1  Simmers' Paradise / Where Can I Find...? / Re: WCIF.... Killersims Sims 2 downloads? on: June 16, 2009, 09:46:20 pm
More frustrating than that time I tried to play Myst.

Laugh Oh man, I have nothing to add to this thread except that Myst IS incredibly frustrating. Thanks for reminding me Tongue
2  Simmers' Paradise / General Sims 2 Discussion / Re: Creative Ways To Play The Sims on: June 15, 2009, 08:29:31 pm
The two times I was excited to play TS2 were:

.... together with the young dead girl in The House of the Falling Leaves (downtown), which I married to Komei.

What, did you hate the poor girl?!

I really like uninstalling my EP's and slowly re-adding them. Makes me realize all the fun things I've missed and I sometimes discover new features too! I'm really having fun with OFB right now. I agree with caffeinated.joy about the challenges too, some of them *are* really fun. Most of my challenge is just trying not to cheat and seeing how long I manage! blush
3  Simmers' Paradise / General Sims 2 Help / Re: Sims 2 'See Them' Censor Patch - How the Heck Does it Work?! on: June 15, 2009, 11:56:34 am
I use a mac, so I wasn't aware it was updated for Vista. Thanks for filling me in  Wink

Also, since they only wanted a censor remover, Quaxi's mod by itself just seemed a little easier to install.

I would definitely suggest re-reading the Readme included in the .zip file.

Firstly, did you actually unzip it?
Secondly, it doesn't appear to work with Vista, and it definitely won't work for mac.

If you only want a no censor patch, I would suggest using Quaxi's nocensorblur. It's what seethem2 uses anyways, and it's a simple put-it-in-downloads install. I've never had any problems with it.

They're supposedly names of townies...?   huh  I know there's a Kennedy Cox as a townie who isn't all that attractive, so that's what I gathered when I saw "keady cox".

Soonsoon, if you could please make sure what you post is clearer, that may help get your point across better.  Wink

Ah. Thanks for the translation  Wink

That'd be the Cat. I think both are compatible for AL, but *I* prefer the cat anyways. You can also use it to summon other sims, make them selectable, move-in sims, and even to make your own townies/downtownies! Thanks to this, I don't have any more super-ugly Maxis townies!

It depends what EP's you have, which determine which teleporter you download. You'll have either the teleporter Cat (which shows up in sculptures) or the teleporter painting (shows up in... paintings..). Each are one dollar. Just buy it, place it on your lot, click it in Live mode, and select the "put up for adoption" option.

It's really easy.  Grin

You could simply put the photo up somewhere else (tinypic, photobucket), and link it. Avoiding the moderators'/admin's anger is generally a good idea. If you have to ask, the answer's probably no.

Nice poses, by the way. I'll be adding these to my game.

Also, not nearly enough people of either gender below age 16 read guidelines. Thus the many, many padlocks on my "unread posts" page.
10  The Sims 3 / Sims 3 Buzz / Re: Not So Ultra Speed? on: June 06, 2009, 07:12:51 am
I know my machine isn't meant to run it. It has the absolute base specs. required to even run the game. Some parts are laggy as hell, like in-game recolouring.

Perhaps everyone else's is slow because they too have cheap, crappy computers? My method of fixing it may not end up doing s*** for you (and others), if your computer just can't handle the game, as I said.
11  The Sims 3 / Sims 3 Buzz / Re: Not So Ultra Speed? on: June 05, 2009, 09:01:58 pm
It's not ridiculous. Anyone who knows anything about computers would tell you the same thing. It could very well be that yours runs slow because you're running other programs in the background or your graphics card or processor just can't handle it.

Like I said, this method of fixing the problem worked for me.
12  The Sims 3 / Sims 3 Buzz / Re: Not So Ultra Speed? on: June 05, 2009, 04:42:27 pm
I had this problem for a while as well. The game automatically sets its specs to match your computer (ie. Texture detail=low, etc). If you changed any of these settings, it will run very slow, even for ultra speed.

You should try restoring your default settings. If that doesn't work, try playing on a lower resolution, and try zooming out as far as possible when you switch into ultra speed. These all helped me, hope they work for you.  Wink
