1  Simmers' Paradise / Where Can I Find...? / Resolved/please delete/lock on: October 07, 2010, 11:15:25 am
Can anybody tell me where I can find the mod that prevents sims from crying and whining when they grow up to adult without being sent to college, think it is called 'no memory uneducated' I have tried to find this before posting, looked on Simbiology, Mts2, More Awesome and here (haven't looked through every thread but looked through Squinge section and did a search on 'memory' but its just eluding me. I'd forgotten how irritating it is trying to play the game without this installed.

Does anyone know where there are instructions on how to play the game without using your game cd everytime? I thought there were instructions on Mod the Sims but I just went over there and can't find them now and its driving me mad. I am not refering to 'no cd patches' I thought there were seperate instructions on how to do this not related to a patch?

That very sloppy sims with no neatness points could wee in the shower. This amused me as I'm very immature. YAY

Can anyone tell me how do you take pictures so that one can see the user interface panels such as in this example

http://images.apple.com/ca/games/articles/2007/04/thesimslifestories/images/shot2.jpg.

Being something of a technophobe I only know how to take the standard pictures, pressing C in live mode, which doesn't show the UI panels.
6  Simmers' Paradise / General Sims 2 Help / Re: annoying problem on: December 09, 2009, 11:44:28 am
thanks for your reply.

they are doing the surprised face thing rather than just stepping away fron the bath. also the toddler in question was in gold aspiration at the time, its happening in several lots. I did have the inteenimator intsalled, I've now uninstalled it and will test it later to see if the problem is helped at all. Unfortunatley I think I may have several corrupt lots though.
7  Simmers' Paradise / General Sims 2 Help / annoying problem on: December 08, 2009, 09:16:51 am
I've got a problem with sims doing their 'surprised' or 'scared' jump at random objects, like the other day, one sim kept jumping up whilst looking at the bath, and the toddler was 'crying softly' with a picture of the bath up the top, like the bath was a person who had died, but no one had just died Undecided Also they are doing it when there is nothing there at all. I seem to remember reading about this problem ages ago i.e. sims getting spooked at random objects but can't remember what it said, have searched via google, on mod the sims and on here and can't find anything. Its been happening quite a bit. I hope I have explained my problem properly. Does anyone know anything about this.

thank you for your reply, I shall go over there and take a look.
9  Simmers' Paradise / Where Can I Find...? / short hair for female sims on: July 02, 2009, 06:47:15 pm
I'm looking for short hair for female sims that is very masculine and not at all feminine. Either as conversions of existing maxis male styles or brand new meshes. I can't find a picture but the sort of thing I mean is the very short 'flat top' style and the short 'close' afro style. I've managed to find some good ones the other way round i.e. female hairstyles for men which I'm happily using in game but can't find it this way round.

Has anyone seen anything like this around?

I did use search to see if this question had already been asked and couldn't find anything.
10  Resident Creators / Squinge's Mods / Re: In Testing:Teens To Young Adult Without Going To College on: July 02, 2009, 07:08:14 am
Sorry for the annoying questions but will the nomemoryundeucated.zip work as a stand alone? I'm not so worried/bothered about having YA stage sims who go to work/live normally but I really want to be able to pick and choose which of my sims get to go to college and which don't and would prefer to send only a small percentage, but I resent the fact that if I don't send them, they cry and moan and get a bad memory about it rolleyes in my world not everyone wants to go to college, pretty much only knowledge sims would get a bad memory IMHO. I've been considering uninstalling the University EP because of this, but if your no memory file works alone this would be brilliant as the sims I choose not to educate can quit moaning and get on with it. Cheesy

Also your initial post says it doesn't work with Apartment life but the last post in this thread implies that it does and that it is freetime that is the problem, I'm a bit confused?

EDIT - sorry I've just seen your compatability list which actually answers both my questions, didn't see it before. Embarrassed

13  Simmers' Paradise / General Sims 2 Discussion / Re: What would you do if you woke up inside The Sims 2?! on: April 29, 2009, 11:17:02 am
have a big celebration as seeing as the maxis 'fat' female body is not fat, just curvy, then I must have lost tons of weight tongue

unless I was made from custom content Cry  Cheesy
14  Simmers' Paradise / General Sims 2 Discussion / Re: What do you find irritating in the sims? on: April 29, 2009, 10:53:31 am
Just thought of some more.

The way sims are so impatient!! If they have to wait to go down the stairs because someone else is there they flap their arms around and moan like an idiot, it drives me mad, just wait for a few seconds for gawd's sake. And if they can't do an action because they have to wait they end up cancelling it, grrr.

On a similar theme the way they flap and wave and moan if someone else is sitting at the desk using the computer, they get in a right strop about it, obviously sims never learnt to share their toys.

As someone else above said the way visitors don't interact with their hosts, I hate the ones who visit then just end up sitting on the computer browsing the web, its the height ot rudeness to visit someone else's home, not talk to them and just sit at their computer (and I'm saying this as a very shy person myself).

Again agree with what was said above about the stomping on roaches instead of spraying, but I'll add that the crying over it is just ridiculous, just get on with it, spray them and quit crying. lol.

The way the default is to throw dirty nappies (diapers to you Americans) on the floor, I'm not a clean and tidy person but even I know that is just foul, I hate the way they won't use the change station autonomosly and you always have to tell them to do it.

The way that the sims only ever think a baby is crying because it wants food, when a baby cries they never autonomosly think it might want a nappy change or social interaction, its always get the bottle from the fridge and nothing else.
15  Simmers' Paradise / General Sims 2 Discussion / Re: What is the size of your 'Downloads' Folder ? on: April 19, 2009, 03:05:39 pm
I recently had a big clear out and have got it down to 50mb, and set myself a cap of 100mb which I am going to try and stick to.

The highest it has ever been is 600mb.
