1  The Sims 3 / Sims 3 Help / Questions from former sims 2 player now sims 3. Do your sims behave this way on: May 27, 2010, 01:13:44 pm
1st I do use mods and cc.  Use Naars story progression and supercomputer/have some but not alot of no autonomy mods (i.e. no autonomous singing) and some others of that ilk.  I am using epic life, high autonomy. Have WA and HELS up to date patches.  Thanks to anyone that answers.

Do your sims dance with anyone regardless of sex?  Not to offend anyone but I can't stand seeing my muscular male straight sim dance with his straight best friend.  All the while their spouse stands around picking her but.  WTF?

Male sims that ignore their women.  2 of my males sims (not gay) are in relationship with female and seem to dance with each other and interact more with each other and ignore their wife/fiance.  If their is no other sim on the lot except her then they will interact with her.  I know traits have to do with attraction but I have them very close in traits for compatilibity.  My other couples act this way too.  I'm praying for a Nightlife ep soooooooon!

When you go to a community lot do your sims just stand around and not interact with other sims on the lot for hours? I have to force them to interact.  Again they will completely ignore their significanto other and run clear across town to flirt with someone else. (Drives me nuts).  Sometimes they will picnic with others but unless someone walks up to them and interacts they will just stand there.

Last question.  Can anyone explain how sims interacted romantically in the sims 2 base game prior to the release of nightlife.  Could you also compare sims 2 base game to sims 3 base? I only played sims 1 for 2 weeks and could never really get it to work properly.  Started playing sims 2  dec 2008 and started with base game and nightlife and never used cc for nearly a year.  I then ended up with all of the eps so I am used to easily seeing attraction and being able to manipulate things so they would hae 3 bolts for spouse and one or none for others.  This would prevent them from going on a date with the wife and yet spending the evening yapping it up with someone they found more attraction to.
2  The Sims 3 / Pudding Requests / No going home when I send you to a community lot! on: May 27, 2010, 12:34:53 pm
I am looking for a mod that will prevent my sims from going home without me telling them to do so.  I had found one on a site and have tried it for a week however the problem is that any sims I am not playing are also for example at the park they won't go home either.  They all stand around whining because they are tired.  Many of them just start passing out.  Here is what I would like:

I send my sim and family to the park in the evening.  I use cheats to manipulate their needs.  They may be completly fine on motives and one by one will just go home.  I want them to stay together as a family until I am ready for them to go home.  I don't know if there is a way so that this mod will only affect the family I am controlling at the time.  I want the townies and others to go home as needed instead of sticking around the entire time passing out, peeing themselves and dying from hunger or stinking up the place.

I have removed the other mod from my game because it was causing havoc in my game due to the uncontrolled sims not being able to leave either.  Thanks to anyone who can help
3  The Sims 3 / Pudding Requests / request:offender apologizes/relationship only drops 4 offended/romantic more fun on: May 21, 2010, 02:01:24 am
I have WA and HEL and I have the very latest patch.  I have looked for a month and have found nothing regarding this but maybe I missed something.  I would like an apology mod that will force a sim who flirts or cheats to apologize to the one wronged.  Example maybe when you seen the little icon showing Upset the offender would apologize.  I hate having to force them to do it

I also would like to have a mod that only drops the relationship for the one that is cheated on.  In sims 2 unless the cheater was slapped or insulted their relationship with the one they offended would remain high.  If there was a high enough attraction between the two then the offender would autonomously work to repair the relationship.  It just annoys me that the person doing the cheating has no business being mad. I also hate that both sides of the relationship drops which to me is stupid.

Make Romantic socials like kisses and ones that typically are only applicable to those in committed relationships more fun so they will do those actions more often instead of running off to play the computer or watch tv or interact with anyone but God forbid their spouse or partner.  I have had to remove every single item including pictures from the lot just so my sims will interact romantically or otherwise.  I just don't get that at all.  My spouse and i talk and interact all the time.  We don't go days on end without so much as a kiss my arst like my idiot sims would do.

