1  Simmers' Paradise / General Sims 2 Discussion / Grand Theft Auto III reference? on: April 16, 2009, 10:56:04 am
While this couples children* were doing there homework (*yes, hacked) i went to go see what the parents were doing. And obviously while one of the mothers was on the toilet i noticed Calude from GTA3 (he also makes a appearance in san andreas) on the newspaper. That is also the same on Grand Theft Auto 3 where some newspapers on the floor had claude on the back.

Now i would say they look pretty similar (exept claude on the paper is simmed out). What do you think?

And yes, the girl has for some reason desided to go into the bathroom to wash the dishes when theres a perfectly good sink in the kitchen  huh

EDIT: if you never played GTA3, but played San Andreas, click here for the SA edition of Claude (if your that interested  tongue)
2  Simmers' Paradise / General Sims 2 Help / How to stop neighbourhood objects dissapearing? on: April 16, 2009, 04:36:20 am
Yo. I was looking at a picture by someone when i noticed in the background there was a faded neighbourhood object. My neighbourhood objects (that i placed on a lot) keep disappearing and i want it to stop so i can take pictures with the objects included! Is this at all possable? thanks  Grin

EDIT: By 'disappearing' i mean objects that disappear for the camera, not completely disappearing altogether.
3  Simmers' Paradise / General Sims 2 Help / Is my schoolbus glitched? (quick question) on: April 15, 2009, 05:19:10 am

4  The Sims 3 / Sims 3 Buzz / Will sims 3 have 'direct' controls? on: April 15, 2009, 04:22:50 am
Will it have direct controls like sims 2 console version? where instead of pilling up interactions you could control a sim where they go and you could move the sims with the arrow keys (move the camera with WASD, or opposite way round) and press enter to interact with a nearby object? that was one of the key features of sims 2 ps2. If you really dont understand what im yabbering about, watch this video (it happens around 2:05)
5  Simmers' Paradise / Objects & Recolors / Dead rising convicts jeep! on: April 09, 2009, 03:19:15 pm
Hey ho wussup yo?

This came to me just now, im a dead rising addict (cant wait for DR2!) and i wanted to make a video of the sims 2 doing dead rising convict cutscene (and possibly the fight scene, then i can use my GoneGuru track)

So i wanted to request if someone can make the Convict Jeep? it would be nice if someone could make a similar looking jeep to the picture (i dont care about pollycount crap, make as many polys as you need) it would be good if its layed out as the picture too if possable (2 sims in the front 1 sim on the gun behind) It would be greatly appreciated if someone could, and i would definatly give credit to the maker in my video.

Also, could anyone make the convict garbs? (standard american prisoner garb i assume, orange jumpsuit with the prisoner number on the back, i made one but its for teenage females  tongue)

Thanks for reading! - CD/SD

6  Simmers' Paradise / General Sims 2 Help / getting 960x600 to display aspiration and needs spontaniously on: April 09, 2009, 02:27:12 pm
I was actually so bored to measure it, and it turns out both boxes have enough room to open up at the same time, exept the problem is, they dont. Is there a way to make both boxes appear on 960x600 mode? (my screens 1024x786 but i like to play in windowed mode)

8  Simmers' Paradise / General Sims 2 Discussion / The 'Against The Knee Buster of Urbs' thread on: April 07, 2009, 11:01:42 am
c'mon maxis, where is the urbz? that was the bomb for ps2! if it was pc that would be wicked! Or at least a extention for sims 2/3 or something! Im being deprived of Urban goodness, so much its making me write loads of boring crap! Who else wishes Urbs for PC?

edit: The disscussion on urbs has been and gone blah blah now lets complain about the damn monkey yay!
9  Simmers' Paradise / General Sims 2 Discussion / I have the safest neighbourhood ever! Plus, angry sims are useful to me! on: April 07, 2009, 10:00:20 am
I dont know what the heck happens with people who have the burglary job, but it seems there is NO burglars in my neighbourhood! There has been NO buglaries and i played the game since 2007! Since then, nada burglaries! zilch, squat, nil, zero, not a soul. Its extremely strange. I even put a load of expensive things outside (eg vases) and built no burlar alarms or walls, guess what? Unless a angry sim booting a trashcan counts as a burglar, NONE.

About the other thing;

Has your sim been on the drink, and ended up snogging there lovers best mate in front of them? is he going red in anger? thats when you know your bin is going to be knocked over and your newspapers are stolen on a daily routine. And strangely, its become useful to one of my sim's lot's.

Every time the angry ex kicks down the bin, it gives the maid something to do. And also, she NEVER reads the newspaper. So that helps that he steals it. Neat eh?  Rock
