1  A Safe Haven / General Discussion / Re: I'm here your where??? on: June 27, 2009, 07:39:15 pm
I'm in Ohio!  And no, not in a cornfield!  I live in the crazy, busy city!  I don't mind living in Ohio, but like many people I would love to see other countries and even other states!  Go Bucks!  (Had to throw that out there)  =)

Wow!  I guess I never tried it before!  Thanks for the info =)

I had no idea a child can die in Sims 3!  One of my sim's kids was swimming in the pool when I noticed he started waving his arms back and forth as if he was struggling to stay afloat.  I clicked on him to try to tell him to get out of the pool and it was too late  Sad  I exited without saving because I was too distraught to keep playing!  Just a warning to protect your sim kiddos with everything you've got!  Also, swimming after exercising may not be the best idea  tongue
4  The Sims 3 / Sims 3 Buzz / Re: Sims 3 twins on: June 10, 2009, 09:44:12 am
I had my sim listen to the kid's radio station and watch the kid's program on TV at the same time during her 1st trimester and a bit of her second... and it worked!  She had triplet girls.  I really didn't think it would work and at most I thought she'd have twins... Nope!  I should have waited to experiment because now the family has a toddler boy and 3 infants.  I think there will be a period of a couple of days where they will all be toddlers!  Yikes!
5  The Sims 3 / Sims 3 Buzz / Re: Where can I get toddler clothing or am I just to stupid? on: June 07, 2009, 06:23:17 am
Actually, you can change a toddler's clothes!  I have found that clicking on the dresser does not work unless my toddler has been taught to walk (and/or talk).  I think just one of those will work.  The toddler must be the selected sim and have them click on the dresser or mirror!  I was also frustrated with this, but after I taught my toddler to walk, he was able to plan his clothes and change his appearance.  I hope this helps!

This was a great idea!  I rarely let my sims have any RC cars because they won't leave them alone!!  Thank you! =)
7  Simmers' Paradise / Where Can I Find...? / Re: Infant stuff and toddler stuff? on: May 01, 2009, 12:51:31 am
Wow!  Thank you so much for taking the time to post all of your favorite nursery items!  I've seen a lot of the things you've posted, but there were definitely some great new things I have to have for my sim babies!  I'm so excited!  Thanks again!!!
8  Simmers' Paradise / General Sims 2 Discussion / So excited about genetics! on: April 20, 2009, 05:16:38 pm
I've read many different posts about people having double digit generations and I envy their ability to stick with one family for that long!  I'm generally very lazy and unfocused when it comes to expanding my sim families and sadly, the most generations I've had is 3.  I decided when I started fresh that I was going to make one family and stick with them as long as I could.  I am happy to say that I am now on my third generation, as two of the main family's kids now have kids of their own!  I was playing earlier and the third grandchild (and the first boy!) was born with his grandmother's eyes!  Is this common?  I fully expected him to come out with his mother's very blue eyes or his father's more subtle green/gray eyes instead he was born with piercing black eyes like his grandmother and two aunts!  I was so surprised!  I can't wait for him to grow out of infancy to see who he resembles!  Also, I'm pretty sure his two cousins have the black eyes too.  I guess they are dominant!

Thanks to anyone who reads my ramblings!   Cheesy

Thank you =)
12  Simmers' Paradise / General Sims 2 Help / Re: Community Lot to Residential on: April 07, 2009, 08:48:14 pm
When I first changed the lot zoning, no sims were living in the dorm.  I immediately moved sims in after changing it, but when I click to enter the property it loads as if no one is living there.  I will play around with it and see if I can figure it out.  Thanks =)

Edit: I think it's toast =*(  I tried everything rwills suggested, but no luck.  In the future, what is the proper way to build a functional dorm?  I don't want this to happen again!
13  Simmers' Paradise / General Sims 2 Help / Re: Community Lot to Residential on: April 07, 2009, 04:01:50 pm
Thank you so much, Sierra!  I figured it was something simple!   Cheesy

Edit:  I changed it to changeLotZoning dorm and when I moved my sims in, it went right into build mode with limited building options.  I changed it to a residential lot and I had full building rights, but my sims were not there!  Any idea on what I did wrong?  I thought changing the zoning to a dorm fixed it, but my sims are not there!  It shows that they live in that dorm, but when I enter the dorm, it's in building mode.  I hope that makes sense...
14  Simmers' Paradise / General Sims 2 Help / Community Lot to Residential on: April 07, 2009, 03:17:07 pm
Is it possible to change a community lot to a residential lot?  I built a new dorm, but accidently made it a community lot without even thinking!  I'd hate to lose all the hard work.  Thanks for the help!
15  A Safe Haven / General Discussion / Re: For those who are name challenged... on: April 04, 2009, 10:53:57 pm
Woah!  Where has this site been all my life?!  I am slightly (just slightly) obsessed with names and I've never heard of this!  *Adds to favorites immediately!*
Wow! That's like a bajillion names, Joy! Ha ha!

I usually twist up a weird name. Summerlynne, isn't so weird, but I have never met a Summerlynne in my life. Or heard of one.

Brianne is pretty unique I guess.

Jeighleigh, Lol.

Bhrett? Pretty! (For Girls)

Aryanna. I don't think it's used enough.

And sometimes, I use boys names for girls names, for fun.
Hayden
Tyler
Dorian (I know a girl named Dorian, but I think it's more boyish, but okay either way.)

Could someone give me some boy names? (That website won't spit out any boy names I like.)
I have a never ending list of names for the girlies, but about 3 for boys. Seriously. Please help me?

I love using boy names for girls!  A few of my favorites:
Rylan (obviously!)
Dylan
Aleksei
Nikolai
Ayden

Just to name a few!  Thank for mentioning the great site, kaoz666 =)
