46  Simmers' Paradise / Mods & Careers / Inelder? on: November 23, 2009, 08:49:24 pm
I have request for a mod that will allow elders to get pregnant. I haven't tried it with insim, but I have a hunch it doesn't work. If anyone can make this for me, or point me in the right direction of where I can find it I would appreciate that. I have every EP and SP.

Also I need one to go along with this will allow elders to retire from elder jobs. Right now they can only retire from their adult jobs.
47  Sims 2 Community Downloads / Misc. Mods and Careers / Historian Career on: November 23, 2009, 02:46:14 am

I've written a brand new career for you to enjoy! It's the Historian Career for adults.

This career has 9 chance cards completed. This career will not overwrite any custom or Maxis careers because it has it's own unique GUID. Does not require any specific EP, but does require at least one EP to function properly. It is not base game compatible. This career is EP ready. I hope you enjoy it!

Here is an example of a chance card question:

Here is a run-down of all career levels:

1. Freelance Numismatic
   wages: 120
days: Tues, Wed, Thurs, Sat, Sun

As a Freelance Numismatic, you are a new studier of coins, currency, and cash. It's your job to scour the local antique shops searching for the best and rarest coins (in mint condition of course). The best coins are in the most obscure places, so you should really search the town for good dealers. Bear in mind, that some shops will take advantage of you, and try to offer you something that would not turn a larger profit for you. Even the unassuming "Mom and Pop" type shop owners can be cut-throat scam artists!

2. Cashier At Coinporium Antique Mall
   wages: 168
days: Tues, Thurs, Fri, Sat, Sun

As a cashier at the Coinporium Antique Mall, it's now your job to ring up customers interested in purchasing coins. You must know what you are talking about if they ask questions about the condition and property of the coins, so you must memorize everything about all the coins in the store, their mint release, their materials, and any history about them that is pertinent. A good way to be able to work with customers is to increase your charisma skill, and a good way to know what you are talking about is to increase your logic skill.

3. Librarian
   wages: 182
days: Mon, Tues, Fri, Sat, Sun

As a librarian, you will be in charge of restocking bookshelves with returned books, and answering questions about the books. You will also be in charge of a history class that will be held at the library. The history class is mainly for elementary and middle school students, with a few high school students. Be sure to increase your film and literature enthusiasm before coming to work by reading novels at home, and watching televison.

4. Community Center History Teacher
   wages: 242
days: Wed, Thurs, Fri, Sat, Sun

You are a Community Center History Teacher. You will be teaching classes at the local Community Center on American History. Your students are mainly adults looking for enrichment, and college students looking to gain extra credit. Be sure to increase your logic skills, so that you will know what you are talking about when teaching the class.

5. High School History Teacher
   wages: 308
days: Mon, Thurs, Fri, Sat, Sun

The local High Shchool was so impressed with your work as a library History class teacher, and Community Center teacher that they decided to offer you a job as a High School history teacher. You will be enriching the minds of the students preparing for college. Logic, charisma, and creativity skills are a must in order to succeed in this crucial stage of your career.

6. Apraiser
   wages: 469
days: Wed, Thurs, Fri, Sat, Sun

As an apraiser, it's your job to travel with the antique road show. You will be putting a value to the antiques that people bring to the road show. You have a vast area of knowledge on the subject of history now, and you really know how to define the correct modern-day price of antiques. Most of the items up for apraisal are date back as far as the late 17th Century, and come from all areas of the world. Be sure to increase your literature enthusiasm at home by reading novels.

7. Historical Author
   wages: 812
days: Mon, Wed, Fri, Sat, Sun

Does Abraham Lincolon's ghost still haunt The White House to this day? Why does his ghost haunt The White House? Why did the maker of Chocolate Clusters choose the name Chocolate Clusters? Whatever happened to Sim City in the roaring 90's? The answer to all of these questions and more will be answered by You in your new books on World History.

8. History Radio Show Host
   wages: 1,208
   days: Mon, Fri, Sat, Sun

You are now hosting the History radio talk show called History, Herstory, Simstory, and the roots of the past in Sim City. It's your job to take calls with questions on the History of Sim City, and how it relates to modern day sims culture. Youv'e gained a lot of knowledge on the subject of history to be able to provide intelligent answers to any callers with burning questions. You should have a firm understanding of social studies, and current events, as well as the past. You can increase your knowledge by watching the news at home, and gaining even more logic skill.

9. College Professor
   wages: 1,330
   days: Thurs, Fri, Sat, Sun

Now you are a college professor who deals in teaching history to the young minds of your University neighborhood. You are required to grade thesis papers, give lectures on the history of Sim City, and write up final exam test papers. All of your previous knowledge of history has culminated to this point in your career. You are almost to the top of your career! Be sure to get in the know of any recent discoveries uncovered by archeologists. You want to be the most well-bred and knowledgeable professor on campus!

10. National History Channel Televison Host
    wages: 4,170
days: Mon, Tues, Wed, Thurs, Fri

You are now the most knowledgable and experienced Historian in all of the sim world. Because of your great achievements in the field of History, you have been asked to host the National History Channel Specials that air for all of sim City to see. Your viewers include nearly 2 million everyday from the areas of Pleasantview, Veronaville, Riverblossom Hills, Disederta Valley, Strangetown, Bella Donna Cove, and 3 custom neighborhoods!

Seen above is the Icon. The icon was extracted from the History Major from University, and made into a propper career icon by me.
48  Simmers' Paradise / Mods & Careers / Easy for someone with experience in BHAVs "Myne Door Lockable by children" on: November 20, 2009, 09:52:04 pm
I need someone who has vast experience in BHAVs to make this mod for me, it is a mod to make children be able to use the Myne Door fully. They should be able to lock it, and knock on it, since they aren't able to do those things already. I tried to make it, but I failed because my knowledge of the PJSE editor, and just BHAVs in general is not so good at all. Latley I've been playing the sims a lot more, and this would be very helpful to me and tons more people. If someone has already made it, please point me in the right direction. Thanks so much,

Jon

P.S.

I have every EP and SP.
49  Simmers' Paradise / Where Can I Find...? / WCIF spend less time eating hack? on: November 19, 2009, 03:09:50 pm
I need a hack that will make sims spend less time eating in the sims 2. I checked over at MATY for the noeatcrap mod, I thought that's what it was, but reading the description of that mod, that's not what it does at all. I'm sure someone somewhere has made this before. I also looked in Squinge's mods here, and typed the word "eating" in the search box and didn't find it. If anyone can point me in the right direction, I would be much appreciative.
50  Sims 2 Community Downloads / Misc. Mods and Careers / Fortune Teller Career For Elders on: November 18, 2009, 11:37:31 pm