Thanks to anyone who can help
4  The Sims 3 / Sims 3 Help / Re: Sims that just stand around driving me nuts/Sims dancing with anybody on: May 20, 2010, 10:15:25 pm
Thank you for answering Theraven.  I agree they are stupid.  I originally started playing sims with sims 1 and bought it way after sims 2 had come out.  I bought the one with all of the eps together.  It sucked and 3 weeks later I went ahead and bought sims 2 deluxe.  So I never played sims 2 without the attraction system which came with nightlife.  I am wondering if sims 2 base game was this boring until there was an attraction system.  I am really hoping they will introduce something like that in the ep after ambitions.  I just hate not knowing who is really compatiable and who is not.  It was so easy to just look at the bolts and see.   I know the traits have to do with whether they will get together or not but it is kind of boring and so hard to tell.  I have had a few pee themselves (real humans are at least smart enough to cop a squat or find a bush).  I which there was a way to max and hold their needs on an individual need basis like bladder, hygene and hunger and energy.  Using the mailbox thing maxes all of their needs so then they really get boring cause they just stand there for days until they are prompted to go to work.  It is great for skilling though.
5  The Sims 3 / Sims 3 Help / Question re: new ep and current mods on: May 20, 2010, 10:01:32 pm
I am planning to get Ambitions when it is released. I am just wondering how a new ep affects cc?  I am new to sims 3 and am used to sims 2 which I had nearly all of the eps and played for almost a year before ever using cc so I never had a lot of problems with outdated cc.   I have quite a few mods although not nearly like I did for sims 2.  I have clothing, hair and some mods.  I planned on removing all of my cc and then installing the new ep.   I am mostly concerned about my hair.  I have had the most trouble with hair (especially peggy hair).  I had found a post saying that I needed to use a tool to make my hairs ep ready.  I did that for the problems I was having since I have Hel and WA and now I have a bunch of hairs that I can't get out of my cc that are either bald or look like black burnt scalps. I just don't want to do that again with the new ep.

I am also kind of confused as to how cc works.  I know how and where to install it depending on what kind it is.  I just don't understand what the difference between the package files and sims3pack are.  Why are some things I download package files and others are sims3packs?
6  The Sims 3 / Sims 3 Help / Sims that just stand around driving me nuts/Sims dancing with anybody on: May 20, 2010, 09:31:37 pm
Is it just me or does anyone else have this problem.  This is one household but i have noticed it in others. Female married to one male and engaged to the other.  I am using many mods including Nraas supercomputer and Nraas story progression (I am aware that these are not on this site).  I don't think they have anything to do with my problem anyway because I noticed this problem before I added those mods.  My adult sims will hardly interact with each other.  The 2 males will dance together and talk and one of the males constantly wants to interact with the daughter of his fiance and her husband.  Come on dude she's only 10!  I even sent the whole family to the park and they all just stood around for hours once in a while they would go swing or picnic. Just to test this I lowered their social to nothing.  They still just stood there again for hours. Finally my adult sims did start interacting with the kids, the neighbors and anyone else they could find except the males had nothing to do with their wife/fiance.  I have the males traits as hopless rom, brave, great kiss, family, party animal.  Female is party anim, neat, friendly, brave, family.  The guys are not gay because I've checked.  When I sent all 3 on vacation they were more affectionate with her.  I don't want them to constantly have whoohoo but I'm afraid if I left them alone their relationship with her would just disintigrate.  It also drives me insane to see them dance with everyone except their partner.  I guess I am used to sims 2 where they would not dance with anyone unless they were in a relationship or working on one or I had seen where a son who was not in love but was attracted to females dancing with his monther who was split from her husband.  Any advice would be great
7  The Sims 3 / Pudding WCIF / No going home until I say on: May 20, 2010, 09:09:02 pm
I am looking for a mod that will prevent my sims from going home from downtown until I want them too.  I am so sick of sending my family to the park or out to eat and then one or two of them leave for home.  Sometimes my kids go home alone.  Is there such a mod out there?  Thanks
8  The Sims 3 / Sims 3 Buzz / Will married/engaged/steady sims fall in love with someone else on their own? on: May 06, 2010, 07:56:03 pm
Good evening.  I have played sims 2 for about 2 1/2 years and know it very well.  I recently started playing sims 3. My question is will a sim that is married/engaged/steady initiate an affair that would cause the other party to be a romantic interest on their own with no intervention by me?  They will flirt up a storm and hug amorously (which btw in sims 2 would cause them to fall in love if their relationship was above 70).  This hug does not cause them to fall in love and they don't seem to go any further.  All they seem to do is piss off their spouse but it never comes to anything autonomously.  I know I can make them do it but that takes the suprise out of it.  The other thing that really annoys me is that after the spouse sees the flirt they are mad but then go over and ask the cheater about their day (wtf).  If I saw my spouse do that I'd have no desire to flirt or kiss him let alone talk to him for a few days at least.

What am I missing here?  Do they have to be in the negative on relationship before they will fall for someone else?  Also, they don't make an attempt to apologize.  I have a couple that have had really no contact for several days because their relationship has dropped to the 1/2 way point in green so now I am wondering if they are attracted to each other.  I hope and pray we get the attraction system back somehow.  I hate not knowing if they really like each other or not.  In sims 2 I jumble my attractions around so every couple has 3 bolts for each other.  Anyhelp in understanding would be great.  Thanks in advance.
