 21, 2009, 08:25:42 pm
Ok, here's my dilemma. 1st and foremost, I'd like to state before you read on that I did NOT PIRATE THE GAME.  I bought a physical copy of the game, and created .iso files in my back up because my CD/DVD drive has a nasty habit of pitting a nice little ring in the middle of my discs. So the actual disk is pretty much unreadable now, hence I opt to use the .iso files on Daemon Tools Pro (Paid for). Anyways, I recently tried installing Open For Business, but when I fired the game up got no display. The sound played perfectly, but for whatever reason the screen was gray. The HUD appeared normal, but the town display showed nothing. So I uninstalled it, but for whatever reason it uninstalled my University Data as well. I have the base game, UNI & NL. When I fire up NL it plays as normal, but when the town selection screen comes up, it gives me a warning that if I proceed, my colleges will be deleted and all my young adults will be grown up and moved into the Sim Bin, which I don't want.

So now we get to the root of my problem. I open up Daemon Tools and mount the .iso files just as I did 3 years ago to initially install UNI and NL on my PC. It reads the file, but then shows a dialog saying:

"Please match sure The Sims 2 University disc is in the drive. Press OK to terminate and restart the application."

Then it closes. When I explore the file and hit autorun, it does the same thing. So my question is, does .iso files deteriorate after time or is there something I'm not doing right. Should I uninstall EVERYTHING and then reinstall it back to back to back? Mind you, I back up my files constantly, so a reinstall wouldn't force me to start over. Has anyone else had this problem and if so, how did you resolve it?
