1  Sims 2 Community Downloads / Dogs / Re: New Dog Breed: Brute on: August 27, 2009, 12:54:01 am
I love this dog. Every time my game crashes I have to go and find it all over again, 'cause it's one CC I can't do without.
Thank you so much for this!

Wow-have you checked your EAGames/TheSims2/Downloads folder? If it's in there you should be able to take it out and that'd at least give the poor kids (and your floors) a break.

Thank you so much, vickylougrl. I really didn't like the Maxis vampire, so I was goofing around in SimPE, brought back one of my favorite characters, and voila.
Have you been over to Garden of Shadows? They have a whole bunch of really nice Silent Hill stuff that avionlia's been making:

Oh, and one more from Perky. Something I have never seen a Sim do, ever.  She was at Kaylynn Langerak's wedding and I made her selectable so she could help with the clean up. I turned my back and she autonomously went upstairs and:

She's smart, she's beautiful, she loves science, and...
she does windows!

She's not exactly dark, but she is undead:

Countess Perky Toodlesfleever
She was in my old game, so I brought her back, and with the help of SimPE, replaced the female Grand Vampire with her. She's not usually that beautiful. More often she's more like this:

Except with pointier teeth.

Yeah, they'd start out mixing the ink for the scribes.  Hey, that's not a bad idea! Ink mixer, quill sharpener, paper masher, 2nd Junior Assistant Scribe, 1st Junior, Junior Scribe, Scribe, Guy Who Looks Over Scribe's Backs (Editor for short), Bookbinder, Bookseller, Person Who Gets Books (a la The Dumas Club), Person Who Shushes, and then all the library positions all the way up to Royal Keeper of Scrolls and Tomes and Books and Stuff.

Hey Naria, have you seen this:

It's the adult Library career! How cool is that?

Wait, librarian=dork?  Have you seen this: http://www.libraryunderground.org/weirdness.htm

You just tell them that libraries are the safe quiet places where the ingredients of dreams are made. Hey, I like that. Let's put it on a t-shirt.
Seriously, libraries are about the best places to spend too much time. No TV, no danger, supervised, and full of books. We love having (semi-respectable, mostly sane, recently washed) people hanging out in our libraries. Unless they're those guys with the laptops who're looking at porn, but hey, what're you gonna do?

"Too much time in libraries." I'm not sure I understand the phrase...is such a thing possible?

Hey nonni nonni, I live near Seattle. Where's "hau hau?"

It really works out well though. When she's on the computer I either clean the place or read a book...

Ah, Pescado sensai, thank you for that. I've only used the one time, and consider it a last-ditch measure. I'll definitely stay away from it (I usually just maipulate my sims' ages via SimPE).

On a side note, thank you for all your work in making the new IS!

Simple way (I had the same problem once, and my 12 year old showed me this): Press Ctrl+Shift+C. That will open up the cheat box on the top of the screen (this is where you type in all the cool cheats). Type in Agesimscheat on (make sure there's a space between the two words). Then left click on the elderly sim and you should get some options for ages.
Hope this helps.

Yeah very soggy Northwest. At least we're not anywhere near the flooding, though a lot of supplies aren't getting through to the local markets.
My daughter and I share one computer, so when it's her turn (or it's not, but she annoys me into letting her on) I can get some reading in between housework tasks. Though I've been reading this latest one for oh, two-three weeks now! I miss my old commuting days, when I could read 3 or 4 books a week.

No, it's not an addiction...I can quit anytime I-wait, gotta go check updates.

Thanks. Sage advice that I should heed myself. Ever since I got hooked on Sims, then on Sims CC, then on the Sims CC community (here especially) my reading has gone waaaay down.
I just figured that, you know, working in a library and all, I should encourage these young people to read more...
