17  Simmers' Paradise / General Sims 2 Discussion / Re: Do you think the awesome mod will be for sims 2? on: September 04, 2009, 08:53:49 pm
First, there are helping post over at MATY explaining how to install awesome mod so it works for you.  There is no reason it should not work for you if you.

Second, mods for Sims 2 are not done the same way, it is not a whole bunch of fixes into one file as the awesome mod is for Sims 3.  Reason is Sims 2 and 3 are not program the same way and mods cannot be done the same way either.

I suggest you try Pescado's director's cut and/or look in Squinge section on this site, he has many many useful mods. There are alson many other sites with mods like MTS2 for example.  Unlike awesome mod, for Sims 2 each are done individually so you can choose which features or fix you want or not.  You can have as many mods you want but just make sure to use the right one according to the latest ep you have install and also check they are not conflicting with one another using the HCDU tool.

Let us know the result.

If only on that lot well you will have to move your family in a new house and bulldoze this lot.  If on other lots too then first thing to try is to delete your groups.cache file it sometimes fixes issue.  If that does not help then ran the HCDU to make sure no mods are conflicting.

Until then take care all of you.

Did you check while playing if the new downtownies you made do appear on community lots and if they look normal?

I think it is the first thing to do for now.
21  Simmers' Paradise / General Sims 2 Help / Re: How to replace unditable sims? on: September 03, 2009, 10:14:55 pm
ok I personally do not reallyknow  how to do this or if it is even possible but if it is, I am sure there are some specialized Sims 2 site that did some replacement for them an explain in details how to install them.

You will have to do a bit of search with google or use the search feature of this site in case so you can check if someone ask that same question before.

Sorry fot not giving more help then this but it is all I can think of right now.

Sounds to me you are doing more then needed already.

Coubld be a possible mod conflict or your lot got corrupted somehow.  Did you check to make sure all your mods are up to date?

Which EP's do you have?

I've been able to put teens and kids to private school with AL without any problems and I did not go into as much trouble as you.

Is this happening only on this specific lot or on all your lots?

23  Simmers' Paradise / General Sims 2 Help / Re: Insiminator not supported on: December 15, 2008, 10:38:07 pm
There are a few other tools you can use instead of the insimenator and as far as I know, they are still supported.

1- Inge's teleporter shrub than can be found on this site in the teleporting section:  http://www.simlogical.com/sl/Sims2Pages/Sims2.htm  Take a look around since she have many usuful mods and objects.

2- Twojeff's SimBlender that can be found on this site in TJ's Sims 2 downloads section: http://www.simbology.com/smf/index.php  This is another site you should take a look around since there are many nice mods there too.

Delphy is still very active at MTS2, you should ask in the DDO thread if it will be updated or not and if it does need update or not.

If by taking a shower or bath the sim appearance is not fix, the thing to do is to use a mirror and temporarely put a FACE MASK save and then use the mirror again and remove it.

It normally does the job.
26  Simmers' Paradise / General Sims 2 Help / need help!!!! on: November 27, 2008, 04:50:02 pm
This can be cause by many things.  We need more information.

Did you recently add new cc or mod in your game?

Did you update all of them before or after you install a new ep
27  Simmers' Paradise / Apartment Life Help / TV's Don't work please help! on: November 02, 2008, 08:20:50 pm
Glad your problem is solved. Smiley

If you do not mind telling us which mod it was so if others experience the same problem, they will check if they have this mod in.  It would help.

Thanks.

Did you try to completely remove your downloads (all of it) and see if the tvs are acting normally?

If it does work normally without any cc then either a custom tv, another cc or a mod is causing this, you will have to isolate it.  It is not because there is nothing showing in the HCDU that everything is ok.  Also some cc objects are in need of updates when a new ep is out.

Did you enable custom content in the game options?
30  Resident Creators / Mod Requests / Less Likely To Spontanosley Conbust Mod on: October 28, 2008, 10:58:43 pm
The Seasons patch definitely solved that problem for good, I strongly suggest you download and install it.   My game is working totally fine with the patch install, it fix more problems then it created for sure.

Along with the mods Chaviik suggest you, Squinge made a no automous hot tub mod for residential lot so guests won't go in it unless you invite them.  It is compatible with Seasons.  Here is a direct link to it: No autonomous hot tub I use it along with this mod, it is a good combination for me:  No staying in hot tub all day/night
