2  Simmers' Paradise / Where Can I Find...? / WCIF... The Female Adult conversion of a teen halter dress from Apt. Life? on: September 18, 2010, 09:01:20 pm

Hi, I am looking for the Female Adult conversion of the teen halter dress from Apartment Life. It is short, with a flowery pattern and a black band collar, and it has low-heel pumps. I keep coming across almost every other dress from that EP converted from teen to adult, or adult to teen. If it's been converted, I can't seem to find it here or at MTS. If it has (also) been converted to Female Child, that would be awesome too!

Thanks for your help!

Hi! I uploaded a dress ZIP last night, and the thumbnail didn't appear because I forgot to attach the photo first. So, per the rules of posting, I added a second post with the ZIP. I also included the picture but purposely attached it second so there WOULDN'T be the thumbnail. But in the second post the thumbnail appeared anyway...!!! So could my first post just be deleted since the second post includes the thumbnail and the ZIP file? The title of the thread I would like deleted is Grace Kelly's 1956 Wedding Dress - photo. Thanks in advance for any help!

Here is my rendition of Grace Kelly's (Princess Grace of Monaco) beautiful ivory lace and taffeta wedding dress she wore when she married Prince Rainier III in Monaco in 1956. I hope you like it! Thanks to q3tbo from MTS2 for the incredible mesh - don't forget to download it here (http://nene.modthesims2.com/download.php?t=114235).
6  Simmers' Paradise / General Sims 2 Help / Re: Can't edit clothing alphas on new HP PC with Vista 64-bit... on: May 21, 2009, 04:31:28 am
I use Paint.net. I think I found a solution to my problem - apparently Paint.net doesn't auto save files in the 24-bit BMP format. So I need to make sure that's what format to save files in.

When I mentioned sleeves, I was referring to skintight sleeves only. If you move the alpha up or down the arm, the texture will only show where it's white on the alpha. So I have taken a strapless gown and addwed sheer or solid sleeves to it...
7  Simmers' Paradise / General Sims 2 Help / Can't edit clothing alphas on new HP PC with Vista 64-bit... on: May 21, 2009, 02:54:02 am
I have a brand-new computer (HP desktop - less than 1 month old with 6 GB Ram, AMD Phenom 9550 Quad-Core processor - 2.20 GHz, Nvidia GeForce 9100 graphics card, Windows Vista 64-bit), and I have every EP and SP of Sims 2. The game works great, custom content works great, and I can do recolors in Bodyshop.

What I can't do, and I WAS able to do on my old computer, is edit alphas on clothing. If I so much as remove the alpha of gloves or nylons, or try to change the neckline, the project goes bad and I get a pure white mesh. Even undoing and resaving the original alpha in my paint program will not "cure" the problem - once it's broke it can't be fixed.

I would consider myself pretty experienced with Bodyshop - in the past I've changed sleeveless dresses into long-sleeved ones, made boxer briefs into bikini briefs, changed the opacity with various shades of grey, modified shoe styles, etc. But I can't do any of that any more.

To recap, any changes to the alpha will cause the mesh to turn white with no texture or alpha markings visible. I have a lot of projects I would like to do and cannot do them. Can someone please help me figure out what to do? Any and all assitance is greatly appreciated!
8  Simmers' Paradise / Where Can I Find...? / Re: WCIF a quality jockstrap for males teen and up? on: May 21, 2009, 01:44:50 am
Miss_Nette, the jockstrap you posted the link to is EXACTLY what I'm looking for - except for regular Maxis bodies. I don't have any custom body types in my game and don't wish to do so. Thanks for the link though!
9  Simmers' Paradise / Where Can I Find...? / WCIF a quality jockstrap for males teen and up? on: May 17, 2009, 05:05:37 pm
I am looking for a jockstrap like this. I swear I had found/downloaded one before but I lost a lot of data a while ago. I have searched the logical places (here, ISA, MTS2, SexySims, even <gasp> TSR) and I am not impressed with the quality of the few I have found. Either the waistband is too narrow, the pouch doesn't cover as well as it should, or the legstraps don't line up correctly. I hope this isn't considered adult content, but I did post this request at ISA as well just in case. Thanks in advance for any help provided! I have tried creating one myself but they never turn out right...

Admin note: please don't upload your images to the server, please use Photobucket or something similar. Thank you and have a nice day.
10  Simmers' Paradise / Where Can I Find...? / WCIF stereo mod? on: May 14, 2009, 04:11:10 am
I downloaded a mod that makes the Sim turn off the TV when they are done watching, so it's not playing forever once turned on. Now I'm looking for a mod to do the same thing to the stereo... The non-stop music is driving me nuts! Along with that, is there a mod that randomizes the stations? It seems the Sims always select the same station. The first mod is the more wanted of the two, but in lieu of that one the second mod would be most excellent! Thanks!
11  Simmers' Paradise / General Sims 2 Discussion / Homework placement question on: May 05, 2009, 11:19:40 pm
Hi there! After several months (and a new computer), I am finally able to play the Sims 2 again! I noticed something odd and was wondering if others have this issue... When my teens come home from school, they place their homework on their desk next to the computer. But when I direct them to do homework, they won't do it because there isn't a chair there. Why do they place it somewhere that they can't grab it from? I end up having to go in buy or build mode and move the homework to the floor, where they used to put it before I gave them desks... What am I doing wrong? What's the point of leaving an empty space on the desk if it's unuseable after something is placed there by a Sim?
12  Simmers' Paradise / Where Can I Find...? / Re: Default grass cover on: May 05, 2009, 11:13:28 pm

Yes, the one pictured on the right... I know how to undo, but sometimes I make changes after I've saved, logged out and log back in.

Thanks for everyone's ideas! I am surprised that something so simple hasn't been made into CC by anyone yet. I have found one of the Maxis terrain grasses matches close enough so I use that in the affected areas and then spot it around the yard elsewhere so it doesn't look like the obvious mistake that it is...  Wink

Thanks a bunch for the reply and the links! They weren't quite what I was looking for, but your help is appreciated all the same!  Rock
14  Simmers' Paradise / Where Can I Find...? / Default grass cover on: May 04, 2009, 01:13:24 pm
Hello! Does anyone know where I can get the default grass cover that empty lots come packaged with? I do landscaping around trees with mulch and sometimes I make a mistake or decide to move/remove the tree, and I noticed there isn't a terrain/ground cover option that exactly matches the default green grass. I'm sorry I don't have a picture of it... I've searched the forum here and the download section at MTS2 for cutom ground cover, to no avail. Any help would be greatly appreciated!

Thank you! I thought the bright colors were something different. I am glad you like them!
